SUICIDE BOMBER? NO! HE WAS A CHINESE iPHONE SMUGGLER !!!

Chinese custom officials yesterday, January 13th, arrested a man who tried to smuggle 94 iPhones from Hong Kong into China. The Chinese People Daily reported that officials decided to search the man after they got a tip-off that there was something amiss when they noticed he was walking strangely.

They first searched his bag and when they found nothing, they searched his body where they found the 94 iphones strapped to his body.

The man whose identity was hidden, was bringing in the phones from Hong Kong where it's cheaper to buy to sell in China where tax on the devices have made it very expensive for consumers.

NIGERIA IS PARAMOUNT TO ALL OF US .......OBASANJO

The APC’s presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari , his vice and APC’s team paid courtesy visit to Chief Obasanjo at his Abeokuta country’s home today in Ogun State. Obasanjo ,who said he wasn’t sure if Buhari was going to stop by or not, however decided to suspend every engagement he have outside the state, in case he decides to stop by. Obasanjo said he was delighted to welcome Buhari into his home. His words.....

“But let me in a special way welcome Muhammadu. Our paths have crossed on a number of occasions and when I was told you are going to be coming to Ogun State, I wasn’t sure whether you will come here or not. But I told my boys -I said well, whatever programme we have outside Ogun State for today, let us shelve it just in case Muhammadu and his party and his team decide to call here.

“You will remember when you decided to contest you wrote me a letter this time around. And I replied your letter. When you became the flag bearer of your party, you wrote me another letter. And I replied your second letter because I believe that you have honoured me by writing and I should of course reciprocate by also responding to your letter.

“I have always said that party or no party, what is paramount for me is Nigeria. And that will remain paramount as far as I am concerned. There is no political party in the world that is made up of saints and our own political parties in Nigeria will be no exception. All the political parties have saints and devils among them. But because what you are campaigning for is the votes of saints and devils to be able to win an election, and I wish you well.”

“I thought that I should say it today. I will just beg all of you who are contesting to add one to it; you mentioned economy, you mentioned corruption, and you mentioned security. All of you, I will beg of you, to add infrastructure. It’s very important. You may take it as part of economy but I will take infrastructure as special and give it special attention.

“For all political parties that are trying to woo us to vote for them in the coming election; let’s go away from red-herring, let’s go away from trivialities, let’s face issues and tell the people of this country what we will do to deal with these crying problems of our country. Having said that, I will also say that while a party must be microcosm of a nation – and in a nation you will have near saints, devils, rapists, armed robbers and a good party must have all this in them.

“But what matters is that when that party has to go into government, it must look for men and women of character. And we have them in all parties; we have them throughout the nooks and crannies of this country. Again, I wish you well as you go around. I thank you for this visit. I cannot end without reminding you, even though I saw some old faces, but some of us will remain firm at least at the ward level where I am very active in my party,” Chief Obasanjo said.

LONDON BASED BIZWOMAN WHO WENT TO JOIN POLITICS IN NIGERIA DIED MYSTERIOUSLY..

London based Nigerian businesswoman, Bola Amole aka BIMS’ was reportedly dead in Nigeria. According to the tribute wrote by one of her friends Tinoshow Oduwle,’’ Bola Amole was in U.K many years a one of the leading business women in food industry before she went back home to join politics in Nigeria.

It is very sad to learn of her demise. 'BIMS' is the name of her business and she was known as BIMS. Whatever you do in life, please look back and remember it ends in six feet one day. Be nice and reasonable! No matter what we do, it ends one day. Some said she was assassinated, some said she died peacefully in her sleep and some said she had a heart-attack.

You know what, unfortunately she died! She will be missed. What's the point of killing each other, what's the point of harming people and what's the point of hating, one day, you will answer to your creator. May her sweet soul rest in peace. O ma se o. 'BIMS' rest in peace dear. God sees what we human beings did not see.’’

So sad, God giveth and God taketh....

SUSPECTED ASSAILANTS RAIDED CHIEF JOHN OYEGUN'S HOME IN ABUJA

The National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Oyegun’s home in Abuja was raided early hours of today by unknown suspected assailants.

According to APC's National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed :
”The facts of the raid as available so far point to a sinister motive. For example, only Chief Oyegun’s room was ransacked in the whole house. Common sense dictates that if the invaders were robbers, they would have ransacked the whole house in search of money and other valuables which they might have believed were in the residence.

”The invaders, two burly men, removed the window burglar bars to gain access to the residence from the back, and then made straight for the bedroom of our National Chairman. Police security was in place at the residence when the incident happened,” Lai Mohammed says.

I NEVER INTENDED TO KILL MY MY NEIGHBOUR....ANTHONY OGBORU

Anthony Ogboru, a driver with Worldwide Commercial Ventures located in Matori area of Lagos, has been arrested for allegedly stabbed one of his neighbours. Jonathan Ameh, a father of three, in a fight at their residence in Gowon Estate, Okunola, Egbeda, Lagos state to death on December 22, 2014.
In this interview with Crime Guard, Ogboru said:

“I never intended to kill him. I have never killed anyone in my life. It was a mistake… “,
 He paused ...Continuing, he said:

“After my sister reported the matter to me, I went straight to Jonathan, not with the intention to fight with him. I knocked on his door twice before he came out and angrily asked what I wanted . When I asked why he barged into the bathroom while my sister was bathing without even apologising to her, he responded by asking if that was why I came knocking that late . Thereafter, he banged the door in my face, saying I should leave if I had no better issue to discuss with him .

At that point, I shouted at the top of my voice, warning him to stay off my siblings and the next thing he did was to open the door and told me that I had no right to issue him any warning. He dared me to repeat the warning and when I did, he punched me in the face and we started fighting.

After the first round of fight, I was taken to a restaurant in front of my house. While there, Jonathan came from nowhere with an iron rake, which he landed on my head. He raised the rake again with the intention to hit me the second time . At that point, I took a knife I saw in the restaurant with the aim of defending myself. In the process, it pierced into Jonathan’s chest.
I never knew it was stuck in his chest because we still continued fighting. Even when I saw blood, I thought it was from my body”

“I feel very bad about the incident that caused his death. I swear I did it in self defence. We have never been at loggerheads.

“Before the incident, my sister sold a phone to him for N3000. About a week later, he said the phone was bad and insisted that his money be refunded. I appealed to him to give me sometime to pay him. But at the end, he said I should forget about the money and the matter ended like that. So, you see, I have no reason for killing him. It was all a mistake.”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations, spokesperson, Kenneth Nwosu,  said the suspect would soon be charged to court.
