ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP:HUSBAND SLAUGHTERED WIFE

This is another epic reason why women must run away from any iota of unending abusive relationship or else it is a point of no return. Try to work things out but if push comes to shove, remember the first law of nature, law of self preservation, Love thyself first!
According to friends of the late woman. Endurance and Isaac were married for four years and had one child together. They also ran a business together, an education consulting firm. Sometime last year, Endurance found out that her husband was having an affair with one of their employees and this caused serious problems between them. Endurance eventually moved out of her matrimonial home with her 2 year old daughter.
On Saturday morning April 13th, Isaac’s friend, a guy named Stanley came to pick Endurance from her office, saying that her in-laws (mother-in-law and sister-in-law) were waiting for her at her husband’s house and wanted to resolve some issues with her. Endurance went with Stanley.
Endurance Ajisegiri’s family got a call on Sunday April 14th from her husband, Isaac Ajisegiri, informing them that she had died at their home in the Shasha area of Lagos the previous day and he had taken her corpse to the mortuary. Endurance’s family immediately called the police.
The following day, her corpse was deposited at Crystal Hospital by Isaac. Her throat had been slit with a knife from inside her kitchen. Isaac told police that endurance killed herself with the knife after a serious argument. Isaac, his mother and sister (who slept in the house that night) are now in police custody. Stanley is no where to be found. The case is being handled by the Homicide Department of the State Criminal Investigation Department.

RACISM IN 21ST CENTURY: AS BANANA THROWN @ ITALY'S FIRST BLACK MINISTER

CECILE KYENGE
Integration minister Cecile Kyenge, who was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, was making a speech at the Friday rally when a member of the audience began to launch the pieces of fruit towards her. The bananas missed the podium where she was speaking but the incident drew a deluge of condemnation in the media, where politicians and commentators lamented the shame brought on the country by the actions of the far-right.
"Another shameful and disgraceful gesture. Solidarity with the Minister Kyenge. Now let's just isolate the idiots," said Gianni Alemanno, former mayor of Rome.
"I am ashamed to share the country with people like this," wrote one Twitter user, Eugenio Iannelli, reflecting the dismay of many on the social media network.
The treatment of Ms Kyenge has thrown a spotlight on the ugly racist currents running through some strands of society in Italy, a country grappling with tensions over rising levels of immigration, particularly from North Africa.
Since her appointment in April she has suffered a campaign of harassment from far-right groups angered by her campaign to make it easier for immigrants to gain Italian citizenship.

YERIMA DAYS ARE NUMBERED....A MAN SENTENCED TO 20-YEAR FOR MARRYING A 14-YEAR OLD CHILD

The Court of Appeal Friday confirmed a 20-year sentence handed to a man who “married” a 14-year-old girl in 2010.
Ezekiel Sonkoyo Friday lost his second and final appeal seeking to quash the sentence that was handed to him by a Kilgoris court after being found guilty of defiling the Form One student.
Sokonyo from Transmara District of Narok County, cohabited with a girl, who was a student at Siria Secondary School.
He took her to Eldoret from her home on August 17, 2010.
It took two months for the father of the girl to trace her and found her living with Sonkoyo as his wife.
Sonkoyo said he knew the girl was 14, but had sexual relations with her because he intended to marry her.
However, Lady Justice Ruth Sitati, who heard the first appeal, quoted the Sexual Offences Act, saying, given her age, the girl could not legally give consent.
The judge upheld the 20-year jail sentence, which the magistrate’s court had handed to Sonkoyo in her ruling delivered in January last year.
Sonkoyo then moved to the Court of Appeal, where he was heard in June. He insisted that he had been convicted on a defective charge sheet and that no one had reported to the police that the girl was missing.
But the Court of Appeal, sitting in Kisumu and constituted of Justices Onyango Otieno, Festus Azangalala and Sankale ole Kantai, upheld the ruling of the lower courts.

GOODLUCK JONATHAN ASKED TO SOFT PEDAL

President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday had a closed-doors meeting with five Northern Peoples Democratic Party governors in a step towards resolving the crisis rocking the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.
The meeting, which was held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, had in attendance governors Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), Babangida Aliyu (Niger), Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano), Ibrahim Geidam (Yobe) and Kashim Shettima (Borno).

The governors want the President to implement the following demand:
'' to support the chairman of the NGF, who is from his zone and who was elected by the majority of the governors.''
“They also told him that he should realise that he came to office through election and not through endorsement, which Jang is claiming to have before the NGF election.
“They told the President pointedly that there was no way he could wash his hands off what is happening in both the NGF and Rivers State and that he must act as a leader.
“They said if he could do these three things, the tension in the country would be reduced drastically,”

INCREDIBLE........A WOMAN SOLD HER NEW BORN BABY FOR N100,OOO.

Heartless Mum
The police in Imo State are now investigating how  a 27 year old housewife, Mrs Njideka Okorie eloped with six months pregnancy and went into hiding where she was later delivered of a baby girl which she sold to one Agatha Okoronkwo at Isieka Ihiala in Anambra State for N100,000.
Saturday Sun  gathered that Njideka has been married to Samuel Okorie , for  over 10 years. The marriage was already blessed with four children while they were expecting the fifth child, the wife eloped with six months pregnancy from their home in Orlu, Imo State.
The housewife also fled her matrimonial home with the other four children
in March and returned four months after, precisely on July  5, 2013, with  the four kids, but without the pregnancy of their fifth child.
It was learnt that the inability of Njideka to explain what happened to their baby led the husband to lodge a complaint against her at the Orlu police station.
While confirming the development, the  Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mr Mohammed Katsina told Saturday Sun  that ,” I have to send my ‘Police Ambush Squad’ to arrest Njideka Okorie and she confessed that she delivered the baby on June 27, 2013 but that she sold it for N100,000 to one Agatha
Okoronkwo . She said the child is a female and was sold when she was three weeks old.”The police boss stated that the police detectives travelled to  Isieka Ihiala in
Anambra State to arrest the suspect, Agatha Okoronkwo , a civil servant who allegedly bought  the three-week old child.
The complainant, Samuel Okorie told  Saturday Sun that,” I was shocked  that  before I came to the house, my wife has eloped with my four children and my six months old pregnancy  she has for me.” He added that “suddenly, she appeared  again after two months . She  came with  my four  children . But I didn’t see the  pregnancy  again  and there was no baby. I was not happy  and reported the case to Orlu police station.”
Okorie explained that, “ It  was when  my wife  was arrested by the police that she confessed to have sold a-three  week old baby for N100,000 to a woman in Ihiala in Anambra State. Thank God that the police recovered the baby.”
“I didn’t quarrel or have any misunderstanding with her. We were living together in peace. I was surprised that my wife  left the house suddenly “, he added. In her confessions on why she sold her baby,  Njideka said  “ It was  the work of the devil. I have never had any misunderstanding with  my husband . I just left suddenly  and  I went to deliver the baby and later sold it for N100,000. I delivered the baby and sold it  after  three weeks.
“I came back to my husband’s house and with his four children and he asked me about  the pregnancy but I didn’t say anything. He later went to report the matter to the police and I was arrested. It was then that I confessed that I sold the child for N100,000. The police followed me to my father’s house and they  recovered  N78,000 out of the N100,000 I received from the sale of the child.”
In her own explanation, Agatha Okoronkwo stated that “ It was when she (Njideka) contacted me and  I  needed  a child. I work at the Red Cross Organization. I bought the child for  N100,000. I needed  a baby  and bought the three-week old baby from her in Owerri..”
The state police commissioner said his command had recovered  the  baby  and handed  her over to  a rehabilitation home. He said the suspects will  soon be charged to court after thorough investigation.
