AMOSUN MUST HERE THIS: FAKE CERTIFICATE ROCKS OGUN TEACHING SERVICE COMMISSION!

You recall  in 2012, the then Commissioner for Education and Technology, Segun Odubela, said about 800 public school teachers in Ogun State used fake certificates to secure their employment.

According to Odubela;“An alarming number of teachers have been discovered  not only to possess fake certificates but also engaged in various irregularities with which they were offered jobs in the public schools throughout the 20 Local Government Areas of the state,” Mr. Odubela emphasized".

However, the case of  fake certificates to secure an employment with the Ogun State Service Commission is  still ongoing! Despite  the fact that National Universities Commission (NUC) has published name of unaccredited universities, in which the University of Education, Wineba, Ghana,is among. It is very disturbing that some teachers in the state are still tendering the certificate from this unaccredited University as an additional qualification and Ogun state Ministry of Education sees nothing wrong with this practice! The irony of it is that these teachers didn't attend this university but they got their certificate through back door!

The question now is,does it mean that the 'Oga at the top' in the Ministry of Education never aware of this unaccredited universities certificate?

Meanwhile, the Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission, Prof. Julius Okojie, has warned Nigerians against undergoing degree programmes that the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana, is offering under an affiliation with Hallmark Educational Bureau Nigeria Limited.
Okoje said the affiliation was illegal and that certificates awarded to its products would not be recognised in Nigeria.

Okojie’s position was contained in a  Memo bulletin, which the NUC produced after a three-man delegation from the Ghanaian university visited the commission.
