BREAKING NEWS: ARMY MAJOR DETAINED FOR REFUSING TO COOPERATE WITH TONY ANINEH TO RIG ELECTIONS..

An army officer, Major MS Adamu is presently under house arrest in Headquarters 4 Brigade officers’ Mess Benin for refusing to cooperate with Tony Anineh, PDP Board of Trustees Chairman to rig an elections’

According to source, the soldier is allegedly detained by Brig Gen Olajide Laleye, the former director of public relations Nigerian Army over his refusal to heed to illegal order from superior officer. Detail soon.

Campaign photos of Muheez Bello, who died on Saturday 28th, was an APC candidate contesting for the position of a Local Government Chairman in Epe, Lagos.  Muheez died on his way back home shortly after casting his vote and had to board a ferry which will take him and his friends’ home, the boat capsized and Muheez lost his life.  May his soul rest in peace .......See more photos of him below..




DINO MILAYE WINS KOGI WEST SENATORIAL DISTRICT ...SAYS IT IS A CALL TO DUTY & SERVICE

Dino Melaye, of the All Progressives Congress candidate, was on Monday declared the winner of the Kogi West Senatorial District election held on March 28th.

Melaye defeated the seating senator of the district, Smart Adeyemi, of the Peoples Democratic Party. Melaye polled 41,120 of the total 118, 987 votes cast, while his closest opponent, Adeyemi, polled 38, 148 votes and Aro of Accord had 26,198 votes.

Returning Officer of the Senatorial District, Mr. Adadi Ameh, in the early hours of Monday declared Melaye the winner at the Independent National Electoral Commision’s office in Lokoja Local Government area.
Melaye, who was at the venue of the declaration, told our correspondent that the victory was for the people.

“It is a call to duty and service and I will do my best not to disappoint the people who entrusted their votes in me. The people of Kogi West have made their choice and I promise that they will be given the best of Senatorial representation.”

“I believe I won because I was closer to the grassroots. They had more money than sense and spent it but we spent our brain because we have no money and the people have made their choice,” Melaye said.

POLITICS: STELLA ODUAH WINS ANAMBRA NORTH SENATORIAL SEAT

Former disgraced Aviation Minister and a Senatorial candidate of the PDP in Anambra State, Princess Stella Oduah has won the Anambra North Senatorial seat.
She defeated her major opponent, Chief Dubem Obaze of APGA.
PDP – 143,478; APGA- 70,906
Winner – Princess Stella Oduah .Results declared by Dr Celestine Okaro, INEC returning officer.

It would be recalled that Mrs Oduah was sent packing over corruption-related offences. She was indicted by both the House of Representatives and a presidential committee for compelling an agency under her supervision to buy her two exotic armoured cars in violation of Nigeria’s public procurement laws.

POLICE RECOVER N9 MILLION FROM ROBBERS THAT RAIDED OWO BANKS

The Police in Ondo State have recovered the sum of N9 Million from 6 out of 50 robbers that raided four commercial banks in Owo, Ondo State last week (story read here).

The robbers were said to have stormed the State in different vehicles and headed straight to the nearest Police Station where they shot two police women dead and four others including an ASP.                  

 It was reported that 6 of them were killed at the robbery scene by the police re-enforcement team,while the rest fled.
