Robbers on motorcycle
struck at a filling station in located at Jakande Estate along Ikotun/Ejigbo
road, Ejigbo Lagos and carted away N9 million in Lagos State, western Nigeria.
The incident happened last
weekend after the station officials were about to take the money loaded in a
bag to a nearby bank.
The residents said that
the attack might have been masterminded by an insider who knew about the
movement of the money.
Following the attack, the
station has been shut and the manager and workers have been arrested for
interrogation.
They were initially
arrested by the police at Ejigbo Division who later transferred the suspects to
SCID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos.
However, sources at the
station confirmed the incident and said the suspects have been transferred to
SCID for further interrogation.
