Dino Melaye , is a senator
of a federal republic there is no doubt about that. However, the Dino you see
in flamboyant attires with shoes to match and nice rides is a wife beater, a
women abuser, a cheat and a liar. His marriage of many years to his wife,
Tokunbo , hit a dead end after she filed for divorce over constant beating she
suffered from him.
According to sources, Dino
Melaye’s problem surfaced when he impregnated Nollywood actress Bisi Ibidapo
Obe, from then he turned his wife into a punching bag and that anytime they had
an argument his wife would end up in the hospital being treated for all kinds
of injuries.
Secondly, he was alleged sleeping
with his house girl, which was one of the major problems, with his wife.

sometimes when Tokunbo went to work he will removed her picture from the house
walls and brought in different women in their matrimonial bed telling them his
wife had died

‘‘for the past 9yrs, Dino has been beating his wife to the point that there are
police records stating some reported instances, she was five months pregnant
with her second son when the beatings began, and it got worse.
she was rushed to Zanlin
hospital in 2005 at exactly 10pm, and was treated for injuries on head. He hit
her with an iron rod.
In October 2010, she was
rushed to Wuse general hospital by the police themselves after she ran out in her bloodied nightgown with deep cuts on
her arms.
The report says Dino used
a plank to flog her aiming for the head but she used her arms to protect
herself and ended up with deep deep cuts that needed emergency room attention.’’

Tokunbo and Dino had an argument and he pulled a silver pistol to her head and
was seconds away from pulling the trigger when his ringing phone distracted
him. She took off leaving behind her shoes. Bisi Ibidapo-Obe’s case is another
twist that expose the kind of man Dino Melaye is. According to her then, she
claimed she was actually introduced to Melaye by one of her friends, Lola Alao,
who told her the man could solve whatever problem she had and that the man took
interest in her right from then.
She also said she had
refused Melaye at first but that he continued to pester her and shower her with
gifts and love that she suddenly developed serious sexual interest for him and
that triggered the adultery.
However, while she was in
Canada when she discovered that she was
pregnant , according to her, she decided to call to her 'lover man,' who
initially expressed excitement over the news made her unaware of his
ulterior motives.
She said, "In
May, I went to London, came back and he called and said again that he actually
wanted a big society wedding for me but since his parents are clerics and the
rules and regulation of their church frowns at pregnant brides, he would want
me to get rid of the pregnancy. I was shocked. I wept uncontrollably all
night," the actress confessed adding that her refusal had resulted in the
Melaye refusing to pick her calls since then.
According to
her, all her efforts, through entreaties to the lawmaker were to no
avail.
"You can imagine Dino
refused to understand; he failed to know that I’m no longer a baby. This is my
joy, joy unspeakable to me, something I have been praying for and he wanted me
to be funny with it...He stopped picking my calls. But each time I tried to
call him with another mobile number, he would pick the call but as soon as he
finds out I’m the one on the phone he will drop it," she lamented.
However, in social
media messages that seem like his defence, Melaye has not denied the allegation
but simply said he "cannot be distracted by rumour mongers and peddlers of
chronic lies. Am focused so I advise u to change strategy. Slander won't
work...Am not Dangote or Prince Charls ooooo. If you claim me,you don enter 1

Moses Yomi Fabiyi, Dino Milaye’s brother-in-law sum up his (Dino) character
thus: “I know Dino to be an unrepentant
liar. I believe he got that lady (Bisi) pregnant. Why not be a good man and own
up, then apologise to his wife (Tokunbo)? He should try something else.
Everyone, including his family, are aware [that] he got her (Bisi) pregnant.
“Seeing how things turned
for him, he suddenly became an activist. The luck Dino has is that he married
one of the calmest Fabiyi girls. Else, it would’ve been a different gist
totally.”
He further added that “I
am Barr. Moses Yomi Fabiyi from Ekinrin Adde in Ijumu LGA in Kogi State. Dino
happened to represent my constituency at the National Assembly (NASS). I make
bold to say [that] there is no physical contribution from Dino’s term as our
representative. Please ask Mr ‘Upright what happened to constituency
allocations? Little wonder the PDP refused to give him ticket to re-run which
made him [to] decamp to ACN and lost woefully on that platform.”

There is no gain saying to say that the upper house and the lower house in the federal set up is filled with tugs and touts, who were furtunate either by crook or by luck to reach there. God will pay him in his own coin.
