CRIME: A NIGERIAN WOMAN HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH KILLING HER HUSBAND IN USA

Temitope Adebamiro, 35,a Nigerian woman has been charged with killing her husband, who she claimed abused and cheated on her with several women including her sister and their nanny's daughter, according to court records.

The husband, 37-year-old Adeyinka Adebamiro, was found stabbed in a first-floor spare bedroom of the couple's home in the 1300 block of Healy Court early Thursday, according to court documents obtained by The News Journal.

New Castle County police were called to the home at about 12:40 a.m. for an unknown problem. Arriving officers found Adeyinka Adebamiro unconscious with a stab wound to the upper body. New Castle County paramedics pronounced him dead at 1:37 a.m., said Officer Tracey Duffy, a county police spokeswoman.

According to police and documents, the two had been married for more than 10 years, during which time she told investigators that he'd physically abused her, even while pregnant with their two children.

She also told investigators her husband had been cheating on her with various women, including her own sister and the nanny's daughter, papers said. The papers, however, did not say how old the nanny's daughter was. She added that her husband had sent her to Nigeria for several months, papers said. After returning in December, she had to stay in a hotel near the Philadelphia airport for four days because her husband refused to let her into their Red Lion home.

Fastforward, as the investigation drew to the night before the killing, police learned the couple had been talking and watching television on the couch about 9 p.m. Wednesday. Temitope and her husband began arguing after he discovered the photos she'd taken on her cellphone and he began erasing them, according to court papers.

As he yelled at her, Temitope told police there was a power outage at which time she went to the kitchen until power returned, according to documents.

Investigators checked with Delmarva Power, which indicated no such power outage occurred at that time, police said.

Temitope then told police that when the power returned, she found her husband in the first-floor bedroom lying in the bed. As she got closer to him, she saw a knife on the ground which she picked up and took to the kitchen, according to documents.

As she put it away, she noticed blood on the tip and that's when she realized that he was stabbed, the papers said.

While not admitting to the killing, the court papers claim Temitope changed her story several times about what happened in the bedroom, including to say that she entered first and her husband followed her in with the knife but that he later dropped it.

Temitope suggested that her husband stabbed himself, according to the papers. The autopsy, according to the papers, said the homicide was a single stab wound just below the victim's neck, about 2 inches off the center line. The stab was 4 inches deep and severed the victim's carotid artery and jugular vein.

When police told Temitope that this was not a suicide, the woman "began nodding her head in agreement," according to court documents.

Temitope was charged with first-degree murder and other charges. She was arraigned and committed to the Baylor Women's Correctional Institution where she is being held without bail.

INEC RESIDENT COMMISSIONER RAISES ALARM OVER DEATH THREATS FOLLOWING INCONCLUSIVE GOVERNOSHIP ELECTION

Professor Selina Oko, the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Abia state, has raised an alarm over death threats she has received following the inconclusive governorship election conducted in the state on April 11th.  Professor Oko said :
"Yes, I have been getting calls threatening my life. I have been getting text messages about how they will shoot me through the window of my car. Yes, I have told the security agencies that my life is being threatened" she said. Continue...

Responding to allegations, the state PDP governorship candidate Dr Okezie Ikpeazu said that she is an aunt to the APGA candidate, Alex Otti and is working in favor of him to win, Professor Oko said that is not true. She slammed the PDP Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh for carrying this unverified claims.

"He is a liar. He does not know me. I did not know Otti until I came to Abia. I think Otti is from Abia. I am from Afikpo in Ebonyi State. He should go to Afikpo and trace my linage and see whether there is any link at all between me and Otti. I have never known Otti until this time. They are cooking up stories just to whip up sentiments. Besides if I am Otti’s aunt why should I then collect N300 million from him? One of such people whose allegation I read in black and white is the so-called National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Olisa Metuh. He said I am related to Otti. How can somebody at his level get information and not bother to verify it? All he did was to rush to the media and put it in black and white. There is something wrong with him. He is not fit to be a leader" she said.

I DID MY VERY BEST....RETIRED IGP ABBA

We started at a time that was very difficult in Nigerian history, a time when politics had picked up. We were getting ready for the elections and our whole attention, I would say, was on the elections, even though we kept on doing our best in managing our day to day activities.

“My happiness is that we have gone through it; the elections are almost over. I want to seize this opportunity to thank everyone, all stakeholders with regards to the 2015 elections for making it not only a reality, but also making it credible.

“I want to say that I want to move on with my life believing that life has steps and it is a journey."

SUSPECTED BRAIN TUMOUR TURNED-OUT TO BE 'EVIL TWIN SISTER' !!!

Yamini Karanam, 26, was having brain surgery for a suspected tumour turned-out to be her "evil twin sister"

An embryonic twin has been find inside a woman's brain while she was having surgery for a suspected tumour. Doctors discovered the twin, known medically as a 'teratoma', complete with bone, hair and teeth, inside the brain of Yamini Karanam.

Yamini sought medical help last September when she began to struggle with conversations and reading.

If a couple of people were talking in the room, I wouldn't understand what was happening," Yamini told NBC Los Angeles. "I just didn't imagine any of this"

That was when surgeons made the amazing discovery and removed the teratoma – Yamimi's twin that never developed.

Yamini, from Indiana, joked that the teratoma was was her "evil twin sister who's been torturing me for the past 26 years".

Dr Hrayr Shahinian, at the Skullbase Institute in Los Angeles, said it was only the second teratoma he had come across out of up to 8,000 brain tumours he has removed.
