FG REACTS AS NIGERIAN BUSINESSMAN BEATEN TO DEATH IN INDIA

A Nigerian  businessman, Sunny Mike, who was  accused of theft by an Indian lady was allegdly beat to deth by passers-by .

It was gathered that by the time police arrived at the scene, he had died. His body was immediately moved to the morgue and friends and family members took to social media to demand justice.
Reacting to Sunny Mike's death, NIDCOM shared a video of his brutal beating and wrote: "Our attention has been drawn to above incident of a Nigerian brutally beaten up in Delhi, India.

 The Nigerian mission in India is aware and are currently investigating the circumstances. We call on Nigeria Community in India to be calm as the Mission is aware."

OKUNEYE IDRIS AKA BOBRISKY ARRESTD OVER N30 MILLION FAILED DEAL

Okuneye Idris,aka Bobrisky,   was arrested in the early hours of yesterday by operatives of the Inspector General Police (IG) Monitoring Unit from Abuja over a N30 million deal between himself and a female client.

 

Although the details of the arrest are still sketchy, police sources say the popular crossdresser was picked up while driving in Lekki.
 

Confirming his arrest, the spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, DCP Frank Mba said a woman petitioned the police accusing Bobrisky of N30 million fraud. Mba says Borbisky has been granted administrative bail.

    “Yes, Bobrisky was arrested in the early hours of today following a petition by a Nigerian woman that the cross dresser collected N30m from her for sales but did not keep to the end of the deal. Bobrisky was granted bail but the case is still an active one. It is a case under investigation,” he told The Nation

NASARAWA CAN CHAIRMAN KIDNAPPED

The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN ) in Nasarawa state, Bishop Joseph Masi has been kidnapped.

 

Confirming this to newsmen, Peace Masin, son of the clergyman, said the abudctors stormed their home at about 11pm on Tuesday, May 27

    “They beat the house help and ordered her to call those who were inside. One of the ladies in the house opened the door and they gained access to the house where they took Bishop Masin away. They were accompanied by seven armed men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.” Masin said

 

1. Confirming the incident to newsmen, the state Commissioner for Police, Dogo Shammah, said the police is currently on the trail of the kidnappers to ensure the safe rescue of the clergyman.

Even at the height of the heated politics between the late Chief LamidiAdedibu and former Governor Rashidi Ladoja in Oyo State, I didn’t kill anyone. The only thing I did was to protect Ladoja and shield him from harm whenever he was to be attacked. As hot as the venue of the Akure, Ondo State primary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was in 2006, I ensured the safety of the former governor. People made moves to buy me over in order to harm Ladoja but I refused. I am a loyal person; I do not betray anyone I am with. Go and ask about me. And let me tell you that it was the Adedibu-Ladoja face-off that made people to shout my name as if they know me. I am a man of peace."

He went further to say that ;"it will be unfair for anyone to judge me based on a story they do not know the full details"

 "It was when the crisis occurred and I saw that Modakeke was about to be oppressed that I took up the task. I decided then that if God could give me success in fighting against the oppression of Modakeke, there was nowhere someone would be cheated around me and I won’t rise in the person’s defence. Sunday went down to memory lane how he came about his nick name 'Sunday Igboho"; said that" people in Yoruba Land tend to give other inhabitants the “names” due to the place they live in. His father was called “Baba Igboho” because he comes from Igboho. As a result, Sunday got the name “Sunday Omo Baba Igboho”. After Sunday’s father moved from Modakeke because of the war, people started calling him Sunday “Igboho”. This name stayed with him even after moving to Ibadan."
Sunday’s career started from being a mechanic and a motorcycle repairer. But God had other plans for him. He guided Sunday into business and helped him meet the right people of great importance to do it well.

He met Governor Lam Adesina when there was petrol scarcity, people had to wait in long queues from dawn to refuel their cars. Sunday was the only person, who has enough courage to resist the soldiers and Adesina’s convoy, who wanted to break the line. Soon, he was called to Lam Adesina to tell the reason for his actions. The main idea of his explanation was that all people were born equal.

50 TRAFFICKED NIGERIAN LADIES AND OTHERS STRANDED IN LEBANON ARRIVES IN NIGERIA

The Federal Government has said 69 stranded persons including 50 trafficked Nigerian ladies arrived in the country from Lebanon on Sunday.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, disclosed this via his Twitter handle while appreciating the Lebanese Government and the Lebanese community in Nigeria for their support in the evacuation process.

“With the financial and logistic support of the Lebanese Government and Lebanese community in Nigeria, 50 trafficked Nigerian girls and 19 stranded Nigerians were successfully evacuated from Lebanon and arrived in Nigeria today (Sunday).

“Profound gratitude to Ambassador Houssam Diad, Lebanese Ambassador in Nigeria and Ambassador Goni Zannabura, Nigerian Ambassador in Lebanon,” he wrote
