POLICE: DISGRACEFUL CONDUCT OF NGOZI BRAIDE...BY SANDRA DURU

Our dear gallant, patriotic, detribalized and ever-dynamic IGP, we sincerely hope that all is well with you and your new wife, Zarha Bunu? We 're sorry that we had to make this letter an open matter; apologies; it was borne out of the bureaucratic inconvenience of your office.
Dear lovely IGP, we wish to bring to your notice of the bizarre idiosyncrasy of Ms Ngozi Braide, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Lagos State command and the unethical conduct of your officers in Lagos State command.
Ngozi, a young woman saddled with the responsibility of laundering the image of the Police institution in Lagos State is currently destroying the institution she's being heavily paid to defend with her youthful exuberance, arrogance, incompetence, etc.
Sir, without much ado, the ordeals of one of our friends in the hands of Ngozi Braide and some of her happy-trigger officers in Lagos State, goes as thus:
The beginning of the illegality, the exhibition of unprofessionalism and recklessness by the Lagos Police Command under the supervision of Ngozi Braids, Lagos State PPRO:
Sir, our friend, Mr. Abragahou Aminu, a Lagos based french teacher, while trekking along Ketu-Ojota road on Tuesday 19th November, 2013, saw an ugly incident between two Police officers (a policeman and a policewoman both in uniform) and a commercial driver. Aminu, being a man with a high level alertness, brought out his mobile handset and started recording/snapping the public show of shame.
However, a police officer saw Aminu when he was recording the incident and pounced on him. Aminu was mercilessly beaten by the policeman for recording public unrest. He was initially detained at the Ketu Police station. When we contacted Ngozi Braide, Lagos PPRO to intervene, she insulted us, saying that she had been looking for a scape goat amongst Nigerians that do record the illegal activities of the Nigerian Police. Ngozi banged the call and the next we heard was that Aminu has been transferred from Ketu police station to the Lagos PPRO, then to Ikeja police Area "F" command. All these happened simply because Aminu used his mobile phone to record an incident between a commercial driver and a-team of police officers.
Aminu's phone was seized on the order of Ngozi, the Lagos PPRO while the policeman fighting with the commercial driver was released unconditionally while the innocent teacher, Mr Abrangahou Aminu was detained up till saturday 23rd November before he was arraigned at a Magistrate Court in Yaba, Lagos. More also, we wish to inform you that the commercial driver that a policeman was having a public show of shame with, was not detained for a second.
The cruel incarceration of Aminu and the exhibition of lawlessness by Ngozi Braide, Lagos PPRO:
Dear IGP, as stated above, Aminu was arrested on Tuesday 19th November, 2013 and kept in four different police detention cells before his kangaroo Arraignment on Saturday 23rd November, 2013. All moves made by us to secure the release of Aminu on bail were rejected by your men in Lagos command acting to the instruction of Ngozi Braids, Lagos PPRO. Aminu was first arbitrarily detained at Ketu Police Station, from Ketu, he was transferred to the PPRO's office where he was harassed for hours. From PPRO's office, the innocent Aminu was transferred to Area F detention cell, and from Area F to X-squad cell. All these acts of injustice and unprofessionalism were perpetrated by your men simply because a man was caught recording an incident with his mobile phone!
Sir, may we bring to your notice that the police possesses no power to keep an accused in custody for more than 48 hours at most. May we also remind you that the PPRO's office is not meant for the tourtoring of an accused. May we also inform you that the X-squad detention cell that Aminu was detained for about 96 hours wasn't meant for civilians but for that of undisciplined/errand officers.
Sir, it might interest you to note that while at Ngozi Braide's mini-detention room, Aminu was compelled to re-write his statement under duress to suit Ngozi Braids. He was made to write an apology letter, which he did after he has been irresponsibly threatened/tortured. Aminu was also given a letter of apology to sign which he did under duress. His phone was seized, cloth was torn and most of the vital information related to this case which he stored on his phone memory were deleted except one photo, all in order to cover up the unprofessional acts of your men.
Sir, may we also inform you that Ngozi Braids said she consider it as disservice to the Police force for civilians to be recording their activities while Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah could not be sanctioned for buying armoured cars. Ngozi also averred that the police had been looking for a scape goat amongst Nigerians that do record their acts of unprofessionalism. Ngozi claimed that uploading the corrupt and immoral activities of the Police on the social, print and electronic media is disservice to the nation! Dear IGP, to us, we consider Ngozi's affirmations as reckless and irresponsible!
The hues and cries about Aminu's nationality:
Dear IGP, may we inform you that your officers in Lagos under the supervision of PPRO Ngozi Braide arrogantly claimed that Aminu possesses no constitutional right to record the incident leading to his unlawful incarceration and unlawful detention simply because he is a Togolese. Sir, your officers, out of ignorant, have forgotten that Togo is a West Africa country, hence, he possesses diplomatic immunity, freedom of movement and trade as entrenched by the law of the economic community of west African states (ECOWAS). In addition to that, Aminu's ECOWAS passport is valid and yet to expire. His residential and working permits are valid.
The questionable arraignment of Aminu at Magistrate court:
Dear IGP, after all the pleas and moves made by us and about 20 human rights journalists, lawyers and concerned Nigerians to have Aminu released on bail were curiously, unlawfully  rejected by Ngozi Braide with the aide of the Lagos Police Commissioner, Alhaji Umaru Tanko, Aminu was sadly arranged in court on Saturday 23rd November, 2013.
Alas, our team of lawyers secured the bail of Aminu but no one was on ground to sign his bail paper.
It is an incontrovertible fact that Saturday is not a working day in Nigeria. Sir, we make bold to avow that Aminu was arraigned on Saturday in order for your men to have ample of opportunities to suffer him the more in their detention cell thereby causing him more mental, psychological and emotional traumas.
Furthermore, may we inform you that when we met with the Police Commissioner (CP) over Aminu's ordeal, we discovered that Ngozi Braids had satanically lied against him. The C.P said Aminu would not be released because we had alerted well-meaning Nigerians about his ordeal via social media. Sir, may we ask that when has it become an offence to run/alert/cry/report to the public via the social media? When has it become a crime for one to exercise his/her rights to speech and expression?
Our charter of demands:
Dear IGP, having patriotically and moderately perused and exposed the unethical and unprofessional display of your officers in Lagos, we hereby give your esteemed institution 7 days, starting from today to meet the following demands or risk a never-seen-before mass and court actions (lawfully):
(1). immediate removal of Ngozi Braids as the Police public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Lagos State. We also demand for her immediate demotion as she has proven to be Immatured. Ngozi Braids has also proved that she deserves not the exalted position she currently holds.
(2). Immediate withdraw of the suit against Mr. Aminu Abragahou as he did nothing wrong to warrant being prosecuted and persecuted. Attempting to expose illegality, absurdity, immorality and unprofessionalism doesn't warrant being caged.
(3). Immediate arrest and prosecution of the police officers who arrested Aminu in Ketu. The police officers who were involved in the show of shame with a commercial driver that Aminu was recording in Ketu should also be arrested and prosecuted.
(4). Having suffered enormous psychological, emotional and mental humiliations in the hands of the men of Nigeria Police Force, we demand that the Nigeria Police should adequately compensate Mr. Aminu Abragahou as he has lost his teaching job during his ongoing ordeal. It will amount to a crime against humanity should Aminu's heavily pregnant wife be allowed to suffer.
Lastly sir, may we conclude this letter by reminding you of the words of Martin Luther King which says that "In the end, we 'll remember not only the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends." Sir, May we also remind you of the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson which goes as thus: "all lives are interrelated, we are being caught up in an inescapable network of mutuality and tied up in a single garment of one destiny; whatever affects one directly affect all indirectly"
Dear IGP, consequent upon the above words of marble from Ralph Waldo Emerson and Martin Luther King, we wish to remind you that injustice anywhere, is Injustice everywhere!
Dear IGP sir, as the outstanding Man of the year 2013 (an award you recently bagged in Abuja), we put it to you that we 're anxiously awaiting your quick response to this letter. Sir, may we remind you that both the words and silence of our friends shall be remembered when divine judgement is being delivered.
Thanks and God bless.

LAW-MAKER'S DEATH: A CASE OF ADULTERY AND MYSTERIES

Raphael Oloye Nomiye, 50, was until his death a member of the House of Representatives representing Ondo, Ilaje, Ese Odo in Ondo State under the platform of the Labour Party.

According to source, the lawmaker was said to have died shortly after an affair with the banker (names withheld). It was gathered that said the banker, who managed his accounts, was said to have rushed down for the one-storey building to inform the policemen on guard at the house that “oga just fell down and is vomiting blood.”

Mr. Nomiye, whom the policemen that entered into the room where the incident occurred said, ‘they found him lying on the floor with a towel tied round his waist, while he bled from the mouth. He was then quickly taken to a private clinic but the doctors at clinic declined to attend to him, saying it was a “serious” matter, following which he was then rushed to the National Hospital, Abuja, where he was later pronounced dead.

Hyelhira Altine, the spokesperson of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command, confirmed the incidents and disclosed that the banker, is now in police custody at the Gwarinpa Police Division.

Meanwhile, the banker who earlier denied having sexual affair with the lawmaker before his death was said to have changed her statement after doctors at the National Hospital conducted an examination on corpse, which confirmed that the deceased had slept with a woman shortly before his demise.

‘’The banker admitted to interrogators that she had actually slept with the deceased and had helped him to clean up, following which he went into the bathroom, where he suddenly fell and began to vomit blood’’ police said.

It was also revealed that although the late lawmaker was married, his wife and children were not living with him in Abuja, but two of her professional friends, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the banker and Raphael had been friends.

PROSTITUTION: 200 NIGERIAN GIRLS ARE TRAFFICKED EVERY MONTH TO RUSSIA !

Prostitution is the business or practice of engaging in sexual relations, especially in a promiscuous way, in exchange for payment in money or other things of value. A person who works in this field is called a prostitute and is a kind of sex-worker.

Prostitution is one of the branches of the sex industry and Nigeria has become a major exporter of women for prostitution. 60% of prostitutes in Italy and Belgium are Nigerian. It was gathered that Nigeria also has highest victims of forced labour and prostitution.

It will be recalled that Ike Ekweremadu, deputy president proposed a bill to legalize prostitution in Nigeria some time ago! This  is a  very embarrassing  bill coming  from  an elected Senator that suppose to legislate for a good and live changing laws for its citizens,  instead he was proposing Prostitution Bill !

The Nigeria ambassador to Russia, Asam Ekanem Asam, spoke against the backdrop of consular challenges faced by the embassy, disclosed that no fewer than 200 Nigerian girls are trafficked every month to Russia for prostitution from Nigeria. He disclosed this in an interview with a European Correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria in Berlin.

“The major consular challenge we face in Moscow is the influx of trafficked persons from Nigeria, as not less than 200 girls are trafficked every month, and we have so many of them exposed to danger. Some are even thrown out of the window and treated harshly. There must be a way of stopping these racketeering; these girls are not tourists, students or government officials yet they are given visas from the Russian embassy in Abuja. So far we have deported over 240 girls since 2012. You will be shocked at the extent of resistance from the girls; when we tell them Russia is not a destination for prostitutes, yet they still come,” Mr. Asam said.

Mr. Ambassador explained that in order to curb the menace, the mission is now arranging deportation exercise for those caught, but the challenges are enormous. However, Mr. Asama said that: “the strategy is to stop them from Nigeria, and fish out those involved in the trade. For instance a well known Russian human trafficker who has been in the trade for about 20 years was caught in Nigeria. The National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons( NAPTIP) was on the verge of releasing her before I filed in a protest from Moscow to the Comptroller General of Immigration,”

“I spoke to the mother of one of the girls and she said her daughter should remain in Moscow and try to survive the ordeal. This is indeed very sad, coming from one’s parent, “He said.

Mr. Asam, however tasked the media on sensitizing the public on the dangers of trafficking in Russia, saying “this Eastern European nation has become a new destination for them, and believe me it is a very big crime here.

However, due to the high level corruption, greed, egoism, nepotism, and I don’t care attitude of Nigeria political leaders, our daughters have become survival sex workers in countries abroad.

The simple reason for ‘Survival sex’ is when the prostitute is driven to prostitution by a need for basic necessities such as food or shelter.

NDI IGBO ARE PLAYING ETHNIC POLITICS AND HATRED......JOE IGBOKWE

Engr. Joe Igbokwe, All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain descended heavily on Ndi Igbo, predicting that they would pay a heavy price for their alleged ‘shameless and selfish politics’.

“For playing ethnic politics and hatred we wait to see how this will help Ndigbo Igbo want to rule Nigeria but shameless and selfish politics will not allow them to build alliances and networks with others who will vote for Igbo candidate. We have been building alliances with Yoruba since 1985 to rescue Nigeria but people like you soaked in primordial sentiments and ethnic preoccupation will not let it work. APGA controls one state out of 36 states and yet you want to produce the president of Nigeria. You have NOT asked yourself why Yoruba abandoned ACN for APC, why the North left CPC and ANPP for APC. The world is leaving Igbo behind because of people like you and their lazy politics. It will take a book to educate you but you can start by going to look for my books for you to know more. You people hurt Igbo with your useless politics of blaming others for the problems you created for yourselves. If a writer is silent he is lying.”Joe Igbokwe said.

He made this statement while reacting to the fate that befell his party’s candidate, Senator Chris Ngige, in last weekend’s governorship election in his home state, Anambra.
Ngige scored 92,300 votes, came third in the controversial results so far released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), behind Chief Willie Obiano (174,710 votes) of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Comrade Tony Nwoye (94,956 votes) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Igbokwe who wrote on his Facebook wall that the election was rigged said:  “Wait until the world know how you (Willie Obiano) won 16 LGAs. The shame has become so much that the man (Willie Obiano) who claimed he won 16 LGAs cannot muster the courage to even celebrate his stolen victory. Ikewelugo wait until INEC daze you facts and figures of how its Officials compromised and sold to APGA.’’

BOKO HARAM:UNIVERSITY DON ARRESTED IN KOGI, NIGERIA

A university don Dr. Muhammad Nazeef Yunus, who allegedly acts as Recruitment Co-ordinator of the Boko Haram sect and four other members Umar Musa, Head of Operations/Instructor; Munzir Mustapha Yusuf, a.k.a Habib, Armourer/Chief courier; Ismail Abdulazeez, foot soldier and Ibrahim Isa, a.k.a ‘One in town’ another foot soldier were paraded by the operative of State Security Services in Abuja.

The Deputy Director, Public Relations, Department of State Service, Marilyn Ogar, who paraded the suspected Boko Haram members said their plot was botched when two members of the sect who were on their way to Borno State for training in weapons handling were arrested at Zuba, on the outskirts of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.

However, Dr. Yunus, who until his arrest was a  an assistant lecturer in the Department of Islamic Studies, Kogi State University, Ayingba in Kogi State, insisted that his involvement was a frame-up. “My Islamic preaching had always been against the activities of the Boko Haram sects, but I was shocked when the other suspects insisted that I was a member and the one that recruited them into the sect. I have never been a member of Boko Haram for one minute in my life, I even preach against them,” he said.

Meanwhile, One of the suspects said he joined the group in May and was employed by the sect on a salary of N50,000 per month; while Mustapha Yusuf, who was allegedly trained at Sambisa camp in Maiduguri, Borno State said “the university lecturer appointed me as the armorer and chief courier of the group and handed two AK-47 rifles with 30 rounds of live ammunition to me for safe keeping after I returned to Kogi State shortly after military invasion of our camp in Borno State”.

The other two foot soldiers Ismail Abdulazeez, and Ibrahim Isa, a.k.a ‘One in town’ also corroborated Munzir Mustapha claimed that Dr. Yunus indoctrinated them into the Boko Haram sect by preaching to them when they approached him to help them secure admission into the Kogi State University, Ayingba.

The SSS spokeswoman in her briefing then enjoined all Nigerians to be vigilant. She said: “We want to enjoin all Nigerians to be vigilant and continue to cooperate with security agencies through the provision of useful information of suspicious activities within their immediate environment; and she urged parents who send their children for Islamic teaching after school, to be very careful of the people they choose as their teachers and  they should take time to investigate the teachings so as to ensure that their children were not being taught what the parents did not practice.

TWO EVIL SPIRITS OPERATE IN ENUGU GOVT.HOUSE:MADNESS &WIFE SACKING

Below are the chronological happening at the  Enugu State Government House  that has always been associated with acts that suggests cycles of wife hostage, wife sacking and wifeless tenures of governors, in the heart of Igbo Kingdom.

Jim Nwobodo remained wifeless in the Lion Building throughout his tenure, the reason been that his first wife never surfaced at government house.  and daughters of eve struggled for his attention. Immediately after he left he married his former girl friend, Patricia, and they have lived happily after.

Christian.C Onoh, Bianca Ojukwu’s father, who succeeded Jim Nwobodo, never accepted that he had any First Lady. Though his tenure, he was man alone and ran his government without any input from his wife, Caroline. The madam first lady was confined to her village  in Ngwo.

Chimaraoke Nnamani who got elected as governor after Christian.C Onoh, had a sweet affair with her pretty Nnena, until he entered into the Lion Building and the way he treated the mother of two changed. Around early 2000, when the wife complained to people that the office of the First lady is not functional and that the governor has refused to release any money for her to run her office.

She accused the governor’s chief spiritualist Kate Ene, also known as Ada Nkanu, of collecting all the money meant for the governor’s kitchen and assigning her daughter as the governor’s chef and executive maid. Soon the issue degenerated to the extent that she does not attend functions without the strict permission of the governor. She at times moves about with bruised faces and people rumoured that she might have been manhandled.

Sooner than later, she was partially restricted from moving about except for some shopping. The Lion Building became her boring confinement and the real problems started for Nnenna. She was sent packing to the United States, behold, another woman, a young girl of about twenty, replaced her. The new wife, beautiful Nkemdirim Ene, daughter of the governor’s chief spiritualist, Kate Eneh, became the First Lady until Chimaraoke handed over to Chime in 2007
Furthermore, Chimaraoke sacked the second wife because her mother, Kate Eneh  couldn’t divine spiritually that Sullivan will be a bad investment

Sullivan Chime became governor without wife in 2007, because the first wife  walked out of the marriage. His’ rush-rush’ marriage to Clara Chime, young, beautiful and ebullient, seemed rosy .
The crack in the marriage started when Clara accused the all powerful Chief of Staff, Ifeoma Nwobodo, over allegations of husband snatching, at a PDP function, shortly before the 2011 elections.
According to sources, the lady Chief of Staff swore to teach Clara a lesson and ensure that she is eventually bundled out of government house.  The source said that the  governor has more regard for the Lady Chief of staff who helps her in  running the state than the First Lady and anyone who challenges her is in trouble, and Clara realized too late that her husband has lost interest in her. That the ‘Sisi’ Clara was finally sent packing from Enugu Government House some days ago is no longer news.

The next governor of Enugu state really needs a serious prayer in order to break the spell of wife midway .wife hostage, disenfranchised and ultimately sacked. This is the cycle of wife hostage, wife sacking, wifeless tenure, madness and hallucinatory conditions  that constitute a distraction to the business of governance.

LASTMA OFFICIAL CAUGHT ON VIDEO CAMERA IS ON THE RUN

Governor Babatunde Fashola, of Lagos State has vowed to arrest and prosecute the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, (LASTMA) official (Mr. Michael Ekundayo) caught negotiating bribe inside a citizen’s car whom the governor said had brought disgrace to the outfit.
“I want to first salute the citizen that got the video of the LASTMA officer who was caught negotiating bribe inside a citizen’s car. We must all nail and shame him and we must all use that kind of medium to fish out all the bad eggs in the society and bring them to justice.

Mr. Michael Ekundayo, who is now on the run, was caught on video collecting N8,000 bribe from a motorist

Governor Babatunde Fashola, while addressing  a gathering of professionals and respectable members of the society who constitute volunteers of the Special Traffic Mayor said:  “That LASTMA officer is still on the run and we have declared him wanted. I can assure you today that we will get him. And as soon as we do, we will give him all his rights and he will have his day in court,” he vowed.

On LASTMA, the governor pointed out that its primary responsibility was to keep the state traffic moving, stressing that “this is the reason why the agency exists. Arresting traffic offenders is secondary. If making an arrest will increase the traffic, let the offenders go. I say this not because I don’t want law breakers to be apprehended and brought to justice. But law breakers cannot undermine our main objective.

“The longer people stay more in traffic, the more money is wasted and fuel is burnt and when people stay more in traffic, this leads to increase in the price of goods in the state. But with a moving traffic, price of goods will be stable.”

Fashola explained that the challenge of managing traffic in Lagos State necessitated the need for the meeting with the Special Traffic Mayors, while stressing the need to pay attention to road safety measures for the betterment of all.
