Former Governor of
Benue State, Gabriel Suswam has allegedly been arrested by EFCC on bribery and
corruption charges.
Mr Gabriel Suswam
who governed the state between 2007 and 2015 is said to be currently quizzed by
the EFCC at their office in Abuja over an alleged graft in his state.
EFCC's
spokesman, Wilson Uwajuren who confirmed that Suswan was invited today, said
“He was invited by the EFCC in connection with ongoing corruption investigation
in Benue state.”
Omadachi Oklobia , former finance commissioner under Suswam's administration, was last week grilled for several hours at the anti-graft headquarters in Abuja to defend allegations of diversion of public funds, abuse of office, embezzlement and fraud committed by them while in office.
