PHOTOS:GREAT-GRANDMOTHER REUNITED WITH LOST BILLIONAIRE BROTHER AFTER 60 YEARS

A great-grandmother,Ida Wilde, 83,  has been reunited with her long-lost brother, Mr Patel, now 78,in August ,after being split up 60 years ago - to find out he is one of the richest men in the world.
Ida Wilde, 83, never thought she would see her adopted brother Asgar Patel after he was forced to leave her Glasgow home and return to India.

After leaving the adopted family in Scotland, Mr Patel, now 78, returned to his homeland and built up one of the largest logistic companies in India.

'It turns out he'd spent years searching for his adopted Scottish family but we moved out of Glasgow and he couldn't find us.'
Mrs Wilde's great aunt took Mr Asgar in after he turned up on her boarding school's doorstep completely terrified with three other children who had fled India during its mass migration to Britain.
But after a while the elderly woman could not cope with all four youngsters and Mrs Wilde's mother stepped in to save the day.
Six-year-old Asgar became a part of Mrs Wilde's family along with his older sister Kuslom, 12.
Mr Patel and Mrs Wilde were inseparable for the five years they spent together, until the heart-breaking news came that he had to go home.
Sixty years later Mr Patel decided to message Mrs Wilde on Facebook on the chance it was actually her and she might even reply.

Mrs Wilde has branded the whole thing a 'miracle' and says it was 'surreal' to find out how successful he had become.
The siblings 'chatted like two old pals' when he travelled to her home in Irvine in August.
After the emotional reunion Mr Patel wants to fly his long-lost sister out to Dubai to meet his family in the new year.
On his company's website, Patel Roadways is describes as follows: 'Nearly half a century after his father Shakoor Hasham Patel left Gujarat to start a successful cap manufacturing business in Mumbai, his son Asgar Shakoor Patel with the same thirst for success and passion for hard work made a pivotal journey of his own.

'He returned from the United Kingdom with the certainty that he wasn't going to join his father's business, instead make his own roads.

'From a Salesman to a Stenographer to a Secretary, he went on to transporting his first consignment for Glaxo in 1959. This was the dawn of Patel Roadways Limited.

'A zest for success and a clear-cut vision drove Asgar Patel to transform Patel Roadways into one of the largest logistics companies in Asia with 1000 delivery outlets and complimented by a workforce of over 7,500 people.'

PRISON BREAK: HOW EVANS PLOTTED TO ESCAPE BY OFFERING POLICE GUARD $100,000

Chukwudubem Onwuamadike, alias Evans,an alleged kidnapping suspect, plotted to escape from police custody before his arraignment in court, it was learnt at the weekend.

A source spoke of Evans’ plan to give between $50,000  and $100,000 to one of the guards manning his cell to facilitate his escape.

The source said Evans was allegedly coordinating his escape bid with some members of his gang by telephone which he obtained through “suspicious” means.

It was learnt that intelligence officers and IGP’s Special Tactical Squad detected his plot.

The source said: “When Evans was in our custody, he tried to escape but we were able to abort all his plans. We discovered that he had access to phones which were hidden in the middle of loaves of bread, eba, semovita and so on.

“He was making calls from these smuggled phones in the middle of the night, making arrangements with some yet to be identified members of his gang to arrange for his escape.

“We intercepted how he was luring one of the guards with about  $50,000 to $100,000. He wanted an insider to serve as informant to him and members of his gang.”

It is important to note that after months of hide and seek, Evans was arrested by  police on June 10 at No. 3, Fred Shoboyede, Magodo, Lagos. He is standing trial before an Ikeja High Court for alleged conspiracy and kidnapping alongside five other accused persons namely: Uche Amadi, Ogechi Uchechukwu, Okwuchukwu Nwachukwu, Chilaka Ifeanyi and Victor Aduba.

GIRLS CHASED ME AWAY FROM ACTING~~ELESO

Nollywood veteran,Adewale Adeoye, aka Elesho,in a chat with Sunday Scoop, he gave his reasons why he was not on silver screen recently. .....

“A lot of people have been asking me this question lately. If you notice, many of the people in my category that we started acting at the same time are no longer that vibrant in the industry. It is because we are afraid of the type of scripts that the children are churning out these days. Even in my house, I cannot watch most of the films that are released nowadays because there is really nothing to learn from them. Many of the actresses don’t dress properly. And because we are not their parents, they don’t listen to us. You cannot expect people whose parents are not responsible to behave well. You cannot see people whose parents are theatre practitioners, or those who actually trained for the job, behaving badly. Another major issue which is killing the industry is piracy. Many of us borrow money from banks just to shoot movies, and at the end of the day, we are not able to recoup our funds because of piracy. There was a time I caught the person who pirated a particular movie of mine, and he threatened me that if I took him to the police station, he would come back for me. He told me that he used to be an armed robber, and that it was when they killed his gang mates that he started piracy. At that point, I had to let him go. The government really needs to do something urgently about piracy. If there are strong punitive measures for pirates, you would see that it would reduce drastically,” he said.

Speaking on what he did for fun when he was younger, he said, “I was born in the farm and we never went to the club in those days. Our parents were disciplinarians, and you couldn’t afford to behave badly. We didn’t even have the liberty to visit friends without informing our parents. Then, whenever my father was angry at me, my mother would also automatically be upset. I’ve never been fond of going to nightclubs, but I unwind in my own way with friends. I also belong to social clubs”

PHOTOS: LADY CUT OFF HER NEIGHBOR'S TONGUE FOR RITUAL PURPOSE

A lady simply identified as Ilerioluwa has been arrested at Ogudu, Lagos, for allegedly  cutting off her neighbor, Suleman Babangida’s tongue, supposedly for ritual purpose. The incident happened around midnight on Thursday, October, 5, 2017.

Narrating his own story, the victim, Babangida, said: “It was around 11:30pm when I came back home. Then when I was about to go and urinate at the bathroom, all of a sudden I just saw this lady that I usually call Ilerioluwa, at my back inside the bathroom.

I was like sister Ileri what’s happening, all of a sudden, she just choked my neck and I could not have the strength to scream out extremely. All I could see next was that my tongue had been cut down.”
Ileri was later arrested and the tongue retrieved from her. According to Babangida, she is currently being detained at the Kirikiri prison, after appearing in court on Friday.

Regarding his current condition, Babangida said: “Right now I can’t even eat or take something. I am in pain. The tongue can’t be reattached any longer. I’m not in any relationship with Ileri.

I respected her a lot and took her like a sister. She has nothing to say about what she did to me. The case has been adjourned till the 16th of this month.”
