Glenn Ford a man wrongfully convicted of murder in 1984, in Louisiana,
United State of America and sentenced to death, miraculously walked out of
death row after a free man spending 30 solid years on death row.
It was gathered that a judge ordered Ford’s release
based on “credible evidence” that supports his innocence. Glenn Ford who was 34-year-old when he was arrested ,spent nearly 30 years
locked up at the Louisiana State Penitentiary for a murder he did not commit.
He faced the death penalty.
Ford left the prison on Tuesday at age 64,after a
motion filed by the district attorney’s office said evidence discovered in late
2013 proves Ford did not kill 58-year-old Isadore Rozeman, a nearly blind
jeweler and watchmaker of Shreveport, in 1983.
“My mind’s going all different kinds of
directions,” “I’ve been locked up almost
30 years for something I didn’t do,” Ford said. “I can’t go back and do
anything I should have been doing when I was 35, 38, 40, stuff like that.”Glenn said.
Police they said found Rozeman shot in the head on the floor of his shop and his pockets turned inside out. There were no witnesses to the crime and investigators never found a murder weapon, but an all-white jury found Ford guilty of the murder

The victim’s nephew described Rozeman as a kind and
gentle person who was tragically killed for a few antique watches and clocks.’’
He had poor eyesight and would require customers to call ahead and announce
themselves before he unlocked the door, according to court documents’’ Said the
nephew..
In Louisiana, state
compensation laws provide those exonerated with $25,000 for each year
imprisoned under a wrongful incarceration.
