Broom sellers in
Yenagoa, Bayelsa, have commended the All Progressives Congress (APC) for
organizing its presidential rally in the state, saying it sparked a boom to
their business.
According to survey, it was revealed that the price of broom skyrocketed in some areas of the state within the period of the rally.

Mrs Mercy Kuro, a broom seller in Swalli market explained
that the business boomed at the period and also commended APC rally in the
state.
“The price was not high; selling broom between N150 and N200 was not too big for such big occasion and you know that broom is the symbol of the party,’’ she said.
Mr Timipa Tiwei, the state APC Chairman, said that broom was a good symbol and would be used to sweep in development in the country.
“The broom is a symbol for change and our great party is a moving train for change,” he said.
