NIGERIA @53 AN IMBECILE SON THAT IS STILL CRAWLING.

The journey of a country called Nigeria started in the amalgamation of the Northern and Southern Protectorates in 1914, since then the stories are just same Ten and Ten pence. The journey has been a journey of struggle.

Lord Luguard who fused the Southern and Northern protectorate in 1914, did it for administrative convenience. A way to milk the economy of Nigeria dry, to keep the country perpetually as a labour and raw materials produced camp. That is Nigeria to British government then is just a trade post.

In the middle of 50s, nationalists such as Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Sir Ahmadu Bello and Nnamdi Azikiwe , Oba  Samuel Akinsanya, Chief Anthony Enahoro, and host of others became some of the most vocal. Eventually, on October 1, 1960 the British granted Nigeria political independence.
However, immediately after the independent, the military began its long and unwelcome foray into politics. The rest is now history.

Most Nigerians look forward to a more prosperous nation, it is so sad that the children of cloth seller are now going naked on the street. Nigeria is a country where nothing works. The roads are bad, the health care is not there anymore, the educational sector has been destroy, agricultural sector is no longer viable, security of the citizens our now in the hand of God. Majority of Nigerian now cannot afford to eat 3 time a day any longer. People are now suffering in the midst of abundant of wealth.

The societies are now corrupt, from the Presidency, Judiciary, Legislators, Police, to all the facet of Nigerian public and private sectors. We now lacks morals, the religious leaders are now worshiping money, truth are no longer preach on the pulpits again.

The frustrations facing by Nigerian can be caption in the words of the members of the Senate of recent when they hit the nail on the head. Below are parts of their comments:

The Chairman,  Senate Committee on Rules and Business,  Senator Ita Enang,  noted that ‘’the crisis in the nation’s educational sector and the reduction of Nigeria to a mere raw material provider for manufacturing firms   in other countries,  was not good enough for a truly independent nation.’’

He said, “A truly independent nation is measured by its quality of education and economic sustainability.  A situation whereby our universities are shut for months and manufacturing companies and relocating daily to neighboring countries is not good enough for an independent nation''

“How can we claim to be an independent nation when all we do is just to produce raw materials for processing firms outside the country and nothing serious is being done to   address the high rate of unemployment “

Senator Barnabas Gemade on his own contribution urged the nation leadership to improve on the social infrastructure, the power supply and develop its agricultural potential as a strategy to tackle unemployment.

Senator Kabiru Gaya, said, “Nigeria always takes one step forward and several ones backward whenever there is a change in government.”

He also that ‘’a deliberate attempt to improve the agricultural sector and a committed effort to fight corruption was required to tackle the social and economic challenges facing the country’’.

Senator Smart Adeyemi, hit the nail on the head when he said that ‘’the problems confronting the nation was selfishness,  greed and absence of nationalistic spirit in the nature  and attitude of the nation’s leaders.’’.

Senators Ayoade Adeseun, Ganiyu Solomon, and Akin Odunsi, who in their submissions, believed that Nigerian leaders had failed the citizens.

The Chairman Senate Committee on Information, Media and Public Affairs,  Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe,  noted that ‘’since there could be no democracy without democrats, Nigerian leaders  should encourage shades of opinion because those with contrary opinions also love the country.’’

Senate President David Mark in his own words said, “Nigerians have every reason to be anxious and to be impatient. We are endowed with abundant human and natural resources but our people are still suffering. We have to congratulate them for their patience.”

Nigeria at 53 years of Independent and 99 years as a country is like an imbecile son of a multi-billionaire who refused to grow, develop, or mature physically with retarded brain. An imbecile son cannot and will not be able to manage the wealth of his parents unless he wakes up from slumber.

Nigeria a land that flows with milk and honey are now turned to a land flowing with BLOOD on daily basis.

My advice to all Nigeria is to look inwards and begin to search our minds. And we must be ready to contribute our quotas.

I wish Nigeria happy anniversary.

SCANDAL THAT REFUSED TO GO....TELL THIS GUY TO CLEAR HIS NAME AND SPEAK UP

I will not quote bible verses on this blog for now, but the words of God says ‘’By their fruit you shall know them.’’ The names (Commonwealth of Zion Assembly )COZA, Abiodun Fatoyinbo and Ese Walter are the most popular among Nigerian of recent due to the fact that Ese claimed that she had a week-long sexual escapade with the senior pastor of the church, Abiodun Fatoyinbo.

However, since Ese Walter’s confession and that of one Franca who also claimed that the pastor with ‘uncommon prophetic insight’ lured her to Wheatbaker Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos, for a ‘romantic prayer, Biodun Fatoyinbo has neither come out to refute or accept the allegation, but claimed that he was still waiting for God’s order

God’s order indeed!!! While he was committing this sacrilege, did he receive the order from God?  Moreover, it was revealed that the silence maintained by Pastor Biodun is having a negative effect on the church. This can be seen when one of his church member said  that many aggrieved members and deacons have left the church since the authority of the church decided to sweep the matter under the carpet and the population of the church was reducing drastically on weekly bases.

“I think this started not quiet long. Last week was even the worst; you could see empty seats everywhere,” the female member said.

When asked if the man of God had come out to deny or admit the allegation, the member said they've warned them never to talk about it anywhere, until he (Pastor Abiodun) hears from God.
“I think this is one of the reasons many members are leaving. The church authority had warned us never to talk about the issue until the man of God speaks, and I think many are beginning to find it hard to believe.”
It was revealed that members had since called on the pastor to come clean on the adultery allegations, but he prefers to remain silent until God says otherwise.

A member was quoted as saying, “God can’t ask you to keep quiet in this matter because his name is at stake too. The church of God is being accused here and the same God is telling him to keep quiet? That is immaterial, I can’t accept that.”

To me the best thing for this pastor to do is to open up and say it as it is; tender an unreserved apology to his congregations, his wife ,children and all the ladies in question if he actual committed the sin and come out boldly to clear the air, rather than ‘waiting for God to tell him when to speak.’’ A silence means concealment.

7 SHOTS OF JOHN YUSUF THE THIEF........HIGH LEVEL CORRUPTION IN NIGERIA

John Yusuf. ''He Was Part Of Those Who Stole N27 Billion Naira Of Poor Pensioners' Money (He Admitted In Court That He Milked Only N2 Billion!) Anyways, He Is A Free Man Today. Why? He Walked Away With A Fine Of N750,000. The Freaking Thief Also Had To Forfeit 32 Freaking Houses In Abuja And Gombe State. Ole! 32 Houses!!! ''

NIGERIA POLICE THIS CORRUPTION IS 3-MUCH

In the video footage watched on YouTube, secretly filmed by a passenger at the back seat in which a policeman apprehended the driver of a vehicle that was coming from Akure, Ondo State to Umuahia, Abia State has since become an Internet hit. This show of shame made it the third time in the past two month.

The policeman sat in the front seat with the driver, demanded a bribe of N10,000  after checking the vehicle particulars, declared that he had discovered some discrepancies between the documents and the chassis number, number ‘3’

The man in uniform bellows, “Settle us. Just give us N10,000 make I waka comot. Or is it too much? If I knew you stole the vehicle, I won’t collect money from you.”

It is three much! I want you to take me to your station. I’m not afraid of anything. I can go back to Akure. At worst, I will miss my appointment in Umuahia. Why will I part with N10,000 on the vehicle I didn’t steal? No sir! I can’t do that. said the driver.

“I will rather go back to Akure, get the registration officer and other supporting documents, come back with another vehicle and clear myself. And that is to tell you that I have not done something wrong,” the driver then told the nursing mother inside the car that “My sister, don’t worry! At worst, you will sleep in a hotel with your baby when I go back to Akure,” the driver added.

The policeman replied, “Eh eh. It is three much. Wetin make am too much?” He ordered, “Driver, come down.” And the video went dead.
Meanwhile, in as much as i am totally against any form of cheating, bribery, or extortion, we Nigerian then need to look inwards at the root cause or causes of the madness within the Police force that refused all form of medication.

How much is the take home of the Police Constable? Do Police have any allowance? Are the police well trained? Do the authority organise refresher courses for these officers? In short are their welfare has been look into by their boss?

However, corruption is now spreading from top government official to the messengers in the offices in Nigeria this malice need a serious attention.

You will recalled that a police sergeant, Chris Omeleze, who was caught on video camera extorting N25,000 from a motorist in Lagos in August , and another sets of two traffic policewomen, corporals Elizabeth Itolor and Jennifer Azingbe, were also videotaped receiving N100 bribe from a commercial bus driver at the Oshodi/Apapa Expressway.

Paul Saint, a YouTube user argued that there is no excuse for being corrupt, attributing the behaviour “This has nothing to do with the service welfare of the police. Corruption in Nigeria has nothing to do with low or high salary pay. If you are corrupt, no matter what you earn, you will still find ways to illegally enrich yourself. Most cases of corruption recorded in this country are perpetrated by persons who are otherwise fairly comfortable with bribes.’’

“Corruption is as a result of greed only. Not poverty or low pay. We must condemn corruption at all times and not make excuses for it. But even if they are not well paid, there is no excuse for corruption. The most corrupt persons in Nigeria started off with collecting less than N10,000 and because we excuse them or celebrate them, they step up their demands to millions and billions. Well paid or not, do not demand or collect bribe.”

We urged the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Abubakar,  to conduct an orderly room trial to ascertain the policeman’s culpability in the alleged crime and place appropriate sanctions on him if found guilty. At the same time, he should set up a high level investigative panel to look at the immediate and remote causes of all these acts, and the recommendations must be implemented. .

DOKUBO,ABACHA AND AL-MUSTAPHA :3 MUSKETEERS UNHOLY ALLIANCE

According to  The Universal Declaration on  Human Rights  Charter, Article 2 is concern, which  state that ‘’ Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty’’

And Articles 18 and 19 state clearly that ’’Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.’’ And ‘’ Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.’’

That is to say, Al-Mustapha, Mohammed Abacha and Asari Dokubo are free to mingle, meet freely, associate with each other, and hold a political meeting.

However, the new found friendship between these 3 musketeers ,namely: Major Hamza Al-musthapa, the former Chief Security Officer to the former Head of State, General Abacha Sanni,  the Leader of the terrorist group, Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, Mujaheed Dokubo-Asari and that of Mohammed Abacha, son of the former Nigeria military dictator is currently need to view with caution.
The purpose of this ‘unholy’ alliance is not yet clear to me. However, with Dokubo-Asari, his own mission is very clear...he want to cause problems in Nigeria. With his utterances of recent calling for the arrest of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Abubakar Atiku and other top political leaders in Nigeria, he has not hidden his disdain for any political arrangement that would return presidential power to the North in 2015, and al-Mustapha’s association with the ex-militant is seen by politicians in the region as a ploy to scuttle the North’s chance of wresting power from President Goodluck Jonathan in the next general election.
It was gathered further that while al-Mustapha is seen as a potent factor to checkmate most of the politicians in the North as well as a better tool to sell Jonathan’s candidature to the region, since he was a beneficiary of Jonathan pardon. Also  being seen as a bridge builder to the people in South through his association with Dokubo-Asari.
Politicians in Jonathan’s camp are also convinced that Muhammed Abacha’s influence in Kano politics is not only capable of dividing the politicians in the state, but is also capable of rallying political support for Jonathan when he eventually secures the ticket of his party to contest the 2015 presidency.
Disturbed by this purported political permutation, some youths in the North addressed a press conference, during which they condemned the said alliance between al-Mustapha and Dokubo-Asari, saying “we hereby condemn the so-called Al-Mustapha –Dokubo Kaduna conference under the auspices of the National United Alliance, and call on the northern youth to dissociate themselves from any act that is unprogressive to the region (sic!).”
The Northern Coalition Movement, comprising the Northern Youth Interactive Forum (represented by its Strategy and Planning Officer, Alhaji Kabiru Bako); the Youth Coalition Movement (represented by Alhaji Haruna Sparrom) and the Northern Youth Revival Movement, represented by Comrade Ahmed Tahir. On behalf of the coalition, Alhaji Kabiru Bako said ‘’it was an anomaly for al-Mustapha to still be referring to himself as a youth at the age of 54, saying he could no longer speak on behalf of youths. He then berated him for organising a rally in Owerri on behalf of northern youths.’’
They said, “We are using this medium to call on our northern youths to be patriotic to the region in order not to be manipulated ahead of the 2015 general election by Goodluck Jonathan using Major al-Mustapha.”
“As we will move to disown Major al-Mustapha, we also advise him to (face) his court litigation and be more prayerful this time, as he may not enjoy the prayer of the Northern people, now that they have known his true colour.”
Moreover, as this alliance is concern, these three guy need be monitor closely by the security agents as their action and utterances by their  spoke persons Asari Dokubo is  worrisome.

A LADY THAT CARES FOR THOSE LIVING IN EXTREME POVERTY

Although while in medical school Dr. Helene Gayle didn’t necessarily foresee herself being the head of a humanitarian nongovernmental organization, she always knew she wanted to have a career that would allow her to make a broad global impact. Today, as the president and CEO of CARE, she is doing just that. An international humanitarian organization that is fighting poverty across the globe, CARE’s staff of nearly 10,000 helps facilitate programs that in 2011 reached 122 million people in 84 countries. For her contributions, Gayle is being honored with Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2012 Lifetime Achievement Health-Care Heroes Award.
“It’s incredibly gratifying to know you can make a huge difference in the lives of people who live in extreme poverty, who don’t have many of the things you and I take for granted,” Gayle said. “When I travel around the world and see what a $2 loan can do to change the whole life of a woman and her family — allow them to start businesses, earn incomes and send their children to school and to really create a real positive social change in their communities — to be part of an organization that does it, I think is awesome and a true privilege.”
Gayle has many years of experience helping create change. During her two decades at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, she worked in a variety of capacities, mainly focusing on combating HIV/AIDS. She was appointed as the first director of the National Center for HIV, STD and TB prevention, and achieved the rank of rear admiral and assistant surgeon general in the U.S. Public Health Service. She also served as the AIDS coordinator and chief of the HIV/AIDS division for theU.S. Agency for International Development. In 2001, she joined the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where she directed the HIV, TB and Reproductive Health Program before taking the helm at CARE in 2006.
“I have been able to work with amazing organizations that have allowed me the opportunity to be of service to others,” she said. “There are many goals I’ve set that I feel I’ve been able to meet —helping to develop the organizations I’ve worked with, helping to develop the people and the talent and helping to develop the capacity to have a positive impact, both in this country and around the world.”
In her current role, Gayle has worked to raise the visibility and understanding of what CARE is and does in the public eye, both internationally and in Atlanta, and focused on increasing partnerships across a variety of sectors and organizations, including other nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), the private sector and governments. She’s reinforced the organization’s focus on long-term impact, increased policy and advocacy efforts, and strengthened connections between poverty and the environment.
“The world is obviously well-served by the work of Dr. Gayle, but so is Atlanta as she attracts gifted workers from many countries to work in Atlanta, provides Atlanta with a window to the needs of the world and makes globalization a positive force in our community. A lifetime of service is a gift to all of us,” said Bill Foege, professor emeritus at Emory University School of Public Health and senior fellow emeritus at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation who has known Gayle since her days at the CDC.
In her leadership at CARE, Gayle has also led efforts to emphasize the organization’s commitment to empowering girls and women to be a force of change in poor communities.
“I have a real interest in the role that women can play as agents of social change,” she said. “Coincidentally, as I was coming on to CARE, it was really looking at how to increase the emphasis on empowering girls and women as part of its work.”
Bringing about change across the globe in the fight against poverty is no small feat. Gayle is constantly on the go, traveling from continent to continent to keep tabs on CARE’s myriad of programs.
“Her enthusiasm is contagious and her empathy is genuine. She appears to be as fearless in talking to Congress as she is gentle in talking to mothers,” Foege said. “Adaptability, hard work and example tend to be her methods of getting work done to improve health and well-being. The demands on her time are constant, the travel overwhelming, and yet she always rises to the next occasion.”
While the time commitment required by her position is great and it can often be difficult to keep a work-life balance, Gayle said the knowledge that she is helping make a huge impact in the lives of so many is incredibly gratifying. She also enjoys the diversity of her work — CARE spearheads projects that ranging from microfinance and water to agriculture and health. She said this diversity has broadened her understanding on the vital aspects involved with improving people’s lives beyond just health.
“I’ve learned a lot more about all the other things that are very critical to improving people’s lives that are very linked to health, but are beyond that,” she said. “I interact with a wide range of people from highest-level officials in governments around the world to the poorest of the poor in developing countries. To be able to interact with such a wide range of people, but still be able to see the common humanity in all of us — for me it’s a very rewarding thing.”......BY :GIANNINA SMITH BEDFORD

JONATHAN ADMINISTRATION MASSIVE LOOTING HAD RUN THE ECONOMY AGROUND

Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, the chairman of the New Peoples Democratic Party has condemned  the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan administration.

In a statement issued by the faction in Abuja, and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Chukwuemeka  Eze.

It drew attention to the massive scale of officially-induced oil theft, the dwindling returns from oil and massive looting going on at the federal level as evidence that Nigeria was on the brink of economic collapse. He added that the states had also been unable to meet their obligation to contractors.

“One manifestation of this is the Federal Government’s inability to pay states their share of the Federal Allocation since July. The last time that states were paid was for part of July.”

Baraje ,further noted that “As at today, the states are being owed N336 bn, with the N75bn being the balance of the July 2013 arrears, N121 bn from June augmentation and over N90bn as at  July augmentation.

“The implication of this unfortunate development is that the 36 states have become impoverished and unable to meet up with basic obligations, including the payment of workers’ monthly salaries, which many of the states have been unable to do due to lack of funds.”

“Let us ponder this: If states cannot pay their contractors – not to talk of entering into new contracts – if states cannot pay their workers because there is no money to pay them, what could result is a huge social catastrophe that will add to the social, economic and political inferno already ravaging Nigeria today.

“All these portend very grave danger for our dear country as youth and labour restiveness appears imminent.”

Baraje warned  Nigerians to expect deterioration in the unemployment situation which is inevitable should the Federal Government continue with the present shoddy management of the economy which leaves much room for abuse.

“Ironically, while the masses suffer, government officials continue to feed fat, using various guises to fritter away our common patrimony,” Baraje  said, adding that Nigerian leaders’life of opulence had  blinded them to the realities of the monumental suffering to which the masses were being subjected on a daily basis.

“Where has all the money gone? For an instance, the Central Bank of Nigeria  had revealed that the country earned a total of N1.05 trn in July, but surprisingly, the minister had not been able to pay states their due statutory allocations. Where are the billions of dollars accruable from daily crude oil sales?
