Barely 48 hours that the Governor of Edo State, Adams
Oshiomole , signed the state’s “Kidnapping Prohibition Law
2009” as amended by the Edo State House of Assembly into law, the wife
of the former Chief of General Staff, Late Admiral Augustus Aikhomu , Rebecca
was yesterday kidnapped in Edo State.
According to the report,
she was kidnapped alongside two of her children along the Benin-Auchi road by
some fully armed gunmen. Her driver was also killed in the process.
