SIR SHINA PETERS: 10 FACTS ABOUT AFRO-JUJU CREATOR

Sir Shina Peters was born on May 30, 1958 in Ogun State.
He started his career as a guitarist with General Prince Adekunle, one of the pioneers of Juju music.
He later formed his own group with Juju maestro, Segun Adewale.
Sir Shina Peters went on to form his own band in the 80s after releasing many albums with Segun Adewale.
His first album as a solo musician, Ace (Afro-Juju Series 1), went double platinum and was the career breakthrough that made him a household name in the Nigerian music industry.
 He’s regarded as the creator of a well-respected music subgenre, Afro Juju.
Sir Shina Peters currently has 16 album releases to his credit.
He’s the father of renowned music video director, Clarence Peters – a product of his affair with Nollywood actress, Clarion Chukwura.
Sir Shina Peters has a kid brother, Yomi Peters, who’s also doing well in the Juju music industry.
Sir Shina Peters is happily married to Sammie Peters
