MUNA OBIEKNWE: ABANDONED BY HIS COLLEAGUES WHEN HE NEEDED THEM MOST

Talks tracing the death of Nollywood actor, Muna Obiekwe, won’t go down just like that, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) responding to the accusations of neglect one of their own.

After Muna died January 18, from kidney ailment, it was disclosed that some of his colleagues were blasting each other for abandoning him when he was in need.

Meanwhile,Moji Oyetayo, the PRO of the Lagos State chapter of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN),.commented on how the health issues are being handled in their organization:

“So many artistes are lackadaisical about revalidating their membership and the truth of the matter is that, we can’t help anyone who is not on the plan. Anything regarding an actor’s medical bills is fully taken care of under this plan. We’ve had instances of several actors who had needed assistance and had been fully taken care of because they were under this health scheme. ‘I do know that Ibinabo was in touch with Muna, but I don’t have details of what she did for him personally.’”
Regarding Muna’s membership in the AGN, the official said she needed to clarify details with the body president in order to speak authoritatively on the issue.

It should be mentioned that burial ceremony for the late actor will hold February 3 at Umudioka in Anambra state and will be preceded by the February 1 candle night at Marsha, Roundabout, Surulere, Lagos.

CLERIC SAVED POLICE OFFICER {ASP} CAUGHT DEFILING 9-YEAR OLD GIRL @GOWON ESTATE

Pastor Darlington Ajitemsan

The General Overseer of Open Channel Bible Church, Gowon Estate, Pastor Darlington Ajitemsan, said he was shocked when he saw the ASP defile the girl about 9pm at an open field in the estate.
Ajitemsan said the girl was the daughter of another policeman.

The cleric warned parents to be wary of family friends where their female children are concerned.
He said: “It happened right here in Gowon Estate, not too far from my church. I was outside, when a commercial motorcyclist, riding through the football field, suddenly noticed a movement.

“It was the light from the motorcycle that also made me to know that two people where on the open field. The girl was under the big guy. I did not know it was a little girl. The motorcycle rider was already calling me. I quickly moved to the spot. I saw the big guy on top of the girl. She looked like an eight-year-old girl.
“He had already penetrated her because I saw his p3nis inside her. It was that sight that shocked me.”
Ajitemsan said that even as a crowd gathered, the ASP continued to lie on the girl, with his manhood still inside her.

“He was begging the crowd not to kill him, but made no attempt to stand up. An angry man in the crowd picked a plank and slammed it across the ASP’s face, shouting he should get off the girl. The crowd started asking for tyre and petrol. The ASP turned to me, begging me to implore the crowd not to kill him.

“There was something peculiar about the girl. She was just staring as though she was not there. The ASP’s wife and kids rushed to the scene. It was embarrassing. The policeman is an ASP that lives around here. He said he was sorry.”
Ajitemsan said that the ASP had a very beautiful wife and a daughter. The daughter is even touted as a Nollywood star. All his kids are grown up.”
The cleric recalled that the youth had already picked stones and sticks, but he had to calm them down.

“I begged the youth to allow him to be because they wanted to smash his head and burn him, especially since he is a policeman,” he added.

Ajitemsan explained that the most shocking thing about the matter was that the ASP was a close family friend to the girl’s parents.
He said: “The parents of that girl and the ASP’s family are very close, to the extent that you may call them family members.

“On that particular day, the ASP took the girl from her home, her parents saw him. But they trusted him. He first took her to the junction where they normally sell beer and pepper soup, popularly called ‘Oritameta,’ where he used to drink ‘ogogoro’ (local gin) with his friends. He bought sweet and biscuits for the girl. It was after the drinking that he took her to the open field and slept with her.”
The cleric said that the news of the incident travelled like a wildfire in the estate.

According to him, policemen from Gowon Estate Police Station came the following day. But no arrest was made. The matter was quietly settled.
“Parents have to be careful who their girl-child mingles with. The ASP and the girl’s parents live in the same block of flats in the estate. The man has been taking the girl out like that before,” Ajitemsan added.

The pastor urged the parents  not to entrust their children to anybody.
He said: “Whenever kids go out and come in, they should be questioned and checked. Like in the case of the girl, she was not walking properly when she stood up.
“For those that call themselves law enforcement agents, I feel they should go for psychiatric test before being accepted as policemen.”

A MAN CLAIMED TO BE A 'CUSTOMS OFFICER' ARRESTED FOR DRUG IN LAGOS

The operatives of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a man, one Aguezeala Bob Chidubem, 45, who claimed to be a customs officer while attempting to smuggle drugs into China.

When he was arrested, Chidubem claimed to be a serving customs officer at the Tin Can Island Port, Lagos. Preliminary investigation carried out by NDLEA agents revealed that he was an impersonator, as the Tin Can Command of the Nigerian Customs Service confirmed to the Agency that there was no officer with that name and service number.

He was arrested along with Obi Onyeka Emmanuel, Obidiazor Stanley, Ezeocha Henry Chidi and Alor Tochukwu Isaac.

NDLEA spokesman, Mitchell Ofoyeju Ofoyeju said: “Chidubem was found to be a fake custom officer. He claimed to be a 1993 graduate of Industrial Chemistry from University of Port Harcourt. He hails from Imo State and conspired with Odidiazor Stanley to finance the trip of Obi Onyeka Emmanuel to China with 1.175kg of heroin.”

The anti-drug Agency also prevented the exportation of 34.605kg of cannabis and 1.175kg of heroin to China.

The arrests and seizures took place at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos while other accomplices were apprehended during a follow-up operation. The drug recovered from Chidubem and the four others weighed 35.78kg.

NDLEA commander at the Lagos Airport, Hamza Umar explained how the command arrested the five suspects with 35.78kg of illegal drugs.

Umar said: “We arrested one Obi Onyeka Emmanuel with 1.175kg of heroin while attempting to board Qatar Airline flight to China. Upon interrogation, Aguezeala Bob Chidubem a fake custom officer and Obidiazor Stanley were apprehended for allegedly sponsoring Obi Onyeka. Ezeocha Henry Chidi and Alor Tochukwu Isaac were also caught with 11.430kg and 23.175kg of cannabis respectively on their way to China.”

Emmanuel, 39, a trader who sells Jeans at Mandilas, Lagos Island said he was promised 4,000 dollars to smuggle heroin to China.

Emmanuel said: “I was given 100 wraps of heroin by Stanley to swallow. I was able to swallow 68 wraps because it is my first time. They also promised to pay me 4,000 dollars but unfortunately the drug was detected by the scanning machine. I got involved in drug trafficking because I lost 10,000 dollars in my business. I was desperate to recover my lost money.”
Chidi, 33, who resides in Onitsha, was caught with 11.160kg of cannabis.
He was to board a Kenya Airways flight to China when the drug was detected. His arrest took place simultaneously with Alor Tochukwu Isaac who was to board Ethiopian Airways with 23.175kg of cannabis to China.

Alor explained: “Ezeocha Henry is my friend. We are both into cargo business because we send goods for people. One of my customers brought three bags to me to take to China. He told me that the bags contained foodstuff and gave me N22, 000.
“I blamed myself for not searching the bags although this is not my first time of collecting goods from him. What I did was based on trust but it ended this way. I took two bags and gave one to Ezeocha Henry with N12, 000.”

Meanwhile,NDLEA chairman, Ahmadu Giade said he was shocked over the arrest of the five men and the fact that they were taking the drugs to China, barely days that two Nigerians were executed in Indonesia for drug trafficking.

FRESH FACT:VANDALS KILL 2 POLICEMEN ..SHOT 2 NSDC OFFICERS & SEVERAL OTHER INJURED

File photo
It will be recalled that on Monday, gunmen stormed Owutu Police Station and opened fire. The fresh fact has emerged about the attack on Owutu Police Station, Ikorodu, Lagos State on Monday, where two policemen and motorcyclist were killed and several others injured.

A source revealed that the vandals killed two policemen, including a commercial motorbike rider. They also injured several people, raided the station’s armoury and freed detainees.

They carted away four AK47 rifles. Trouble started after members of NSCDC got information that oil thieves were operating at Abule-Tapa Village, Ikorodu. The NSCDS arrested one of the vandals. When other vandals went to intercept the officers to free their partner, they found the site empty.
Apparently angry, they vented their anger on the police station, which was along their route.

An NSCDC said: “The fight between us and the vandals started at midnight on that fateful Monday. Two of men were shot. They are now in hospital. Several of our men were injured. Two of our men are missing. We believe that they are being held hostage. We pray that they are still alive. We however killed more of the vandals. We did not get any alive. We’re already tracking the vandals. We’ll get them!”

AIT ALLEGEDLY TAKES DOWN ONLINE OPINION POLL WHERE BUHARI WAS BEATING JONATHAN HANDS DOWN....

African Independent Television (AIT) has suddenly taken off air the popular online opinion poll where General Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress party candidate, was resoundingly beating President Goodluck Jonathan hands down.

Buhari’s lead in the poll was despite the president’s shelling out of N5 million per daily showing of his sponsored documentary against Buhari that was being repeatedly shown on AIT stations across Nigeria, and online.

Earlier on Tuesday, SaharaReporters published a screenshot of the poll, which at that time showed Buhari well ahead by over 76%.

As the day wore on, the poll saw Buhari’s lead rise to 79%.  It was then swiftly taken down, AIT replacing the page with a claim that the page was “under maintenance.”

AIT did not say whether its poll page would return after its ‘maintenance’, but some users had noted earlier that the TV station was allowing multiple voting for President Jonathan.

That was subsequently corrected; a fact that was also noted by users, following which Buhari again regained the lead.  AIT then suddenly went into ‘maintenance’.

THE LIKE OF ASARI DOKUBO'S WHO ARE CLAMOURING FOR WAR MUST READ THIS'OMAR BANGURA' ADVISE....

For the like of Asari Dokubo’s, OMAR BANGURA an African son of the soil
from Sierra Leone has this to tell you all.......
"I don't think you guys know what you are playing with. You can call each other names and laugh about it now but when you end up inciting hate here as I read through your posts here and a real civil war start in your country you will regret what you are doing now.

Your religious and political leaders are trying to divide you between religious lines and you are helping them do that rather than standing up and say we are all Nigerians never mind our tribe, region or religion. That's the only stand that will save your blessed nation.

The foreign powers pushing the government to take certain decisions will abandon you when you start killing each other and reject you from running to their countries so be careful. Our 11 years war in Sierra Leone was not even based on religious or tribal difference and see what we did to our country.

The worst conflicts are those based on tribal and religious differences. See Central Africa, Bosnia. My heart bleeds when I read what you guys are saying because I know what this will lead to. You will be the losers all of you whether Christian, Muslim, Ibo, Yoruba or Hausa. Stand as one and save your nation together because you have only one Nigeria that has the potential to lead Africa."

PLEASE HELP SAVE NIGERIA AND SHARE THIS TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE.
