An
angry house wife has been arrested in Akure, Ondo State for stabbing her police
husband to death during a fight.
A
policeman, Inspector Israel Omowa, serving with ‘Fast Strike Squad,’ was
stabbed to death by his wife, Wunmi, while they were fighting at home.
According
to Eye witnesses, they said that the Inspector’s death was as a result of minor
dispute, leading to exchange of heated words in their resident at Olowolagba
area, along Akure- Owo Road.
One
of the eye witnesses said: “The Inspector’s wife, during the dispute, dashed
into the kitchen in the heat of the quarrel. She returned with a kitchen knife
and stabbed her husband on the neck. The deceased started bleeding and fell on
the ground. Some neighbours raised the alarm and rushed the Inspector to a
nearby private hospital in the area.”
