Joland Giwa, 26, a
notorious gang leader from South London, who was moved from London to South
Wales for a fresh start robbed a bookmaker's days later, getting away with
£600.
But the 26-year-old faces
a jail sentence after admitting covering his face with a red bandana before
leaping over the counter at William Hill in Ringland, Newport.
He was moved to a bail
hostel in a suburban street in South Wales in January last year after Home Office was not unable to deport him
because neither Sierra Leone nor Nigeria will accept he is a national of their
country.
Giwa , however claimed his
infamous DSN street gang were a band of rappers instead of criminals and
claimed: “I’m not a gangster – I’m a gangsta rapper.”
