Meanwhile, the Amnesty
International said in its annual report on the death penalty worldwide released
on Wednesday that “Indonesia stood out for all the wrong reasons.”
Papang Hidayat, Head, Amnesty Researcher, Indonesia, said the death penalty was always a human rights violation.
Hidayat said investigations by human rights groups have found that individuals sentenced to death have been tortured and forced to sign police investigation reports. (Dpa/NAN)

SCANDAL: NOLLYWOOD ACTRESSES WHO 'CRASHED' OTHERS' MARRIAGES (3)
The
show must go on, Nollywood stars behaves exactly like the roles they play in the movies..Ini Edo,
Oby Edozien,Lola Alao, Nkiru
Sylvanus , Foluke Daramola, Stella Damasus etc. are 10 and 10pence.. birds of the same
feather, when it comes to men issues .(Read morehere andhere )
Ini Edo
An Akwa Ibom State-born screen goddess has made her mark
in the Nigerian movie industry and is among the foremost actresses who have
become the nightmare of many married couples.Ini, is said to be a lady who
would get any man she desired. She settled for Philips Ehiagwina, an
America-based Nigerian. This resulted in Philips divorcing his wife, Ruth Okoro
who had sacrificed so much for him. Philips marriage to Ini means Ruth’s once
happy home got destroyed. The said marriage is now history. Ini Edo’s marriage
crashed like a pack of cards on alleged infidelity accusations!!! Read what Ini Edo’s husband family members
are saying about her:
“Ini
Edo should shut up about the marriage crash because with the way she is going
by trying to paint Phillip as the wrong party, we may be forced to open her can
of worms and it will not be palatable to her and her career. I can tell
you that Ini Edo is a serial cheat who played the field behind her husband’s
back for the duration of their marriage. Is she going to deny she was dating
one Island big boy whose girlfriend organized her friends to beat her up and
injured her?
I can tell you that Ini Edo is
not as innocent as she is trying to make people believe or think. We caught her
on more than three occasion with three different men and she always begged us
to forgive her. We can even mention some of the men she had affairs with
including a South-South governor whose wife embarrassed her and ordered her
security to send her out of the governor’s guest house in the state
capital. She should dare us and we will mention the name of the governor
on the pages of newspapers.
Did she tell you how Phillip
embarrassed her in front of her people when he went to collect his bride price?
He told her people the kind of adulterous daughter they have and how she had
been cheating on him right from the first day they were married. In fact,
he did not want to collect the bride price but her people begged him to collect
it as that would free her to get married to another man in the future.”
Oby Edozien
Newly married Oby has had her share of being responsible
for destroying relationships. It was revealed that Alex was married to Fathima
Abubarkar, a South African lady of Asian background years back. The story is
that Alex met Fathima in Singapore more than 10 years ago when he was still
struggling to make ends meet and she not only stood by him then, but also
assisted him. This moved him to walk her down the aisle in 2001.
The union was blessed with a child. Oby, however, when
Alex travelled on a business trip to Nigeria, he met the actress who hooked him.......
Months later, a secret wedding was organised for the two and that eventually
exposed the plot and she came out to express her side of the story.
Lola Alao
Apart from joining and separating lovers which Lola is
known for, she has also got herself into playing lead role in the business of
breaking homes. She was at a time said to be pregnant for one Biodun Bodunrin,
a Holland-based Nigerian who is married with kids, something that nearly tore
apart his marriage. Another of such was her relationship with Gbenga Bankole,
popularly called Gbenga Astoria, of the Astoria Catering World.
Gbenga who is happily married tried his best to keep the
affair secret but was forced to pull out of it when he realised Lola wanted
more than a secret relationship and this was about to cause crisis in his
marriage. She was also at a time said to be having it good with a tall producer
in the movie industry by the name Ameen,
. Quite interestingly, Lola plays the lead character when a script is on dating
married men.
Nkiru Sylvanus
Nkiru, , has had more than a fair share of controversies,
which climaxed recently in her closeness to Rochas Okorocha. She was suspected
to be dating the businessman who later became the governor of Imo State.
Nkiru who has remained single even when her peers are
either married or living as single parents, we were told some time ago that Nkiru Sylvanus is set to marry
former Oge Okoye ex and father of her two lovely kids, Stanley Duru!
According to Linda Ikeji’s blog,
‘Stanley was first Nkiru's boyfriend but while they were having issues he met
Oge, she got pregnant and they did some kind of introduction. They broke up and
now he's back in Nkiru's life. They were supposed to get married this past
Saturday Dec. 27th but sources close to Nkiru say it didn't happen and that
they will likely marry early 2015.’
Foluke
Daramola
Busty Nollywood Actress Foluke Daramola moves
in with married lover, Kayode Salako
Kayode was then
still legally married to wife of 13 years, with three lovely children, said that
God set him free from ’13 years of marital bondage, confusion, frustration and
regrets.’
When asked why he
abandoned his wife and three kids, Kayode replied:
I didn’t abandon
my wife and kids; they abandoned me. My wife abandoned me for Foluke to take
over. In my family, it’s an abomination for a woman to pack her things and
leave her husband’s house, if it’s not the man that sent her out. What she did
has confirmed she’s not my destined wife. Foluke now lives with me in Omole
Phase 1. The rest is now history..Foluke in an interview of recent said:
‘The fact that I
have feelings for someone and the person feels the same way about me and we
both have a past that we are moving beyond does not make us bad people. The way
they made it seem to the outside world was like I was a bitch that just
wanted to be wicked. I was trying to be happy. My husband and I felt bad but he
had to be bold and brave for both of us. He had to be a man and he handled it
very well. He helped me overcome it and I thank God that it is over,”
“Everybody
is fine now. Everything is cool with our ex because we believe that we disagree
to agree. Just because it did not work with one person does not mean it would
not work with another person. All parties involved are mature about it and so
far, everybody is happy.” she said.
Stella Damasus
That Stella Damasus dated
Daniel Ademinokan is an understatement. Both are now husband and wife living together
in USA. This is a case of dog eating dog, because Doris Simeon and Stella Damasus
are both Nollywood stars.........fast forward, the rest is now history.
A MUST READ: HOW & WHY JONATHAN LOST THE ELECTION
Goodluck Jonathan has earned the dubious distinction of
being the first president in Nigerian history to lose an election. In many
ways, Jonathan was the architect of his own downfall. He made critical mistakes
that turned the public and allies against him, and led them to gravitate
towards the opposition. Here’s where it all went wrong: Continue...
1.
Don’t cross the boss
When Nigeria emerged from
15 years of military rule in 1999, Jonathan’s Peoples Democratic party (PDP)
was formed by wealthy retired generals to inherit power from the military. One
of the godfathers was General Olusegun Obasanjo, who has governed Nigeria twice
(between 1976-1979 and 1999-2007). Jonathan made the mistake of alienating
Obasanjo; leading the general to write a public 18-page letter containing
lacerating criticism of the president in December 2013. A party member likened
Obasanjo’s hectoring of Jonathan to a father’s disappointment with his
son.
Rather than make peace with the 77-year-old, Jonathan’s office retaliated.
Getting on the wrong side of Obasanjo is the political equivalent of crossing a mafia don. You will pay. Obasanjo’s attacks on Jonathan intensified. In February, an irate Obasanjo quit the PDP and dramatically ripped up his party membership card on television.
Jonathan was naïve to think he could remain president without the support of PDP godfathers like Obasanjo. Although Nigeria is no longer under military rule, many retired millionaire generals call the shots from behind the scenes.

2.
Playing fair
Previous Nigerian
presidents were too cynical to expose themselves to the unpredictable risk of a
fair election. The election victories of PDP presidents during the past 16
years have been partially “assisted” by electoral malpractice. That changed
when Jonathan nominated Professor Attahiru Jega as the chairman of the
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in 2010. Jega vowed to reform
Nigeria’s electoral process to ensure free and fair elections.
The former university lecturer exuded calm authority and integrity. He has painstakingly prepared for the task over the past four years by studying the rigging methods used in previous elections, implementing an elaborate system of voter registration, training thousands of electoral staff, and introducing biometric readers to identify voters by reading their thumbprint.
Jonathan created the environment for the emergence of these changes and gave Jega the freedom and authority to conduct reforms that led to a credible election. But by giving Jega a free hand to play fair, he allowed Jega to craft the weapons that were used to oust him from power.

3.
Boko Haram and the Chibok kidnaps
When Boko Haram kidnapped
more than 200 schoolgirls from the town of Chibok in northern Nigeria, Jonathan
failed to realise how much this would capture the public’s attention, both
locally and internationally. His failure to speak about the kidnap for several
weeks made him appear uncaring. These shortcomings were exacerbated by the
behaviour of his wife, Patience, when she met the mothers of the kidnapped
girls. Her ostentatious display and over-the-top emotions were mercilessly
parodied
.
Jonathan’s perceived casual indifference to the suffering of his people was compounded when he was photographed celebrating his niece’s lavish wedding just a few days after Boko Haram had killed 2,000 people in the town of Baga.
.

4. Bad management
Jonathan’s relations with
party members at times resembled a football coach antagonising his star players
into leaving for rival teams. His tendency to fall out with colleagues
simultaneously weakened his party and strengthened the opposition. He quarrelled
with one after another; leading several of them to leave the party in
frustration and join the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC). The
alliance between these and the opposition shoved Jonathan out of power.
5.
Corruption and cronyism
Nigerians refer to their
country’s resources as the “national cake” which must be shared by its
citizens. There was a perception that Jonathan gave slices of the cake largely
to members of his own community. Many powerful members of his government were
from Jonathan’s region in the deep south of the country. Even Jonathan’s wife
was appointed as
a senior civil servant in
his home state of Bayelsa.
Under Jonathan’s presidency many militant leaders from the oil producing Niger Delta area in the south have become very rich from government patronage and contracts. Some of them have been awarded security contracts to guard the oil installations they once protested against and attacked.
Jonathan has also pardoned a former ally accused of fraud and money laundering, increasing the cloud of suspicion hanging over his government.
These events caused deep resentment in other parts of Nigeria and created the impression that Jonathan ran a government that benefits those from his part of the country, the south, but not many others.
Jonathan even managed to get into a public feud with the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, the respected Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. In February 2014 Sanusi alleged that $20bn of Nigerian oil revenue was unaccounted for. Rather than investigating the claims Jonathan fired Sanusi for his impertinence at publicly hinting of government fraud.
Buhari’s victory is historic and unprecedented. However Jonathan was responsible almost as much as Buhari was.

WATCH THE VIDEO: BOGE GEORGE CAN RELOCATES TO MOON IF HE LIKES...TINUBU
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu
has replied PDP chieftain, Olabode George on his threat before the
general election to relocate from the country if
General Buhari emerges as the President-elect of the country.
Hear (Olabode George) him,
“What will I be doing here? I can decide to go and live anywhere. Look at
everyone surrounding him (Buhari).
”So, I am not joking about it, what will I be doing here?
At 70, what will I be doing here? All we have been doing to restructure the
country has been lost. We have been trying to ensure balance in the polity but
all that has gone. What else will I be doing here?”said George.
Responding to Bode’s threat, Tinubu asked him to be fast
with his decision, saying that he doesn’t care if he chose to relocate to the
mountain.
He said, “He can decide to go now if he wants. Who cares?
He had relocated temporarily before and came back. So it is not a new thing. If
he likes, let him relocate to Bayelsa or Rivers, who cares. I myself will
relocate very soon.
HOSANNA TODAY KILL HIM TOMORROW...GANI ADAMS CONGRATULATES BUHARI
Hosanna today,
kill him tomorrow!!! Gani Adams on Wednesday sent a congratulatory message to
President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, over his election victory. Mr. Adams
commended the President-elect for his resilience and tenacity over the years.
“I wish to send my
congratulations to the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, on his
success in the recently-concluded presidential election. By his resounding
success in the election across the country, General Buhari has proved that he
is the choice of the people,” Mr. Adams stated.
“I commend his
resilience and tenacity over the years which have seen him equal the record of
great leaders like Abraham Lincoln of the USA. His victory is a lesson to all
of us that we can be what we want to be if we are patient and persistent in our
legitimate pursuits in life”.
“His speeches
before, during and after the election are also commendable because they went a
long way in dousing the tension in the country.
This actually
shows that the ‘Peoples General’ as he is fondly called is indeed a statesman’.
“However, having won the election, I want the
president-elect to begin to see himself as the president-elect of all Nigerians
and not just that of the All Progressives Congress (APC). For him, it is time
to mend whatever differences that may have arisen as a result of the election.
“It is time for
all Nigerians, irrespective of political affiliation, to come together to
continue to build our nation in a positive way, which of course, should be the
focus of the president-elect himself and every other political leader across
the various political parties in the country”, Mr. Adams said.
“And for all of
us, it is a new dawn in the annals of the country for an opposition party to
win in a popular election.
It is important to
note that shortly before the election ,Gani Adams organised a pro-Jonathan
rally in Lagos which turned violent.
ASARI DOKUBO THREATEN TO GO BACK TO CREEKS....CAN SOMEONE ADVISE THIS GUY B4 ITS TOO LATE!!!
Asari Dokubo says
the emergence of Gen Buhari as the President of Nigeria in last Saturday's
presidential election may signify "The conditions that advanced the need
to embrace the creeks have been sadly re-energised. It is clear that a vicious
government who may maim and murder the voice of the so-called minorities may
have just been birthed. Indeed integration is non-existent as regional gang-ups
and supremacy is symbolic with this victory" the statement read.
According to Asari,
"While President Jonathan enjoys his moments and basks in the euphoria of
a new world-renowned statesman having congratulated Muhammadu Buhari, we must
quickly be reminded that our struggle was never about Jonathan or about the
presidency. President Jonathan is an establishment beneficiary of our struggle,
our sweat and blood that many bled and died for. He was never in the struggle
and he can never wish away our collective march for statesmanship. Yes indeed,
to an extent, he was a mitigating factor in self-determination pursuit as we
went on sabbatical. This mitigation he seems to have willingly repudiated. The
days coming will be critical. We shall study all the conditions and consult
widely before determining the way forward for our collective existence and
survival as a people. The days coming shall either drive the quest of
integration or further separate us.”the statement read
NB: Although Asari
Dokubo as a Nigerian, has his fundamental right to say whatever he likes,
however, to instigate or clamour for war should not be taking lightly. The Ijaw
leaders need to call him to order as soon as practicable
OBITUARY: FORMER IGP ALHAJI M D YUSUF DIES @ 85
Alhaji Muhammadu Dikko Yusuf, former Inspector General of
Police, has died at the age of 85. He died last night April 1st, in his home
after a long battle with an undisclosed illness. Alhaji M. D Yusuf was the
Inspector General of Police from 1976 to 1979.
He will be buried this
afternoon according to Muslim rites. He's survived by his wife, children and
grandchildren. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.
IJAW YOUTH LEADER CONGRATULATES BUHARI ...TELLS THE YOUTHS THAT IF YOU DESTROY ANYTHING YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN !!!
Udengs Eradiri, President
of the Ijaw Youth Council, has congratulated General Buhari on his victory at
the just concluded presidential polls. In a statement released on behalf of all
the youths in Ijaw land yesterday April 1st, Mr Eradiri told the Niger Delta youths
to support the President-elect and warned them that ‘If you go and protest, you are on your
own. If you go and destroy anything, you are on your own.’ He said they should not complain as "we are the
architects of our own problems". The statement after the cut...
"I want to use this opportunity to congratulate Gen.
Buhari who has emerged the winner of the presidential election. And so as IYC,
when we had our own as President, the Igbo, the Yoruba, the Hausa were loyal to
him. We will be loyal to the President-elect, Gen. Buhari, who from May
29, 2015 would become the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We
will accept it (the results of the election). We had our own knife and yam; we
were not able to cut it the way we wanted.
We have no other
person to blame. It is in this part of the country that people ask for money to
go and vote. However, the northerners were paying for their own transportation
to go and exercise their rights and to go and pick their PVCs. Our people were
expecting that they would be paid to collect PVCs and the results reflected so.
We have no other choice; we are the architect of our own problem. So, we should
be able to live with it. If you go and protest, you are on your own. If you go
and destroy anything, you are on your own. I, as the leader of youths in this
region, have reached out to other ethnic nationalities to canvass support.
Maybe, we started
late. Maybe the attention was not given that should have started with the
political class. History has already recorded it. So, the best we can do is to
key into his (Buhari’s) administration, just as the Yoruba and Hausa key into
the administration. It is time for us to also key into the administration. So,
I called on our people to steer clear of all those political manipulations.” he
