SECURITY OF INSECURITIES

........Nigeria is my beloved country...I love this great country with passion. Everything about Nigeria are great...we are blessed with good land, that is flowing   with milk and honey !!!...we have well educated peoples that can match head -to-head with any intellectuals around the world... we have tested and trusted technocrats in civil service, private and public sectors...i can even say we are so blessed  by the Almighty God. But why are we where we are?

The last time i traveled to Nigeria en-route Amsterdam i felt at ease with the security there...first of all i checked in my luggage by myself ..without no difficulty, went through the Immigration without any stupid question of'' where am i  going,or why am i a black man'' !!!......i also went through the customs without any hassle.

In European countries the Immigration treat there citizen with dignity.....they are all kings and queens when you hold the ''RED P''...everything is fast track as travelling is concern..they have what they called...''EU GATE'' where there citizen go through with ease.

On getting to Nigeria, it was business as usual, too many securities agent at the Airports, Immigration, State security service, NDLEA, Customs, Police,NSCDC, just too many ...lots of uniforms which you cannot even decode...all in the name to '' collect something'' from you...My question is ....do our leaders see all this things?

Internal security is not fear also...I went to SEME BORDER....i counted multiple checks point totaling 22 from that place to MILE 2 ...Immigration, NDLEA,Custom,Lastma,Road safety, Police, NCSDC, SSS,....just too many i cant even identify....what went through my mind was that are we security conscious or just creating state of terror to make life difficulty for the poor in our midst?

In my opinion, it is the high time we put the round pegs in the round holes...any security agent that do not have business at our border post must be removed with immediate effect...hence we will just be in a merry-go-round situation.
