PDP BEGINS THE CAMPAIGN OF LIES...SAYS OSHIOMHOLE

Adams Oshiomhole, Governor of Edo State says the PDP has begun a campaign of lies to deceive the people and further impoverish them since they have no real record of performance to present to Nigerians. He made this known at the commissioning of the Auchi-Jattu-Afashio-Ikabigbo road on Thursday

Governor said, “in the next couple of weeks, in fact the season is already here, politicians are already into marketing. Politicians are making deliberate efforts to remove the issues of development from political discourse. They prefer to discourse issue of ethnicity where you come from, where I come from. They prefer to buffet us with issues of religion, primordial sentiments and all kinds of ridiculous issues. But what you the electorate must insist on is that sixteen years after democracy, the learning curve is over.

“If you were doing apprentice and you have not gotten your freedom after sixteen years, your case is hopeless. If you were pursuing a university degree and after sixteen years, you could not obtain a degree you would be advised to withdraw. Sixteen years of democracy, we cannot continue to do trial and error governance.

“We must now approach governance on the basis of skills, competence and courage. We must have clarity of industrial policies that are not contradictory, policies designed to reduce and bring Nigeria back to work and give work to our young people. We must move away from the tradition where we engage in fraud in the name of Sure-P and give to individuals to share so that we might use them as thugs.

Oshiomhole argued that, “we must move away from empowering individuals to building institutions. When politicians come to ask you to vote for them like I was reading today where somebody said he was going to provide bursary to our students we must ask them when you were here for ten years, how many people did you give bursary to. Did you have primary schools in Auchi with red roofs?

“In the next few weeks, we will be commissioning a number of schools in Auchi and I will be doing so with much arrogance. This is because whatever they say is not possible, we have shown that it is possible. The previous government created an environment that would lead to a dynasty of the poor. Where the poor man gives birth to another poor, where the labourer gives birth to the labourer, because they disconnected the ladder of upward mobility.

“How can there be upward mobility if in my village there was no school. How could I have become a governor as the son of a cassava woman? The only ladder of upward mobility is that we must have quality education even in the remotest part of our community. But even in the heart of Benin City they dumped our children in classrooms without roofs. We had potholes in our classrooms and we had primary one and two competing for space”, he noted.

UNBELIEVABLE: AN 'IGWE OF UNADU' IN ENUGU RE-ENACTED SLAVERY TREATMENT IN 21ST CENTURY !!!

The story sounds like normal Nollywood traditional movie but to tell you the truth, it is a true life occurrence, been perpetrated by 21st century traditional ruler. Read below reports by lawyer and blogger, Chukwudi Iwuchukwu.......

The story sounds like a fairy tale or a Nollywood Epic Movie script but the story is real and happened in Unadu community in Enugu State.
The traditional ruler of Unadu community In Nsukka Enugu State a retired police officer, Barnabas Agbaji who allegedly forced himself to become the Igwe of the town recently elevated the act of wickedness by arresting" two of his subjects Remigus Nwa Ikeagwu and Silas Ameh, arbitrarily accused them of witchcraft, convicted the accused of being guilty of the offence of Witchcraft, hung a tire around their necks, tied fresh palm fronds all over their bodies and paraded them around the community as common criminals!!

According to a source in the community, the Traditional Ruler has been ruling the town with high handedness and impunity, leaving his subjects in fear and misery, boasting that nothing will happen to him because of his Influence in Enugu state Government.

Tension is already running high in the community and from my investigation, his people are spoiling for wall threatening Fire and brimstone if appropriate action is not taken against the ex-policeman now.

Traditional Ruler and some of his subjects are calling for his dethronement because his recent bizarre action on his subjects is the height of what they can tolerate

The question is: During his service years in the Nigerian police, did this man ever arrest and successfully prosecute anyone for practicing witchcraft? Under which law did he do this?

INDIAN DOCTOR ALLEGED OF KILLING MOTHER & INFLICTING INJURIES ON BABY IN LAGOS

A man Hunpe Semako, alleged  that an Indian Medical Doctor, Dr. M. B. Jayaram of Prema Sai Hospital, Agege, Lagos, of being responsible for the death of his wife and for inflicting cuts on his baby while she was being delivered.

In a suit filed by Barrister Kayode Adaramoye, it was alleged that the doctor’s professional misconduct led to the death of Mrs. Funkemi Hunpe, mother of the baby.
Hunpe in the suit averred that his wife consulted Dr. Jayaram on February, 17, 2014 for the purpose of ante-natal services.

He further averred that when his wife began to notice pre-delivery signs on February 24, 2014, she went to the hospital and was, “subsequently placed on admission and given injections, sequel to which she was ordered to engage in labour exercise for several hours without medical attention from available midwives and auxiliary nurses.”

Hunpe noted in the suit that he was invited into the labour room after several hours of ‘intense labour without adequate care.’ He was asked to encourage his wife, ‘to push,’ out as she appeared exhausted. In the labour room, he saw a nurse applying Aboniki (hot balm) mechanically on his wife.

“After this amateurish mechanism did not yield desired result, they cut my wife three times to bring out the baby and placed it somewhere unattended to,” said Hunpe.

He averred that that there was no doctor present throughout the delivery. A nurse later went to call Dr. Jayaram. Hunpe said that his wife bled profusely to death due to the unprofessional cuts administered on her.

The claimant alleged that Dr. Jayaram told him around 6:45pm, on February, 26, 2014, to call his pastor, as she did not think that his wife could survive.

He explained that he was later informed that his wife was dead. The hospital allegedly called a pastor to pray for the resurrection of Mrs. Hunpe. But the woman did not resurrect.
The claimant averred that due to the unprofessional cuttings of incompetent hands on his wife, the baby suffered serious deep cuts on its back and buttocks. These cuts on different sites of the baby, further attested to the mutilation done on his wife, he said.

But in a letter entitled: “Demand for N500m Damages,” signed by John Adanike, counsel to Dr. Jayaram, said his client was not guilty of negligent or professional misconduct.

Adanike denied liability to pay damages of N500m, insisting that his client carried out her duties in the best professional manner.
