APPEAL COURT NULLIFIES AKWA-IBOM GOVERNOR'S ELECTION

The Appeal Court sitting in Abuja has nullified the election of the Akwa-Ibom state Governor Emmanuel Udom. The five-man jury this afternoon upheld the petition of the APC candidate in the April 11^th ,2015 election, Umana Umana who argued that the election of Governor Udom of the People’s Democratic Party did not conform to the electoral act. The court ordered a fresh election to be conducted within 90 days.
