A Nigerian girl simply
identified as Gift an Edo state indigene, (pictured above), has been found dead
one month after she gave an interview to PM News, about how she was trafficked to Ouagadougou, the
capital of Burkina Faso for prostitution.
Gift had told PM News that she and some girls had been lured to Ougadougou in April 2014 with the hope of getting a better life in Europe but in the end were made sex slaves at the ‘Bar Dancing Petit Ouaga’, a brothel in Toudoubweogo village in Ouagadougou.
During the interview in January, Gift had expressed hope that once she has paid the traffickers their money, she would be free to leave. Sadly she has died. They didn't say how she died and when.
