MUHAMMADU BUHARI'S APPOINTEES: IS IT NOW A CRIME IN NIGERIA TO APPOINT COMPETENT PERSONS IN STRATEGIC POSITIONS?
First of all
as a Nigerian, I have all the right to comment on the national issues both the
economics, political and socials issues
as it affects my people ( saying my people does not mean am referring to Ijebus
or Yorubas in particular but Nigerians in general) Having said that, I have read some
comments about Muhammad Buhari’s few
appointments so far, but it’s a pity that most Nigerians are still “sick minded”.
Is it a crime in Nigeria now to appoint the right persons to strategic
positions in his administration? “And the tribalists are ranting. They claimed
that their tribesmen and women were neglected. They did not complain of
qualifications of these selected few. But because they are not from their
tribes, these sick minded Nigerians did not tell us few months ago that he would make appointments based on our constitution’’.
Wait a minute, as far as am concern, I never believe in the second
slavery Edict, Law or phrases called ‘QUOTA SYSTEM’. The system is rubbish; it’s
a ‘tribal and ethnic sentiments’, whereby a mediocre will be appointed based on
ethnicity and tribal crap so as to satisfy our myopic tribal masturbations.
What is the quota system? According to FactMonster, quota
system was defined as: 1. a system, originally determined by legislation in 1921, of limiting by
nationality the number of immigrants who may enter the U.S. each year.
2. a policy of limiting the number of minority group members in a business firm, school, etc.
3. any hiring or admissions policy requiring that a specified number or percentage of minority group members be hired or admitted.
2. a policy of limiting the number of minority group members in a business firm, school, etc.
3. any hiring or admissions policy requiring that a specified number or percentage of minority group members be hired or admitted.
From the
list of all appointees made so far by President Buhari , who among them are not qualify for the
appointment? as my friend Azuka Jebose
put it; “ Enough of this "na my person" politics and nonsense”.

Trouble started after Steven demanded for his money back. He claims that Daniel refused to pay him back and instead shouted at him. After weeks of quarreling, an angry Steven decided that the best way to deal with the defaulting Solomon was to kill him. Confessing to the crime, Steven said he invited Solomon to his house where he offered him a drink which he had already drugged. After Solomon had fallen asleep under the influence of the drug, Steven proceeded to behead him.

"At about 3a.m, I decided to
kill him. I gave him the first cut and the guy got up. I gave him a second one
and then he died and I butchered him to parts. When I invited him to my house
that day, he started shouting and getting angry with me, so I killed him. I am
not dealing on body parts, I only cut him to pieces to be able to carry him.”

Steven
brought out a rope and tied the neck of the deceased to a bed in his one-room
apartment and then stabbed him on the chest with a knife sharpened and kept for
the purpose. According to him, the deceased died without much
resistance. He said he used the machete to cut off the head and
dismembered each of the body parts of his friend. He is currently in police
custody. My goodness!!
NIGERIANS AMONG THE 67 MIGRANTS DROWNED AFTER BOATS CAPZISED OFF LIBYA COAST
The crew of the Swedish rescue vessel ‘Poseidon’ discovered
around 52 bodies in the hold of a wooden boat from which around 400 people were
rescued some 30 miles north of Libya. In a separate incident, another 15 people
are feared drowned after their boat capsized around five miles off the
coastal town of Zuwara on Wednesday.
A spokesman for the coastguard there said they had saved 20 people and recovered three bodies. The survivors, primarily from Nigeria and Ghana, told the coastguard they were traveling in a group of about 40 when their boat overturned in bad weather.
The Italian coastguard said in a
statement that around 3,000 people had been rescued in 10 different operations
throughout Wednesday on the central Mediterranean route to Europe. That brings
the total number of people rescued since Saturday to about 8,170 people.
Rescuers from the Migrant Offshore
Aid Station (MOAS), Medicines Sans Frontieres (MSF), the
Swedish coastguard and Italian Navy rescued at least 1,800 people
between themselves. Most of them were picked up within a square mile some
30 miles north of Zuwara.
