MEET CAPTAIN HANNAH WINTERBOURNE: 1ST TRANSGENDER OFFICER IN THE WORLD !!!

The first ever transgender officer in the world has emerged. Known as Captain Hannah Winterbourne, the male-turn-female, she is the first transgender officer in the world, the Army’s most highly ranked transgender soldier and the only one to become an officer. She’s now in charge of 100 soldiers.

She was born a man and spent the first few years in the Army as a man before deciding to undergo a sex-change operation while serving in Afghanistan and began her transition in 2013.

 Captain Hannah said;
“I think initially it was a bit of a shock to some people, they weren’t really expecting it because it’s not something you come across every day in the Army. However I think people soon realised that it didn’t make a difference to my job. At the end of the day I can still do all the things I could do before I transitioned.
“That’s what the Army respects because we’re all about capability and output. That’s what matters.”
Hannah said of her decision to become a woman: “It’s about finding that courage to do it. And that’s not the easiest thing in the world. “I was acting for everyone around me. There was no let up where I could stop that act.”, she said.

Hannah said that it was impossible to spend time on her own and be honest with herself while serving in Afghanistan.
She added: “That was a nudge which eventually ended up with me coming out and changing myself and my way of life.”
Determined to pursue a career in the Army, she enrolled at a residential college designed for students to enter the Forces.
The Army then sponsored her Electronic Engineering degree at Newcastle University, from where she went on to Sandhurst.
Hannah said: “The point where I realised I was a woman but my body was wrong was around the age of 23 at Sandhurst.
“After I was posted to Germany I decided to go to the doctors and told them. And that’s when my transition process began.”
Hannah has refused to reveal her previous male name, describing it as a ‘label’.
She is now a rep for other transgender servicemen and women and said: “Despite being perceived as a very masculine, old school, organisation the Army’s actually very forward thinking.”
Hannah was commissioned from Sandhurst in 2010 after being selected for officer training aged 15.
Despite the difficulties of coming out as transgender she said the Army had been “a fantastic employer”.
“I came out as a trans soldier about a year and a half ago when I was in Germany and since then I’ve become the highest ranking, openly serving trans soldier serving in the regular army.
“One of my additional duties is that I’m the transgender representative in the British Army, which sees me dealing with education, welfare and dealing with any issues that trans soldiers may have.
“The British Army is a fantastic employer for trans soldiers. We’ve had policies since 1999 and it’s all really, really clear.”
A film featuring Hannah’s life has appeared online and is due to be broadcast by Channel Four as part of a series of short films about transgender people.

BARBARIC: LOTTO AGENT ALLEGEDLY BEATEN TO DEATH OVER N500 IN LAGOS....ORDERED BY HIS BOSS

Sade Onafowopo was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for her alleged role in the death of a lotto agent, Oluwatosin Efuneye; Efuneye, 31, was allegedly beaten to death in the Ojuelegba area of Lagos by thugs who were carrying out Onafowopo’s order to torture the lotto agent.

Eyewitnesses said Onafowopo, who was Efuneye’s boss, ordered the punishment because the deceased reportedly deducted N500 from the money paid by a customer.

The incident was said to have taken place last Thursday, January 15, on Makinde Street, Ojuelegba, where Onafowopo, popularly called Shandy, lived and had her lotto shop.

The deceased’s father, Pa Efuneye, said his son  “Tosin (Efuneye) was doing the lotto business at Esan Ogboogun Street, Somolu. But he would normally go to Ojuelegba every morning to remit the previous day’s proceeds to his boss, Shandy. He stayed in this house with his younger brother. He was not married.
“What happened on last Thursday was shocking. I learnt that when he got to Shandy’s place, the woman said a customer came to complain that Tosin had deducted N500 from the N1,000 which the customer used to play the lotto. The customer then claimed he had won N240,000, and demanded his winning.
“Shandy did not wait for any explanation from Tosin. She arranged for thugs on her street to torture him. They stripped him to his underwear, and beat him up. Shandy did not report to the lotto’s head office in Lagos State. She did not report to the family or to the police.
“She and the thugs beat up Tosin until he collapsed. They rushed him to a private hospital, but he was already dead. When I learnt about the matter, I called Shandy on the phone, she refused to pick my calls.”

DSP Kenneth Nwosu, the Lagos State Police spokesperson confirmed the incident and said:
“The suspect is in our custody, and she is helping the police with information to arrest other suspected killers of the deceased.”

MAN STABBED TO DEATH OVER SACHET OF 'PARAGA' DRY GIN WORTH N30 IN LAGOS !!!

file photo: PARAGA JOINT
The Lagos State Police are currently investigating the death of a 57-year-old man allegedly stabbed to death by his friend over sachet of dry gin worth N30, in Otto community, an outskirt of Lagos.
Meanwhile, Police officers have gone on a raiding spree in the community and allegedly whisked away about 30 suspects.

The victim, identified as Mr. Abudu (aka Baba Timo), who had moved from Bariga to Otto some months ago, was cooling down with local gin at a joint with his friend (names yet unknown) when trouble began.

Vanguard gathered that the disagreement, which started as a joke at 8p.m., last Friday took a new dimension at 10 p.m., after the duo engaged in a fight, using dangerous weapons such as broken bottle and cutlass on each other. Baba Timo reportedly inflicted machete cuts on his friend’s head and hand, while his friend used a broken bottle on his (Baba Timo) neck.

Unfortunately, Baba Timo died on the spot while his friend who sustained injuries on his head and neck is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Lagos.

GENERAL OLUKOLADE ASKED NIGERIAN TO ASK HIM ANY QUESTIONS NOW.....

Major General Chris Olukolade, the Nigerian Defence Spokesperson took to twitter this evening to set the record straight. It will be recalled that some Nigerian soldiers spoke with CNN exclusively and exposed what they claim is the 'rot' in the military, i.e, they buy their own kit, they are not well equipped etc.

General Olukolade asked Nigerians to ask whatever questions they wanted to know about what the Nigerian military is doing in their battle against Boko Haram etc. ... link up with him.. @GENOlukolade or #DefenseNGspeaks

FAYOSE'S ADVERT... DESPERATION BEYOND UNDERSTANDING..SAYS BUHARI

The front page advertisement on the cover of Punch Newspaper today has got everyone talking. The advert, sponsored by Ayo Fayose, Ekiti State Governor ,urged Nigerians to vote for Goodluck Jonathan in order for history to “avoid repeating itself with State Burials”.

The questions I want Ayo Fayose to answer are what history are we talking about here? Is he talking about the burials that occurred due to the 6-year mismanagement of Jonathan administration?  Or the senseless killing by the Boko Haram? See Buhari ‘s responses to Fayose’s tweet after the cut.....
