The Olubadan
of Ibadan land, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade 1, has died. The respected Yoruba
monarch died yesterday evening after a brief illness.
He is said to have died
in his sleep on Tuesday evening. He was 101 years old. Oba
Odulana ascended the throne of his forefathers in 2007 as the 39th Olubadan of
Ibadan land.
