UPDATE: YEWANDE OYEDIRAN WHO ALLEGEDLY STABBED HER HUSBAND TO DEATH DENIES MURDER CHARGE

Mrs Yewande Oyediran, (read more here) who allegedly stabbed her husband, Ajanaku Oyediran,  a France-based businessman, to death at their Akobo residence in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on February 2, 2016 after a domestic dispute has denied the murder charge.

Led in evidence by her lead Counsel, Mr. Leye Adepoju, during the Examination-in-chief, she narrated how her late husband met his untimely death on the fateful day.

Her Words:

”We had earlier had a scuffle in which my late husband beat me up and it was settled by our landlord and his wife and my husband had gone for treatment in a neighbourhood hospital, after I had inflicted some cuts on him, because he had pressed me on the bed and continually hit on me.

“This was the aftermath of a phone call I received from a woman on that night who had earlier claimed that he had a child for my husband. My husband has confirmed it and we had quarreled over it, but had settled the issue since she first called me on July 7, 2015.

”However, after some few hours, he became angry again and started hitting me with a plank. He was angry about the wounds and threatened to retaliate. I managed to escape and he still followed me outside with a knife and pressed me to our Landlord’s car.

”Later, I felt that I have been able to push him off me, only to later realise that it was actually our landlord that had helped me out of his grips.

”I rushed to our landlord’s flat and once inside, i turned to see what was going on behind me, only to see my husband coming after me. Suddenly, I saw him falling on his back as he tried to climb the steps to the apartment.

”I rushed back after him and tried to pull him up only to see blood gushing out of his neck. I quickly shouted for help and the landlord and his wife together with his son and a Doctor whose clinic was on our street, tried to apply first aid”.
”My landlady told my Landlord to take my husband to the hospital, but he declined saying that there was blood on his car and so needed to wash it before he can take it out.
”My landlord and I went to our neighbour, Mrs Olubunmi Onipede, to help me take him to the hospital, but she refused too, saying that I earlier insulted her when she came to intervene in the earlier scuffle.
” Eventually, she agreed to take us to the hospital after I promised to fuel her car the next day, because she had told us she didn’t have fuel in her car.

”While on our way to the University Teaching Hospital, UCH, as advised by the Doctor inside our compound, our neighbour, stopped at the hospital on our street claiming that we needed to collect a referral, but the Nurse on duty, said we didn’t need one and I also heard the voice of the Doctor in the back ground telling her we didn’t need one, but that we should rush to UCH.

”We proceeded towards the hospital only for her to take Akobo Road, when we got to General Gas Road, instead of the Iwo Road that is shorter, I asked why she was taking the route, but she replied that we must take him to the nearest hospital because it was an emergence case.
”At that time, I still kept calling my husband, ”lowo”, ”lowo” and he was nodding to me even though his eyes were closed.

When her lead Defense Counsel asked her point-blank whether she killed her husband, she became emotional and said,

”I did not kill my husband. I love my husband, even if we quarrel, it won’t be to the point of death”.

However, she admitted when asked by the Prosecuting Counsel, Mr.S.S. Akinyele that it was the offending phone call from her husband’s lover that precipitated the scuffle between her and her husband that fateful night.

The Presiding Judge, who is also the Chief Judge of Oyo State, after conferring with both legal teams, instructed that the Defense legal team should file and serve its written address on the Prosecuting team on or before June 19, 2017, while the prosecuting team should respond by July 4, 2017, with the response of the defense slated for July 10, 2017, which has been set aside for adoption by the court.

LOWO OYEDIRAN'S FAMILY MAY NEVER GET JUSTICE : AS THE CASE HAS BEEN CHANGE FROM MURDER TO MANSLAUGHTER !

The family Oyelowo Oyediran Ajanaku, who was allegedly stabbed to death by his wife, Yewande Oyeniran nee Fatoki , a lawyer,at their Akobo Estate home in Ibadan on February 2nd,  may never get justice after all !

It is important to note that Yewande stabbed Lowo on the shoulder in the heat of the moment. Lowo started bleeding and was rushed to the hospital by their landlord where he was administered treatment. When he came back home from the hospital that night , his landlord offered him to sleep in his own apartment, but he declined thinking his wife had already calmed down! That was the mistake that cost him his life!

As BWF follower writes “Am really taken aback by the Lowo man. Why? Because having lived in the Western world he should by now be averse to violence and avoid it by all means. How on earth my wife nearly killed me earlier and I will carry myself to sleep on the same bed with her is really beyond me. I have lived abroad for 23yrs and counting. Any threat of violence not to talk of acting it out, am out the door in a jiffy. You aint seeing me in your life period. I on my part will never make threats or lay my hands either on the partner. Inasmuch as its our way of life to make threats which are usually empty, but by now in my ife I associate with those who know that threats are as good as acting it out.”

Lowo misjudged his wife, blinded by love that was not there in the first place, he never saw the hand written on the wall, he just went inside their room, slept with the devil and while he was sleeping in the night, his wife stabbed him in the neck rupturing delicate veins. It was a cry of agony from the man that alerted the landlord. Lowo was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival…alas he was eventually consumed by the death!

Yewande was at the court today and her charges was miraculously change from murder to manslaughter! I knew from the beginning of this case that Lowo’s family will never get justice because Yewande is a top lawyer in Ibadan, a daughter of well connected family and in Nigeria, poor people never get justice, that is just the case.

During court seating, Yewande was brought in a prison bus instead a normal green ‘Maria’. Even inside the prison she was pampering her like a ‘mini goddess’, she have two wardresses attach to her in prison!  The lady that always took her to court (Akinwale Toyin) is one of her maid while the other is Adebayo Sadiat !  Moreover, people were not allowed to take her photograph! The question that always come to my mind is that why are they protecting her identity?

With the way the case is going, Yewande may not face the wrath of the law because she is a lawyer and because she is from a very prominent and influential family in Ibadan. There is possibility that the case may be swept under the carpet…

LOWO OYEDIRAN'S MISTAKE : NEVER SLEEP IN A ROOM WITH AN ANGRY WIFE !!!

Domestic violence is a terrible thing. Whether it’s a male or female involved. According to Akinbo Oluwatomisin:
“A very terrible story happened in Ibadan on the 2nd of Feb, 2016. According to the story I heard, Yewande Oyeniran nee Fatoki and Lowo had been married for 3years without a child. Yewande works as a lawyer at the ministry of defence as the principal state counsel while Lowo, the husband is an international businessman based in France. He relocated to Nigeria in 2013 after his marriage except for occasional travels out of the country.

On the night of Feb 2, 2016, there was a disagreement between both of them. Some sources said, it was because the lady learnt that the man had a child out of wedlock in France. Other sources said it was because the man was supposed to travel to Germany and France as well as Europe to check on his child.

Yewande was allegedly not comfortable with the idea and stabbed the man on the shoulder in the heat of the moment. Lowo started bleeding and was rushed to the hospital by their landlord where he was administered treatment. He came back home from the hospital that night and was offered to sleep in the landlord's apartment, but he declined thinking his wife had already calmed down.

BIG MISTAKE!!!

When the man was sleeping in the night, his wife stabbed him in the neck rupturing delicate veins. It was a cry of agony from the man that alerted the landlord. Lowo was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Sad enough, Lowo's foster father who happens to be an Octogenarian died when he heard about his son's death. This matter has already been transferred to court and everyone awaits justice for Lowo.

It was gathered that during court seating, Yewande was brought in a private car instead of the normal police vehicle. Moreover, people were not allowed to take her photograph. It is very sad to let you know that Lowo was buried in his home town at Gbongan, Osun state on the 26th of February 2016.

With the way the case is going, Yewande may not face the wrath of the law because she is a lawyer and because she is from a very prominent and influential family in Ibadan. There is possibility that the case may be swept under the carpet.

The main purpose of sending this mail to you is to enable other blog readers to know that it is best to avoid your spouse during heated arguments, especially if he/she is the violent one. You don't know what they are capable of doing at midnight when you are asleep. Marriage is not by force!!!

WALK OUT NOW THAT YOU STILL CAN!!! “

UP DATE: YEWANDE ALLEGEDLY KILLED HER HUSBAND BECAUSE OF 'BABY MAMA & A SON' IN FRANCE

Relatives of late Lowo Oyediran, 38, who was allegedly murdered in Ibadan by his lawyer wife, Yewande Oyediran, yesterday called on the concerned authorities to ensure justice in the case.

Oyediran’s elder brother, Adelani Oyediran, who is the head of the Ajanaku family of Gbongan, spoke on behalf of the family, said the deceased was billed to return to France in pursuit of his business plans.  Raised the fear that the powers that- be had made surreptitious moves to subvert the case.

He, however, warned that justice must be allowed to take its full course in the matter. Owing to domestic feud over alleged infidelity, Yewande, who works at the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Oyo State Ministry of Justice allegedly attacked her late husband with a pair of scissors around 3a.m. on Tuesday, February 2.

She reportedly stabbed him in the shoulder and back. After Lowo had been treated at a nearby hospital and the landlord of the residence located on Adeniyi Street, Abidi- Odan area of General Gas in Ibadan, had intervened, everybody went to sleep. Around 6.10a.m, Yewande (36) allegedly stabbed her husband with a knife in the neck, leading to his death.

“It was a loud scream of Lowo crying for his landlord’s help that woke everybody up to the dastardly act, we learnt,” Adelani said.

Yewande, a Master of Law degree holder from a South African University and daughter of a Catholic venerable, was later arrested and is currently being detained at Iyaganku, Ibadan.

It was learnt yesterday that the rift that resulted in the unfortunate incident in the three-year-old family was the marital relationship between Lowo and a lady in France, leading to the birth of a baby boy.

Yesterday morning, Lowo Oyediran Ajanaku, 38, was brutally stabbed to death allegedly by his wife Yewande Oyediran nee Fatoki, at their Akobo estate home in Ibadan in the wee hours of  Feb. 2nd. The woman is said to be a lawyer and a Staff of Directorate of public prosecution at the Ministry of Justice, Ibadan, Oyo state. The lady's family claimed that she was found with a dislocated shoulder and swollen head following the fight between the couple. But friends of the late Oyelowo Oyediran say this is a lie, that the lady sustained no injury and was the primary aggressor.

This is Oyelowo, just a few hours before he was killed. He'd been stabbed in the shoulder a few hours before the second stab in the neck that led to his death. He was taken to the hospital for treatment after this stabbing but when the couple returned home another quarrel started which led to his death.

This picture was taken in the dead of the night after he was stabbed the first time and his landlord had interfered and settled the quarrel only for him to be attacked again a few hours later... and this time it was fatal. The woman allegedly stabbed Oyelowo as he sleeping after he returned home from hospital... photos of the couples b4 and after below...
