EX-BEAUTY QUEEN IBIDUN IGHODALO POSTHUMOUS 40TH BIRTHDAY....29 TOP ARTISTES PERFORMED


Ex-beauty queen,Ibidunni Ighodalo, would have turned 40 on July 18, had she not passed away on June 14 .

In her honour and in celebration of her 40th posthumous birthday, top artistes including Tope Alabi, TY Bello, Sammie Okposo, Tosin Alao, Mike Aremu, Ron Kenoly, Muyiwa Olanrewanju, Kunle Ayo, BJ Sax, Ibiayo Jeje, Alabi Oke, Psalmos, Efe Nathan, Yetunde Are, Seyi Ajayi, among others  performed via social media to join the event tagged Global Worship Concert.

Determined to actualize the dreams of its Founder Ibidunni Ighodalo, Ibidunni Ighodalo Foundation (IIF) announces the commencement of its 40at40 initiative of granting 40 couples in dire need of reproductive interventions a once in a lifetime opportunity to become parents.

According to  Chairman of the Foundation, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo disclosed that the desire of the Founder before her death last month was to celebrate her 40th birthday which would have come up today by granting 40 couples who have no financial means of fertility treatment the opportunity to have one.

However to achieve this feat, the Chairman said the Foundation needs about N150m. “Already we have been able to raise close to 40% of the needed amount through various individuals. Nigerians can be very generous when you have a good cause and appeal to them in the right way”.

“We understand the emotional, psychological and financial strain that comes with pursuing fertility treatments and having gone through that pain herself, Ibidunni in her lifetime made it her life’s work to help desiring but struggling parents; we are committed to Ibidunni’s vision to give joy and keep hope alive” noted Pastor Ighodalo.

“To achieve this feat, we can not do it alone therefore we are appealing to well meaning Nigerians, organizations to help us accomplish this feat and make it an annual event by generousing donating to this Foundation”,

Speaking, the Executive Secretary of the Foundation, Mrs. Adedayo Richard said
“However, since then 13 children have been delivered by couples the Foundation assisted. More over the Foundation has also encouraged and assisted couples to adopt children”said Mrs. Richard.

Explaining some of the criteria to be met by the 40 couples to qualify them to participate in this current fertility programme, Mrs. Richard said “They must have been legally married for a period of five years, must show evidence of livelihood, must apply through the Foundation website and support the application with proper identification and the woman should not be more than 50years”.
