MYSTERY: ORISABUNMI AND SIBLINGS DIED WITHING TWO WEEKS

Orisabunmi and siblings all died within two weeks.......It was gathered that 3 days after the death of popular Yoruba actress, Folake Aremu, AKA Orisabunmi, her younger sister, Janet Ademola, has passed on. News of her demise was broken on Saturday by her nephew, Gbenga Onisola.


Recall that Orisabunmi’s brother, Steve Onisola,who was the Technical Director of Kwara Falcons Basketball Club, Ilorin,  had died on Thursday, barely 24 hours after the death of the popular actress.

Ademola, who was mourning her sister’s death, had in an interview with PUNCH correspondent on Friday afternoon, described Orisabunmi as her best friend, a caring sister and a mother with a rare heart of love.

She said, “The death of my elder sister, Mrs Folake Aremu, is very painful because of what she stood for in our lives as family members. She was very friendly and caring; she never left her siblings untended. We are pained because she stood in as a good mother for all of us.’’

ORISABUNMI IS DEAD

Veteran Yoruba actress, Mrs Folake Aremu, AKA "Orisabunmi" is dead.She was said to have died after a brief illness.

Born on October 10, 1960, in Ilu Ola, Kwara State, Orisabunmi went to Ilu Ola Primary School and Secondary Commercial College.

Prince Jide Kosoko, who confirmed her death to The PUNCH on Wednesday, expressed grief and prayed to God for the repose of her soul.

Kosoko, who described her " as a thoroughbred actress. She was an amazon in the industry and we respected and valued her for her contribution. She gave her all to her career and she was recognised for her worth.”


Her death came months after the demise of her former husband, Jimoh Aliu, otherwise called Aworo, under whose tutelage she rose to prominence in the film industry.
