INTERNET BUYERS BEWARE: THE GOODS MAY NOT EXIST...SAYS FBI

DUMITRU

NICOLAE
The FBI is offering rewards for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Romanian fugitive Nicolae Popescu, the leader of an international organized crime syndicate that ran a multi-million-dollar cyber fraud scheme, and Dumitru Daniel Bosogioiu, another Romanian fugitive charged with participating in the scheme.

The defendants are charged with participating in a long-term conspiracy to saturate Internet marketplace websites, including eBay, Cars.com, AutoTrader.com, and CycleTrader.com, with detailed advertisements for cars, motorcycles, boats, and other high-value items – generally priced in the $10,000 to $45,000 range – that did not actually exist.
Up to $1 million is being offered for information on Popescu and up to $750,000 for information on Bosogioiu.
Interpol has previously issued Red Notices to foreign law enforcement partners seeking assistance in the apprehension of these fugitives, and the FBI has also released wanted posters to facilitate their arrests.
FBI also announced the addition of Nicolae Popescu to the FBI’s Most Wanted Cyber Fugitive List.

Dumitru Daniel Bosogioiu is wanted for his alleged participation in a sophisticated Internet Fraud scheme where criminal enterprise conspirators, based in Romania and elsewhere in Europe, posted advertisements on Internet auction market sites for merchandise for sale. Such advertisements contained images and descriptions of vehicles and other items for sale, but those items did not really exist.
Conspirators posing as sellers then negotiated via e-mail with unsuspecting buyers in the United States. These "sellers" sent fraudulent invoices that appeared to be from legitimate online payment services, to the victim buyers, with instructions for payment to bank accounts held by other conspirators in the United States.
These conspirators opened United States bank accounts under false identities using fraudulent passports made in Europe by other conspirators.
When victims wired money to an account identified on the false invoices, the conspirator associated with that account would be notified and then would withdraw the proceeds and send them via wire transfer to another conspirator based on e-mailed instructions.

A federal arrest warrant was issued for Dumitru Daniel Bosogioiu on December 20, 2012, in the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York, Brooklyn, New York, after he was charged by indictment for Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud, Money Laundering, Passport Fraud, and Trafficking in Counterfeit Service Marks; Wire Fraud; and Money Laundering.

ROBBERS KILLED POLICE CHIEF DESPITE HIS (AJESARA) NATIVE BULLET PROOF @ IKERE-EKITI

A gang of armed robbers attacked the Ikere-Ekiti divisional police station , killed two police officers and three other civilians, the robbers then proceeded to rob a new generation bank in Ikere Ekiti.

According to eyewitnesses, the robbers went straight into Mr. David Onu Itumah, 62, the Divisional Crime Officer’s (DCO) office as if they had planned to make him their target. “He didn’t fall to the robbers’ bullets. They shot him but that didn’t work on him. He didn’t have his rifle when they stormed his office, he ran into a corner of his office and locked himself in so that he could have enough time to prepare for them, but the robbers were too many for him, over five of them must have broken into his office to grab him. They lifted his feet off the ground and shot him. That was when the bullet penetrated into his body and finished him”, an eyewitness said.

The anonymous eyewitness said further that the deceased had just three months to retire from the police force having put in almost 35 years into the service.

“The man was ill-fated. He just had three months to retire from the police, it was after they finished him and succeeded in sending off every other officer that they went for the police armoury in the office and emptied it”, the eyewitness said.

Another, who also craved anonymity, spoke about the female police sergeant that was killed while she was making effort to scale the fence of the police command. He said: “The female police officer that was killed was popularly known as Iya Joel by everyone in this area. We know her as a very nice woman, very friendly and good to all.”

Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Taiwo Lakanu has assured that he would hunt down and bring to justice the gunmen that attacked the police station and the bank that day.

Narrating the reports he got about the robbery incident, the CP’s spokesman, ASP Victor Babayemi, said: “I can confirm that there was a simultaneous attack on the police station and the bank office by a group of armed robbers numbering between 35 and 40, according to eyewitnesses. It was a spontaneous attack and our men responded and there was gun exchange, some of the robbers were fatally shot regrettably and unfortunately, we lost two of our men, a female sergeant and an officer whose identities we don’t want to disclose now because we haven’t formally informed their families.

“The two police personnel didn’t die immediately, they were rushed to the hospital but they died in the hospital. Also, a female corps member who was using the ATM in the bank was also shot dead. Our armoury was not attacked, it is intact.

“Although, the robbers later escaped into the bush, some of them were fatally shot and adequate personnel have been mobilized to be on their trail as we speak.”

INHERITANCE PALAVER: NWOBODO'S SON'S CORPSE VANISHES !!!

I think you will remember Chief Jim Nwobodo just lost his son a medical doctor, late Dr. Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo jnr. to cancer few weeks ago? As at time, Chief Jim Nwobodo cried out that a Nigerian doctor killed his son due to his selfish reasons? Well, Nigerian doctors’ negligence is no longer the issue; that same son was denied burial yesterday as his corpse went missing forcing the entirely family to postpone the burial! Corpse went missing? Yes, corpse went missing because of who will inherit property!.

It was gathered that Chief Jim wanted the remains of his late son to be interred within the compound of a new bungalow he built in honour of his first son who died on November 14, 2014.

However, that arraignment did no go down well with Chukwudi and Uso, Jim’s surviving two sons from Mukosolu, his first wife, argued that if their elder brother was buried outside their father’s expansive house at Amaechi Awkunanaw, they would be denied the right to inherit the family house.

Several dignitaries including the deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, Senator Gil Nnaji, Dr Nnia Nwodo and former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi, who came to commiserate with Chief Nwobodo  tried to mediate between the chief mourner and his two sons but all in vain.

The drama unfolded when Chief Nwobodo reportedly concluded plans to bury his late son outside the family compound, Chukwudi and Uso drove to the mortuary and removed the corpse of their late brother to an unknown place.
