Prince Abubakar Audu of All Progressives Congress
(APC), wins Kogi governorship election by defeating the incumbent governor,
Captain Idris Wada (ret.), of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) according to
official results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission
(INEC) in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital. Mr. Audu scored 240, 867 votes to
defeat Mr. Wada who scored 205, 977 votes.
