The Ghanaian Navy on Saturday have arrested 8-Nigerian pirates , on a Nigerian cargo vessel, MT Mariam . According to the Public Relations Officer of the 1 Garrison
of the Ghanaian Armed
Forces, Lt Maxwell Asola, said the owners of the hijacked ship
alerted the Ghanaian Navy about the incident and requested for assistance.
Lt. Maxwell Asola told the Daily Graphic that the arrest took place at about 10:30am, without any casualty.
