Earlier today, we brought you reports of an Italian man who insulted a Nigerian lady for being a black woman. Well, seems like he got served, as he has now taken to same social media to pen down an apology.

According to the Italian man, he just wanted to create an awareness with the post. He
also thanked Nigerians for helping him battle the issue of racism.

South Africa based ,Nigerian pastor, Tim Omotoso who is accused of molesting the congregants of his church including teenage girls has been taken into custody.

The Hawks earlier confirmed they are investigating allegations of human trafficking against the televangelist - following a lead by the SABC's Special Assignment.
 The controversial Nigerian pastor was arrested on Thursday, April 20, at the Port Elizabeth airport in a dramatic show by the Hawks and some members of the police's tactical response unit.

The plane touched down at the airport at around 3pm when he and other passengers entered the baggage arrival hall, members armed with automatic weapons rushed into the area as he appeared to be fleeing.

In the confusion, some members were seen running through the airport looking for him but he was found inside the toilet in the arrivals.

He was then marched out of the toilet and the airport building to an awaiting car, as crowds at the airport cheered his arrest.

Hawks spokesperson, Robert Netshiunda says the evangelist could be facing more charges.
"We have arrested him for trafficking persons. We are laying that charge now. Because we are investigating further, there's a possibility of us adding more charges," he said.
Below is a statement issued by the South African Police Service on Thursday:
"The #Hawks’ #HumanTrafficking Unit in Port Elizabeth has on Thursday, 20 April 2017 arrested a Durban-based pastor on a charge of human trafficking in Port Elizabeth.

The 58-year-old pastor allegedly trafficked young women and girls from various branches of his church to a house in, uMhlanga, Kwazulu-Natal where he allegedly exploited them sexually.
The pastor was arrested shortly after landing at the Port Elizabeth International Airport by the Hawks and the South African Police Service’s Tactical Response Team (TRT) members.
The suspect will appear before the New Law Court in Port Elizabeth on Friday, 21 April.

MANHUNT FOR A NIGERIAN PASTOR ACCUSED OF SEXUAL MOLESTING IN SOUTH AFRICA !

JOHANNESBURG – A manhunt for a pastor accused of sexually molesting his congregants is likely to be over soon.( read story here)

Police said in a statement they had made contact with pastor Tim Omotoso and his arrest was being arranged.

Omotoso, a Nigerian national, is the leader of the Jesus Dominion International in Durban. Girls have accused him of luring them into his house to molest them.

Most of the church's members are young people, who say he has betrayed their trust.

Omotoso has been in hiding, but police are confident he'll be behind bars soon.

RUSSIA BANS JEHOVAH WITNESS ....SAYS IT'S AN "EXTREMIST ORGANISATION"

Russia's Supreme Court on Thursday declared Jehovah's Witness as an extremist organization and ordered the state to seize its property in Russia. The court, after six days of hearings, ordered the closing of the group’s Russia headquarters and its 395 local chapters.

The Interfax news agency quoted Justice Ministry attorney Svetlana Borisova in court as saying the Jehovah’s Witnesses pose a threat to Russians.

'They pose a threat to the rights of the citizens, public order and public security,' she told the court.
Confirming the ruling, the religious group said:
'We are greatly disappointed by this development and deeply concerned about how this will affect our religious activity,”

Yaroslav Sivulskiy, a spokesman for Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia, said in emailed comments.

'We will appeal this decision, and we hope that our legal rights and protections as a peaceful religious group will be fully restored as soon as possible, the statement added. Interfax news agency quoted Sergei Cherepanov, a Jehovah's Witnesses representative, as saying that the group will appeal to the European Court of Human Rights. 'We will do everything possible,' he said.

The ban would directly affect around 175,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses followers, a group which was legally registered as a religious group in Russia in 1991 and re-registered in 1999.

PRESIDENT JONATHAN RELEASED N15 BILLION FOUND IN APARTMENT IN IKOYI FOR HIS 2015 CAMPAIGN ~~FORMER NIA DIRECTOR

A retired deputy director in the National Intelligence Agency, Ibrahim Ibrahim, has alleged that the N15 billion found in an apartment in Ikoyi last week, was part of the money Former President Goodluck Jonathan released through the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) for the PDP 2015 campaigns.

According to DailyTrust, Ibrahim who retired in 2006 said Jonathan approved the money for the distribution to PDP chieftains during his campaign period.

The suspended NIA Director General, Ayo Oke, however refused to distribute the said money. “A lot of things have happened; a lot of public officers have actually drifted away from the disciplined course and as a result so many things have happened.

The NIA is not an exception at all. I think what really happened was that the money was issued to the agency (NIA) just in the same way it was given to the NSAs office. President Jonathan approved $289 million or so in November 2014 in excess of the approved budget of the agency.

So, that excess was intended as campaign funds and the agency, the DG NIA in particular, was supposed to disburse the fund but along the way, he found a way of diverting even that one for his own private use,” Ibrahim said. When asked why campaign funds should be channelled through the NIA, Ibrahim, who worked closely with Oke before he retired, said,

“As I mentioned, it was intended as campaign funds and it was diverted the way money was given to NSA Dasuki that was the same way it was given to Ayo Oke. It was not meant specifically for the operations of the agency but a kind of money laundering for the agency to launder the money for PDP chieftains. I think they saw that security agencies are a kind of perfect means through which money laundering for such purposes could be done because it is simply to say the money is for operations”. When asked whether it was normal for huge sums of money to be kept in private homes in the name of covert operations, Ibrahim who claims to have worked closely with the suspended NIA DG, Ayo Oke, said “It’s abnormal; it’s a total lie. There’s no way any operation would be approved and then it would not be conducted in more than two years. As I said, this money was approved in November 2014 and we’re now in April 2017-two years plus! It’s not normal. Certainly President Jonathan approved some money to be laundered through the agency for campaign purposes but he did it as if he was giving the agency allocation of funds for their operations and he did it in excess of their budget,” he said. Speaking on the probable source of the funds, Ibrahim said, “Well, it is possible the money came from the NNPC and it might have come just directly from the Villa; there’re a number of ways,” he said.

AIR FORCE OFFICER STABS NDLEA OFFICIAL AT LAGOS AIRPORT !

 There was drama at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport earlier yesterday as an official of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) was stabbed by a Nigeria Air Force (NAF) officer during a disagreement.

According to reports, the officers engaged in a heated argument over when they should close for the day.

The officers who work at the Hajj and Cargo Terminal international wing of the airport reportedly agreed to close by 7pm for some security reasons. At about 5pm, the Nigeria Air Force officer went against their agreement and asked everyone to leave the terminal. The NDLEA asked him to wait till 7pm as they had all agreed. This led to a heated argument which degenerated into a Physical fight. As the officers fought, it is alleged that another Air Force officer stepped in to defend his colleague and he stabbed the NDLEA official.

The injured NDLEA officer who was bleeding profusely was rushed to the hospital.

2019 ELECTION : MAJOR AL-MUSTAPHA FLOATS NEW PARTY (GREEN PARTY OF NIGERIA)

The former Chief Security officer (CSO) to late General Sani Abacha, Maj. Hamza Al-Mustapha has floated a new political party ahead of the 2019 election. In a statement on Thursday, April 20, Al-Mustapha who in 2013 said he had no intention to venture into politics, announced officially, that the party will be called Green Party of Nigeria (GPN).

Al-Mustapha in 1993 was accused of the murder of Kudirat Abiola, the wife of late Chief Moshood Abiola.He stood trial for the murder and was sentenced to death by Mojisola Dada, justice of the Federal High Court, Lagos,on January 30, 2012, but was discharged and acquitted by the Court of Appeal in 2013

 Victor Emmanuel, 45, who has been arrested by officers of the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly impregnating a 13-year-old girl, has asserted that he sees nothing wrong with that.

Confessing to committing the said crime, Victor who is a tailor,  said;

“I didn’t rape her! We are in a relationship. We’re even planning to get married. We have been dating for 8 months now. The girl’s parents know me. Yes, I know she’s pregnant for me.
I have accepted the pregnancy and I’m already taking care of her. I have started the marriage rites. In fact, the girl’s parents had been collecting money from me. I have paid N20,000 to them for introduction and to buy drinks.

They have also asked me to bring N100,000, out of which I have paid N64,000. The school authority said she was too young. The school authority insisted that I should come to the school. When I got to the school, I was arrested.”

However, the Investigating Police Officer (IPO), Sergeant Mary Ikumo, said that the victim’s parents claimed not to know or had ever set eyes on Emmanuel, alleging that their daughter, who is just in primary six, was raped by Emmanuel.

“The mother of the victim said she didn’t know the suspect from Adam. The mother said that the girl used to hawk plantain and the suspect was one of her customers. He used to tip the girl N500 every time he buys plantain from her. One day, he pulled her into his shop and raped her” he said.

News Telegraph reported that Victor who is from Imo State, was arrested by detectives attached to the Ajangbadi Police Station,, after the victim’s school alerted them. The police said that the suspect raped the girl and described her as a minor.

Sad ! Over 30 football fans watching the UEFA Europa League football quarter-final match between Manchester United and Anderlecht, lost their lives in an electrocution tragedy which happened at a viewing center in Nyahasang, Atimbo Calabar, Cross River state last night.

According to reports, a transformer near the viewing center fell which caused one of the high tension cables attached to the transformer to fall on the zinc of the viewing center building. At least 30 people died from the electrocution while the few that survived were badly burnt and have been taken to Cross River state Teaching hospital. May their souls rest in peace. Amen. BREAKING : TOTTENHAM YOUTH COACH UGO EHIOGU IS DEAD!

The Youth coach of Premier league club, Tottenham, Ugo Ehiogu,has passed on. According to Tottenham's official website, the Nigerian/Briton died this morning after he was rushed to hospital by ambulance after suffering a heart attack on Thursday .

Ehiogu played for Aston Villa and Middlesbrough over 350 times and also represented England four times. He was aged 44 and is survived by a wife and son. May his soul rest in peace...
