The picture above is of the Permanent Secretary , Federal Ministry of Health in Nigeria, Mrs Fatima Bamidele narrowly escaped being lynched yesterday by workers of the Ministry who were protesting against what they described as " gross maladministration and fraudulent practices"
The workers who were poised for a showdown yesterday alleged among others that " The Permanent Secretary has defrauded and denied the workers over 500millions of Naira meant to be their allowances and fringe benefits "
They also alleged the Perm Sec of ' deliberating tormenting their families by her refusal to pay their allowances as directed by the President "
The protest brought to a halt all the activities at the ministry which warranted the attention of the minister who came over to pacify the workers .
