The statements credited
to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Olugbenga Ashiru on his stand on
gay right issues in Nigeria is a bit worrisome by saying that ‘’ he begged the
West to be patient with Nigeria and
allow this lifestyle to take root here and be accepted by the Nigerian people
before it would be given a free rein,’’He went further by saying that ‘’Nigeria
will accept gay diplomat to serve in the country’’
Why is he begging the West because of homosexual-ism of a
thing? This attitude is against our cultures and believe? Is homosexual a
food that if we don't have it we will all perish? Someone need to call this guy
to order.
However, the two federal
legislative houses have promulgated and passed a law that stipulated
14-year jail term for people caught ,tried and sentenced for practicing homosexual
, lesbianism ,bisexual,transgender acts in Nigeria, and the President Goodluck
Jonathan let his support to this law.
In that case , we need to ask the minister whether he knows
better than the country ? Or is he a lobbyist for the gay right?
