The Chief of staff to the President, Jones Oladehinde
Arogbofa (Brig.Gen Rtd) , on 17th February wrote a memo to the EFCC Chairman with
the heading INVESTIGATION ACTIVITIES thus: ''I have been directed by the CinC
to instruct your agency to clandestinely investigate the Personal and official finances
of the following presents and former governors and report back by the 16th of
March''.
However, if this directive is true, by all means investigate whoever
needs investigating but why do it secrecy or why is the investigation directed
only at the opposition? Mr President, please
be fair to Nigeria and order the investigation on all fraudulent elites
including the public office holders particularly high ranking officials too.
