Prince Bode Adeshina Oshinusi, was Ijebu Ode-born Prince from one of the ruling houses in
Ijebu Ode, Fidipote Royal family.
Prince Bode was a businessman per excellence
and a foremost socialite, on May 24th, 2015, he celebrated his 80th birthday,
and unfortunately he died ten days
later, on Thursday, June 4, 2015, after
a brief illness.
Prince Bode Oshinusi in his
lifetime was one of the top socialites who dominated the social scene for about
five decades, especially in the 70s and 80s many Nigeria music artistes have
sang his praise at one point or the other. The most prominent of such special
numbers for Oshinusi is the one did by King of world beat, King Sunny Ade songs:

According to his brother Prince
Kamaru Oshinusi, when asked to describe his brother Prince Bode Oshinusi, he
said: ‘He was a gentleman and we all loved him. You can see for yourself how
people turned up at his funeral. The royal family is also here. So, we thank
God for him and we pray that his soul will continue to rest in perfect peace.’
Prince Bode until his
death was the Chairman, Royal Travels Agency, located in Yaba, Lagos State, Nigeria.
The deceased, according to
information, never received any chieftaincy title, despite his wealth,
affluence and popularity. He did not also belong to any age grade such as
Regberegbe, the social club of many Ijebu sons and daughters both at home and
the diaspora.
He was survived by his
adorable wife, Alhaja Hafsat Baby Oshinusi, five children and many
grandchildren and great grandchildren.
