CORONER'S INQUEST INTO SYNAGOGUE BUILDING COLLAPSE: DISABLES STORMED THE IKEJA HIGH COURT

According to LindaIkeji’s blog(photos), disabled individuals stormed the Ikeja High Court this morning October 30th for the Coroner's Inquest into the Synagogue church building collapse.

The supporters who were there to show their solidarity to Prophet TB Joshua carried signs that read "Don't push Joshua out of Nigeria by your actions in the matter", another read "Lagos State handle this matter with caution", and another read "People are not stupid, it was controlled demolition" etc

It is important to note that the
Lagos State government set up a coroner of inquest for the purpose of investigating the cause of the building collapse on September 12th that left more than 115 people dead.

The Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Ade Ipaye, had instigated the coroner’s inquest pursuant to Section 15 of the Lagos State Coroner’s System Law No. 7 of 2007.

The coroner of inquest, headed by Magistrate O. A. Komolafe, has been charged with the duty of establishing the cause of the collapse of Synagogue’s six-storey building that killed no fewer than 115 persons.

The commissioner was quoted to have enumerated the responsibility of the coroner to include the following:
“The law requires the verdict of a coroner, as certified in writing, to be forwarded to the State Attorney General and such verdict may form the basis of criminal prosecution depending on the evidence collected.

“The coroner is expected to announce his sitting or visitation schedules and other details and to hold the inquest at the premises of the High Court of Lagos State, Oba Akinjobi Way, Ikeja.

“In doing this, coroner has all the powers of a magistrate to summon and compel the attendance of witnesses, including medical examiners, and require them to give evidence, produce documents or present other relevant materials.”
However, the Lagos State Commissioner for Physical Planning & Urban Development, Toyin Ayinde, who was at the inquest, said that the collapsed building was illegal, that the church didn't get any approval for the building. He also said that the main church currently has three additional illegal floors.

BIG BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL: MY BOOBS BRINGS ME TO LIMELIGHT...RONKE OJO

Ronke Ojo Anthony, aka Oshodi Oke, is big, bold and beautiful. She is also a good actress. This star actress, in an interview with Vanguard newspaper reveals intimate secrets about her life and career.

Which film brought you to limelight?
It was Oshodi Oke, written and produced by Sunday Soyinka in 2000. A friend introduced me to him and I went to the location. On getting there, Iyabo Yoyo and the producer had issues and she left angrily. I didn’t know what was happening but I was given her role, the lead role in the movie. I never knew it was the lead role, the joy of having to take up such a big role was enough for me and I enjoyed every bit of it. When the film was premiered at the National Theatre, everybody loved it and that was when it dawned on me that I was cheated because I wasn’t made to understand I was taking a lead role or rewarded as such. But I was too happy to care, I shed tears.

You have big boobs, have they caused you any embarrassment?
Before now, I get ashamed of them. But I later began to see the beautiful side and stopped hiding them because they fit me. People appreciate my boobs and I also love it. My boobs are one of the things that brought me to limelight in the movie industry.

ZAMBIA GETS FIRST WHITE PRESIDENT

Vice-President Guy Scott, 70, issued a statement confirming his temporary promotion as interim President. This makes him the first white president of an African nation since FW de Klerk ruled apartheid South Africa more than 20 years ago.
Scott, whose parents were from Scotland, is not eligible to stand in the upcoming presidential election — which must be held within the next 90 days — because of a rule in Zambia’s 1996 constitution barring heads of state with foreign parents.

“Dr Scott will act as president of the Republic of Zambia until the country goes for a presidential by-election” said Defence Minister Edgar Lungu.

He added that national mourning for Sata would begin Wednesday. “We will miss our beloved president and comrade,”

It is not immediately clear who will succeed the president. The issue may be decided by the Zambian cabinet which meets on Wednesday morning.

A SUCCESSFUL WOMAN WITHOUT A HUSBAND...PEOPLE WOULD NOT RESPECT HER....AKANDE

Mrs Nike Akande by all standards you want to measure it is a very successful and accomplished woman. A 2-time Minister of Industry and a respected entrepreneur, Mrs Nike Akande said in a recent interview with soft sell magazine, Encomium that if a woman is successful and does not have a husband, people don't respect her!

Mrs Akande who has been married to her businessman husband for over 40 years now says it is better to get married no matter how successful you are...

"I always tell people that it is better to be married. The younger ones are not patient. Marriage is a journey of give and take. I am not perfect, my husband too is not perfect but we have to bend over to complement each other. The younger ones are not that patient. It is better to be married. People respect you more when you are married. Unless it is impossible to live with a man because some men are impossible."

But for little, little differences, you have to tolerate each other. Companionship is nice. I will tell him my experiences and he will advise me. If a woman is successful and she does not have a husband, people would not respect her" she told

KEYAMO PETITIONS SSS,IGP OVER THREAT TO KILL HIM BY TOMPOLO

Threat to kill Mr. Festus Keyamo by Mr. Government Ekpemupolo (Alias Tompolo)

My name is Festus Keyamo. I am a Nigerian citizen and a senior member of the legal profession in Nigeria.

At exactly 10:13pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, I received a telephone call from one Mr. Government Ekpemupolo (alias Tompolo) with phone number (I removed the number). We have been acquaintances in the past, so I know his numbers. After reaffirming that he isTompolo when I picked his call, he went straight to the point by informing me that he wishes to inform me that he and his “boys” will kill me by beating me to death or shooting me anywhere they can find me. And that the hunt for me is on. His exact words in pidgin English was “we dey look for you. Anywhere we see you, whether for Lagos or Abuja or Warri, we go beat you die or we go shoot you.”

He said he would kill me because I have decided to take up the matter involving his blood brother, Mr. George Ekpemupolo, who was used to illegally substitute another candidate, Mr. Weyinmi Omadeli (48 hours to the election) in the Warri South-West L.G.A elections that were concluded last Saturday in Delta State. He said no one has ever challenged his authority in Delta State. Kindly find attached the open letter I wrote to Governor Uduaghan of Delta State yesterday which has sparked Tompolo’s determination to kill me.

I asked Tompolo FIVE TIMES whether, he was, in fact, threatening my life over an open line and he said nobody in the country can do anything about it by the time I am dead.

Co-incidentally, exactly three minutes after Tompolo dropped his line, His Excellency, Governor Udaughan called me at exactly10.16pm, and I reported to him what just transpired betweenTompolo and myself. The Governor promised to speak with him, but that cannot be reassuring enough, and I know the remedy in law against an intended murderer is not to beg him but to ignite the criminal justice system against him, no matter how comatose that system is.

I know the subject of this petition, Tompolo, is a favoured citizen of this government, and I am not. I know Tompolo is close to those in power at the moment, whereas I am an ordinary citizen. I knowTompolo has money and influence (which are factors that are widely acknowledged to aid a suspect walk away with murder in Nigeria), but I have none of these. I know Tompolo has instrument to kill human beings, and I have none.

In the circumstance, I am making this petition public so that when you refuse to attend to my complaint and outcry, the ordinary people of this country will, at least, know from where my death came and I will not join the long list of unresolved murders. My killer, should, at least be known.
Thank you for, at least, reading my petition.
Yours sincerely,

FESTUS KEYAMO, ESQ.
