APO KILLING: THIS IS THE FACE OF BUILDING OWNER

The people in power are so clever, the methodology used by them is ‘’first they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you.’
The owner of the unfinished mansion in Apo neighbourhood, Abuja , where Nigeria security agents committed judicial killing did belong to an Army general as claimed, but  to a woman named Mrs.Adunni Oluwole Salisu,  believed to be the sister of the former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Documents from the Abuja Geographical Information Systems (AGIS) shows that the property, located at No. 8 Bamanga Tukur Street, Gudu District, near the Gudu cemetery, belongs to Mrs.Salisu. Ownership details of property OG247326, point unmistakably to Mrs. Salisu’s land rights.

WHO IS AFRAID OF AMECHI? POLICE OR MR PRESIDENT

The police officers ‘’work in partnership with the communities they serve to maintain law and order, protect members of the public and their property, prevent crime, reduce the fear of crime and improve the quality of life for all citizens. They use a wide range of technology to protect individuals, identify the perpetrators of crime and ensure successful prosecutions against those who break the law.’’
However, the police officers job are the opposite of the above; they are the ones that breach the laws of the land, they are above the laws, they commit crime and covers it up, they are the one used by the government to cause pain to the citizenry.

An adage says that ‘’an idle mind is a devil workshop’’ .How on earth would an Armed Policemen stormed a place where the newly-employed teachers who gathered (at a Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers State), to receive their deployment letters from the state government, and chased them away on a flimsy excused that ‘’ the police thought the teachers will protest against President Jonathan’’.

The teachers, numbering 13,000, were invited to the stadium by the state government to receive their letters of postings and to be addressed by the state Commissioner for Education, Alice Lawrence-Nemi.

Some of the teachers, who got to the stadium as early as 7.30am, were chased out by the police; others who got their late and tried to gain entrance into the stadium were stopped from entering the arena.

These innocent teachers were manhandled all because of lack of intelligence by the police who did not even try to find out the real reasons why the teachers were at the stadium
The police spokesman, Ahmad Mohammad, said:“We got intelligence report that about 18,000 youths were being mobilized to protest against a very important personality in the country. You are aware that the ban on public procession in the state by the police is still in force."Can you hear that?
Nigerian police are just a comedian, with these statements; it shows that they don’t even know the scope of their job. Can 18,000 un-employed or employed youth remove Goodluck Jonathan from power in Abuja? The policemen, according to sources, had thought that the newly recruited teachers were in the stadium for a demonstration against President Jonathan, hence their decision to pounce on the teachers.

One of the frustrated new employee commented that  “My colleagues and I took the exam and we were successful. Now that the Ministry of Education invited us to come and collect our letters of posting, see what the police have done to frustrate us.”

Rivers State Commissioner of Information and Communications, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari, described the action of the police as “impunity from retrogressive forces.”

She said, “Virtually, this is the impunity we have been talking about in Rivers State. It is clear to Rivers people that this is the action of retrogressive forces who are totally against development because it is the first time any government, whether state or federal, is employing 13,000 teachers at once.''

“These are people who have been unemployed. Nigeria is crying about unemployment, education system is in a mess and a government employs 13,000 teachers, trains them and wants to feed them into the system, and somebody chooses to treat this with levity and to tear gas the teachers and give a very stupid excuse, that the teachers were there to protest against President Jonathan.”

NIGERIA @ 53: NIGERIAN ARE REALLY SUFFRING

When i blogged sometimes ago that ‘Nigeria a country at a cross road’, some of my friends and followers perceived me as unpatriotic. To them i never appreciate or see anything good in the present  political leaders. And they concluded that it is because am not staying in Nigeria i should shut my mouth up.

How can i shut my mouth up?  In a situation where our current leaders were self-centred by putting the interests of their family and community first in their activities, the leaders who sent their children to best schools abroad while all the schools in the country were under-funded!!! The leaders who care less about national interest, how can i respect such people?

However, i am so happy when i heard that the Senators of the federal Republic of Nigeria on Thursday, unanimously submitted that ‘’the nation’s leaders, apart from those who fought for its independence, 53 years ago, had failed to provide the required leadership that could make the country socio-economically independent.’’

They also admitted that ‘’the nation’s leadership since the return to full democratic rule, 14 years ago, had taken no serious step to tackle corruption,  unemployment, rot in the education sector, decayed infrastructure and nepotism’’

What else do i want to add to these above submission? In his own words,
The Chairman,  Senate Committee on Rules and Business,  Senator Ita Enang,  noted that ‘’the crisis in the nation’s educational sector and the reduction of Nigeria to a mere raw material provider for manufacturing firms   in other countries,  was not good enough for a truly independent nation.’’

He said, “A truly independent nation is measured by its quality of education and economic sustainability.  A situation whereby our universities are shut for months and manufacturing companies and relocating daily to  neighboring countries is not good enough for an independent nation

“How can we claim to be an independent nation when all we do is just to produce raw materials for processing firms outside the country and nothing serious is being done to   address the high rate of unemployment “

Senator Barnabas Gemade on his own contribution urged the nation leadership to improve on the social infrastructure, the power supply and develop its agricultural potential as a strategy to tackle unemployment.

Senator Kabiru Gaya, said, “Nigeria always takes one step forward and several ones backward whenever there is a change in government.”

He also that ‘’a deliberate attempt to improve the agricultural sector and a committed effort to fight corruption was required to tackle the social and economic challenges facing the country’’.

Senator Smart Adeyemi, hit the nail on the head when he said that ‘’the problems confronting the nation was selfishness,  greed and absence of nationalistic spirit in the nature  and attitude of the nation’s leaders.’’.

Senators Ayoade Adeseun, Ganiyu Solomon, and Akin Odunsi, who in their submissions, believed that Nigerian leaders had failed the citizens.

The Chairman Senate Committee on Information, Media and Public Affairs,  Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe,  noted that ‘’since there could be no democracy without democrats, Nigerian leaders  should encourage shades of opinion because those with contrary opinions also love the country.’’

Senate President David Mark in his own words said, “Nigerians have every reason to be anxious and to be impatient. We are endowed with abundant human and natural resources but our people are still suffering. We have to congratulate them for their patience.”

PEOPLE DEMOCRATIC PARTY : ANOTHER SHOW OF SHAME IN THE UPPER HOUSE

People Democratic Party (PDP) ugly show of shame reared its head, again, at the Senate, on Wednesday, as the splinter faction led by Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje clashed with the Bamanga Tukur-led PDP.
Senator Danjuma Goje  who fired the salvo when he introduced himself as a member of the new and authentic PDP, while eulogising the late former governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Agagu,.
But Senator Smart Adeyemi, coming under Order 53 of the Senate Standing Rule, challenged Goje, noting that it was offensive for him, having served as governor and now a lawmaker on the PDP platform, to support a faction in the party.
Adeyemi, therefore, urged Goje not only to withdraw his statement, but to also tender an unreserved apology to PDP members for using offensive language against the party.
“It was wrong for Senator Goje, a PDP member and who has not defected to insinuate that PDP has two factions.
“As far as I know, there is no faction in PDP and to lay claim to two PDP is unconstitutional. I demand that Goje withdraws that statement and apologise to this chamber for using offensive language against the party,” Adeyemi had said.
Senator Goje, however, stood his ground, saying “as long as I am concerned, I belong to the New PDP chaired by Abubakar Baraje. I was a member of PDP long before Adeyemi. In fact, I am more PDP than him.”
Sensing rising tempers and an imminent danger on the floor of the Senate, following the arguments, the Senate President ,David Mark quickly called for calm on the floor to enable the chamber concentrate on its duties, saying “I am satisfied that Goje said he is still in PDP. The issue of chairmanship is not for us to decide.”
It was gathered that peace was restored after the intervention and the Senate later observed a minute silence in honour of Agagu, whose death occurred on September 13 at the age of 65.
“He  was a complete gentleman in every sense of it. Even when he lost election, he took it in good faith and was ready to work for the good of the state, because his concern was the people and not political party.
“His death was a loss to Nigerians generally and Ondo State in particular. People would be remembered for the way they carry themselves while in office. His family should take solace in the fact that he led a good life,” Mark said
Meanwhile, why should  the problems of an internal feud withing a political party be the subject of debate in the houses of assembly? The purpose of electing them in the first instance is to legislate good laws for Nigerian, to represent their constituencies properly, and to bring dividends’ of democracy back to their people.
It is high time that our lawmakers must wake up to their responsibility.

SCIENTIFIC BREAKTHROUGH: NOSE GROWN IN THE HEAD

21st Century scientific breakthrough is what that will transformed a man named as Xiaolian. He had the treatment to create a replacement for his original nose which was infected and deformed. The procedure which has had a new nose grown on his forehead.was carried out at a hospital in Fuzhou, Fujian province.
The 22-year-old damaged his nose in a traffic accident in August 2012 but failed to seek treatment.
As a result, an infection corroded the cartilage leaving the surgeons unable to repair it. They were left with no choice but to grow him a new nose and then to transplant it in place of his damaged one.
The nose was created by placing a skin tissue expander onto Xiaolian’s forehead and was supported by cartilage taken from the man’s ribs.
Surgeons said that the nose has developed well and that the transplant surgery will be carried out soon.

CHINESE GENERAL'S SON BAGGED 10 YEARS BEHIND BAR FOR GANG RAPE IN CHINA

The 17-year-old son of a prominent Chinese general and military singer has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for gang-rape, bringing to an end a six-month affair that provoked outrage cry about entitlement among the country's wealthy elite.

The Haidian district people's court in Beijing sentenced Li Tianyi and four other juveniles for getting a woman drunk, beating her, and gang-raping her in a Beijing hotel in February. Three others received sentences of three to four years. The only legal adult in the group, a man with the surname Wang, was sentenced to 12 years behind bars.
"The behaviour of the five defendants counts as gang-rape. It has caused harm to the victim's mind and body, as well as harm to society, was of a vile nature, and should be punished accordingly," said the verdict.
Li's family argued that the victim was a prostitute and that the sex was consensual. Li received a harsher sentence than his peers because he refused to repent for the crime or compensate the victim, state media reported. The other defendants have each given her 150,000 yuan (£15,244). Li's defence lawyer, Lan He, told state media he would appeal.
Li's parents are both famous singers – his father is the dean of the music department at the People's Liberation Army's Academy of Arts and holds the rank of general; his mother, Meng Ge, is also a renowned military singer.
Lan Rongjie, a law professor at Zhejiang University, said 10 years was the harshest sentence an adolescent can receive for gang-rape. "If this was not Li Tianyi, and his case had not drawn the attention of so many people, I think the sentence would be lighter," he said. "The court's image is at stake – they want to display to the world that this is still a just system."
The case was followed on Sina Weibo on Thursday afternoon. While many users applauded the harsh verdict, some expressed doubt that Li would serve his full sentence. "They say it's 10 years, but who knows how long he'll actually be locked up for," wrote one user.
Another user wrote: "I hope with all my heart that this case is the beginning of true justice (in China courts), and strikes against those real tigers, the products of entitlement."
Li has been in the public spotlight since he was young, when he danced on television specials alongside his parents.
It was learnt that Li  was  arrested in 2011 after driving a BMW without a licence, crashing into another car and attacking a couple that tried to keep him from fleeing the scene. And he spent a year in juvenile detention and his father apologized publicly for the incident.

NIGERIAN WOMEN ARE NOW GOING NAKED IN THE PUBLIC IN THE NAME OF FASHION...

Nigeria is a land of wonders....it is a country that  is moving at a speed of light. Gayism, lesbianism, Kidnapping, stealing, corruption, and the 21st century madness,’ terrorist’ is also in the increase.
However, what really take me by surprise is the dressing code that are now been imbibed by our women. Majority of our ladies, married women included are now seen going naked on the streets in the name of been in vogue, modernization and fashion!!!

The question, that i will love to have an answer for is that: Is our women are now going CRAZY in the name of fashion?
