TWO (WOMEN) ALLEGED NOTORIOUS ROBBERSS ARRESTED IN UYO
Two
women, Grace Ekpo and Mfon Daniel from Itiam Ikot Ebia, Uyo LGA, alleged to be notorious robbers have confessed
to stealing clothes from other boutiques on the street and terrorizing
pedestrians and residents of Uyo. They were almost lynched if not for the
timely intervention of the police .The suspects were arrested last Thursday
after they stole from a boutique and were making their escape, when owner of
the store raised the alarm and passersby pursued the women and caught them.
"The two girls enter my shop on a pretence to buy from me but after picking all the costly female hand bags, shoes, men gens, hand watches and cloths worth forty-five thousand naira; instead of them to pay for what they have bought, they sent me to go and buy them drinks. So, I went to buy drinks for them at the nearby shop. As I returned, I met them making calls, and immediately their operational Keke man who was on a standby to pick them came and they went inside the Keke with all my cloths without paying. So, I tell them to give me my cloths, they refused. So, I started shouting, help! Thief! Thief! But the Keke man had already moved. As God would like it, luck ran out on them, the people around and people using car pursued them and caught them"

Confessing
to the crime, the women allegedly said
"When we entered
people shop, anything you sell we will pack the most costly ones; after which
we will asked you to get us water or send you on an errand, that will make us
run away with the goods without paying for it. We rob women in Keke, we pick
recharge card bags and anything that would fetch us quick money.’ The women are currently at the station at Barracks
Road Division, Akwa Ibom State.

native of KwaMafunze in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa , has that she had to
remain a virgin because she want to participate in a yearly dance/cultural

Ngipheni added that she was
happy that she’s safe from sexually transmitted diseases. She stresses that she
is not saying young women should stay away from sex and marriage. "If you
have sex do it responsibly. Do it after marriage. Once you are married, ask
your partner to go for an HIV test before you engage in sex. This will reduce
the number of people with HIV and teenage pregnancy."
Ngipheni’s guardian, Zithobile Mbhele, said she has been working with her for more than 30 years. "She is a good influence on young women in the area. We are proud of her. She has never missed umkhosi womhlanga"” said Zithobile.

across the country should henceforth sell House Hold Kerosene (HHK)
at N50/litre in furtherance of his decision to identify with President
Muhammadu Buhari's bid to ameliorate the hardships faced by millions of
Nigerians daily. He calls it ‘Buhari Kerosene’
The
decision to sell House Hold Kerosene (HHK) at N50/litre, being over 50 per cent
reduction of its current pump price, the billionaire oil magnate has
effortlessly made a grand entrance into the pantheon of Nigeria's 21st century
crusaders.
With
his decision to sell HHK at N50/litre at all his fuel stations nationwide,
Otedola will no doubt reduce the hardships foisted upon millions of Nigerian
families by the prohibitive pricing of the cooking fuel.
The Forte Oil boss said the activities
of shady characters in the oil sector whom he blamed for selling House Hold
Kerosene (HHK) as Jet A1 fuel, also called Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK), to
airline operators.
In
a statement signed by him, Otedola revealed: "This illicit act has been
identified as the major factor contributing to the rising cost of kerosene in
the country and may also be the cause of some of the air mishaps we have
encountered in the country in recent times."
The
Forte Oil boss stated that while HHK is sold by the Pipelines and Products
Marketing Company (PPMC), an arm of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation
(NNPC) at the regulated price of N40.90k with the objective of selling to the
average Nigerian at the pump price of N50 per litre, major HHK dealers sell the
product to poor Nigerians at the pump price of N125 per litre.
OBASANJO PICKED JONATHAN AS YAR'ADUA RUNNING MATE TO RUBBISH ME....ALAMIYESEIGHA
Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, Bayelsa state former governor, has said that
the former President, Olusegun Obasanjo picked Goodluck Jonathan as the running
mate of late President YarAdua in the 2007 election because he, Obasanjo,
wanted to stop Atiku Abubakar from running
for president. Alamiyeseigha reportedly said this while speaking to journalist
at his home in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital.
"For Goodluck, I knew that Jonathan was going to be
vice president of Nigeria as far back as August 25, 2005. Former
President, Olusegun Obasanjo, told me that since Atiku and I wanted to
take his job, that it would be over his dead body; and that unless he died,
Atiku cannot be president of Nigeria. Obasanjo said since Atiku had picked me
as his running mate, he would make sure that he dealt with and disgraced us. He
said he was going to use my deputy to rubbish me before everybody. So, I knew.”

TWO NIGERIAN MEN CHARGED WITH MURDER OF 17-YEAR OLD TEENAGER IN LONDON
Two Nigerian men, Sodiq Adebayo, 22, Akeem Gbadamosi, 21 and
Eugene Ocran, 19, have been charged with the murder of 17-year-old Marcel
Addai. Marcel was stabbed in the chest on September 4 after being chased
through St John's Estate in Pitfield Street, Hoxton, London on Sept. 4. He was
pronounced dead at the scene.
A 40-year-old woman, who did not want to be named, said she
saw the victim being chased before falling to the ground as she watched from
her nearby flat.
"There was a big chase," she said. They ran
through the estate, some on bikes, some on foot. By the end of it when he died
there were about 15people around him. I just heard the screams, the cries - a
primal scream of death. I could really hear it. I don't know if it was one of
his friends who realized that he was dead but it was the most echoing, crying noise"
The Metropolitan Police indicates that Akeem Gbadamosi and Eugene Ocran were charged on Wednesday, September 9 and appeared in custody at Hendon Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 10 September, while Sodiq Adebayo appeared in custody at Hendon Magistrates' Court on Saturday 12 September.
