According to a breaking news report, Nicki Minaj's older
brother, Jelani Maraj, has been charged with first degree rape of a girl that
is just 12 years old. According to Newsday who broke the story, Jelani, who got
married in August allegedly raped the girl in Long Island but didn't say when.
Jelani was reportedly arraigned on Dec. 4, after he was allegedly charged with first-degree rape and first-degree course of sexual conduct with a child, reports Newsday. The alleged victim of this reported crime is a 12-year-old child that Jelani, “had access to,” according to the New York Daily News.
He was later released on $100,000 bail after being arraigned yesterday Dec. 3rd on first-degree rape and first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child.
The Nassau district attorney’s office, have so far declined to comment on the case, and how the matter came to authorities’ attention.
