The Paramount ruler of the
Tiv in Benue State, the Tor Tiv, Dr Alfred Akawe Torkula, has died. Samuel
Ortom, Benue state governor, confirmed the death to newsmen this morning. The
late traditional ruler died of an undisclosed ailment at a private hospital in
Benue state. He was aged 71.May his soul rest in peace, Amen.
