PHOTOS: NIGERIAN SOLDIERS ACCUSED OF TRAINING SOLDIERS IN MUFTIS & BATHROOM SLIPPERS !!!

Aljazeerah, last night, shared a video on its Facebook page where a man who claimed to be a Nigerian soldier shared photos of soldiers attached to the 3rd armored division training in ‘bathroom slippers’,’ colored dress’ and without uniforms at the Nigerian Army Training Center in Katangura, Niger state.

The soldier who shared the photos, claimed to be one of the reinstated soldiers who was fired before for refusing to fight Boko Haram however, refused to reveal his identity for fear of being sacked or court-marshaled.

"How can someone be training with his bathroom slippers? How could someone be training in his ordinary clothes? None of us having rifle. None of us having uniform. Majority of soldiers are hungry"he said....

He accused the military hierarchy of stealing the budget of the military
"I beleive the government released the money but it is unfortunate that some people have decided that that is the only way of making their million"he said
However the Chief of rmy staff, Lt. Gen Tukur Buratai says soldiers do not necessarily have to always train in their uniforms.

"You dont have to always train in your uniform. The ethics is been dispatched to their units for them to be relocated and to be rearmed"he said
The soldier also said that the homes where their wives and children stay lack electricity, good toilet facility or running water.

MAN SPENDS 20 YEARS ON DEATH ROW FOR MURDER OF A MAN WHO WAS ALIVE

This is very annoying, pathetic and barbaric case. Mpagi Edward Edmary,an Ugandan taxi driver, was sentenced to death in 1992 for the brutal murder of his neighbor that never was. But not only was Edward an innocent man, there hadn’t even been a murder!

Edward had been framed after a land dispute between families in the village got out of hand. Witnesses were bribed to say they had seen him kill the man and dispose of the body.

He spent the next 20 years in Kampala’s notorious Luzira prison and was only released when his family proved that the dead man had been hiding out in another part of the country!

As Edward says, “In Uganda, conditions for death row prisoners are cruel, degrading, and inhumane. We were always denied medicines. There were lice, flies, and other vermin in the prison, and this resulted in many illnesses – and many prisoners died from these illnesses.

Life is terrible on death row in Uganda, Africa. No one was ever given any notice that they would be executed. Each time we were taken by complete surprise. We lived in complete fear of any unusual activity from the wardens…..

WOMAN BATTERED AND THROWN OUT BY HUSBAND FOR REFUSING TO TAKE CUSTODY OF MISTRESS CHILD

Mrs. Sinmiat Omowumi Ogunbanjo, a mother of four was on Sallah day, battered by her husband, Jimmy Omotalabo Ogunbanjo, 40, a staff of Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, Abeokuta, Ogun State after she refused to take custody of a baby delivered by her husband's mistress.

According to report, he told her that he brought the child to her to nurse because the mistress could not take proper care of the baby. Omowumi asked him to return the baby to the mother because she was not ready to nurse or take custody of the baby. Several family members, including her mother-in-law, Ganiyat Ogunbanjo pleaded with her to take custody of the baby but she refused.

Her refusal to accept the child led to an argument and in the process Jimmy and other members of the family allegedly battered her and threw her out of her matrimonial home.

Omowumi, who was seriously injured, reported the assault to the police who told her it was a family matter and sent her away. Following the development, Omowumi contacted a lawyer, Barrister, Olufemi Ajiboso who petitioned the Ogun State Commissioner of Police and the management of FRSC Ogun State Command, her husband’s employer.

Ajiboso, who confirmed the incident, said what happened to Omowumi was a clear case of inhumanity to man and an assault not only on the victim but women in general. He said Omowumi informed him that her husband had subjected her to all sorts of ill treatment since he married her and she had been enduring it because of her children.

14-YEAR OLD GIRL SUSPECTED TO HAVE FLED WITH 40-YEAR OLD LOVER

Rosemary, just 14, who was on Monday, September 8, rescued by officials of the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (MWAPA) from the apartment of her alleged lover, Chukwu Nkenna, 40, at Obelle Junction, Surulere, Lagos, has reportedly gone missing again.

The teenager was said to have met Nkenna in the Surulere around January 2015 and moved in with him. The Surulere Police Division had on Friday, August 21, arrested Nkenna after neighbours filed a report alleging he was sexually abusing the teenager. The matter has since been transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation (SDCI), Yaba, on Monday, August 24.

Subsequently, the police at SDCI reportedly released Nkenna while the victim was asked to seek medical attention. Rosemary, afterwards, went back to continue living with her lover and the matter was said to have also been brought to the attention of MWAPA, which sent its officials to take the girl from the suspect’s house on September 8.

The agency reportedly billed the 14-year-old to go to a government rehabilitation centre, but she opted to stay in the Agege area with her uncle. However, on September 13, Rosemary reportedly sneaked out of her uncle’s apartment in Agege, and had since not been found Efforts to find Rosemary have proved abortive.

Following the search, Nkenna’s apartment in Surulere was allegedly raided but she was not found. Nkenna was also said to have travelled out of Lagos State, and was unavailable for comment. Rosemary’s uncle, who identified himself as Benjamin, said, "When Nkenna was initially arrested by the police and taken to SDCI, the police failed to follow up the matter. They released him, and said we should allow the girl to marry the man since they were both lovers. I was not happy with the way they treated that case. When they asked the two of them to go home, she returned to Nkenna’s house until she was taken from the apartment by government officials.

Days later, she fled, and since that time, we have been looking for her. She called one of my brothers two days ago, but she did not tell us where she was staying. We assumed she was with the suspect. We do not have Nkenna’s number. So, we cannot reach him." Benjamin added that Nkenna must have given his niece love potion and appealed to the the state government to rearrest him.

"There was a time that Nkenna called the family with Rosemary’s number, and we asked him to show up, but he refused. We are still looking for her." An unnamed official of MWAPA in Alausa, confirmed that the ministry was handling the case, adding that the director of the Child Protection Unit was unavailable for comment.

"The case was reported to the unit by an NGO, and we are working on it. The director is not around to talk on it," the official said The Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) Joe Offor, said investigation was ongoing on the matter. He said the case was at the SDCI, and that they are investigating alleged rape.

"The police do not get involved in cases of relationships and marriages. If the girl is a minor, the police know she cannot give a valid consent. However, the girl’s family should find out where their daughter is and let the police know so we can assist in recovering her. Offor said. "If the suspect is given an administrative bail, he will come back on the day he is asked to report. If he does not show up, then we know what to do" he added.

NOATALGIA: UMARU DIKKO..... FOILED HIGH PROFILE KIDNAP PLOT

Umaru Abdulrahman Dikko (1936-2014), Lawyer, Nigerian politician, was born in Wamba and educated in Zaria in Nigeria's northern Kaduna state. Schooled at London University bagged a Bachelor of Science degree and worked for some time with the BBC's Hausa-language service.

Alhaji Umaru Dikko , became a household name in Britain and Nigeria  in the summer of 1984 when men said to be from the Israeli secret service ‘Mossad’ and the Nigerian government of the day conspired to kidnap him in a large wooden crate.

During the second republic (1979-83), Dikko played prominent roles in the government, as special adviser to President Sheu Shagari, transport minister and head of the presidential task force on rice. After the military coup on 31 December 1983, the Shagari government was overthrown, Dikko then fled into exile in London.

The new military regime accused him of large-scale corruption while in office as head of the presidential task force on rice in particular of embezzling millions of dollars from the nation’s oil revenues. The accusations he denied.

On the 5th July, 1984, Dikko was seized outside his house in London, bundled into a van and taken to Stansted Airport in Essex, where a Nigerian Boeing 707 cargo aircraft waited to repatriate him to face charges of corruption brought against him in Lagos. His captors handcuffed him, drugged him, and stuffed him in chains into the crate with a doctor by his side maintaining a tube to keep him breathing.

According to report, the doctor and another of his captors, a diamond trader, were Israelis; the other two, a Nigerian ex-army major and a Tunisian-born shopkeeper. The other men climbed into a second wooden crate. Only when all were waiting take-off did a telephone call by suspicious British customs officers to the Foreign Office discover that the two crates, each four and a half feet by five and a half in size, did not have diplomatic clearance.

Customs officials were told to open the crates in the presence of an official Nigerian government representative. The crates were searched and the men discovered. Dikko was whisked to hospital in Bishop's Stortford, where he woke up unharmed after remaining unconscious all night, and his captors arrested.

The doctor and the shopkeeper were later sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment, the Israeli organizer of the snatch to 14 years, and the Nigerian military man to 12 years. The men lost appeals to have their sentences reduced.

Neither Nigeria nor Israel ever admitted taking part in the only-just-thwarted effort to avoid the time-consuming process of securing Dikko's extradition to Nigeria, but both countries were referred to in Parliament as having been involved, for reasons that would remain shrouded in mystery. The Nigerian High commissioner was expelled from Britain and two expatriate British engineers working in Nigeria were accused of stealing an aircraft. They were sentenced to 14 years' imprisonment, and for the next few years relations between Britain and Nigeria were frosty. The two were freed three years later.

Dikko told an interviewer two months after his ordeal: "I was warned all the time... but I had to live. I had to go out." He remembered seeing his abductors staring at him: "The stare sent a shock through me. I was on foot, alone... they grabbed me and held me... they banged me against the van. I hurt my back."

"I remember the very violent way in which I was grabbed and hurled into a van, with a huge fellow sitting on my head - and the way in which they immediately put on me handcuffs and chains on my legs," he told the BBC a year later.

The heroine of the moment had been Dikko's secretary, Elizabeth Hayes, who saw the snatch and her boss being put into a yellow van, and called police. She also managed to tell Dikko by sending a message on his electronic pager, which he received just before being chemically knocked out. "It was a great relief," Dikko said. "Then they jabbed me [injected the drug] and sat on me." He later added: "It was so tight it was as if a knife was cutting through my wrists... They tied my hands and my ankles together. I was bent double."

He stayed in Britain until being invited back to Nigeria by President Goodluck Jonathan under more clement conditions. He was chairman of the disciplinary committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria. He died in London after a series of strokes. His son, Dr Bello Dikko, survives him.

LAWLESSNESS LAWMAKER: OGUN LAWMAKER ACCUSSED OF SCHOOL CERTIFICATE FORGERY & PERJURY

Ogun State lawmaker, Adeleye Adewale Adebiyi, has been accused of  “intentionally presented a forged Secondary School Leaving Certificate and [an Ordinary National Diploma] OND certificate to [the] Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), lied about his age, and made false declaration before the Commissioner of Oath in Ogun State in December 2014.”
The petition, which was signed and dated September 16, 2015  by Prince Wasiu, stated that the lawmaker committed the forgery in filling out his personal information in INEC Form CF-001, a copy of which the petitioners attached.
According to the petition, the lawmaker falsely claimed to have attended Ode Remo Community High School from 1986 to 1993, and that he earned an OND from Federal College of Freshwaters Fisheries Technology in New Bussa, Niger State. The petition disclosed that the state legislator then attached a School Leaving Certificate and National Diploma examination result instead of certificates.
The petition disclosed that the majority of residents of Remo North constituency already knew that Mr. Adebiyi’s claims were false. Even so, the petitioners told the Ogun State Commissioner of Police that they carried out a formal investigation that established that the lawmaker “actually attended SAAPADE GRAMMAR SCHOOL from 1986-1991,” instead of his false claim “to have attended Ode Remo High School from 1986 to 1993.”
The petition suggested that the lawmaker left SAAPADE in controversial circumstances, hence his desire to “conceal and lie to INEC about the actual school he attended.”
The petitioners enclosed several documents showing that the lawmaker was a student at SAAPADE, including a response from the principal of the school and a copy of Mr. Adebiyi’s admission register, confirming that the lawmaker “was admitted into SAAPADE in 1986, JSS1 (Class 1), and left the same school in 1991 at SS2.”
The petitioners also accused the principal of Ode Remo High School of colluding with the legislator by issuing him a fraudulent certificate aimed at misleading INEC and voters. “Could the accused have attended two secondary schools at the same time between the same period of 1986-1992? It is our opinion that the current principal of Ode Remo High School is an accomplice, in this case, helping him forge and falsify the records,” Mr. Wasiu wrote. The petition stated that the current principal of SAAPADE School admitted that he had once taught the lawmaker in an English class, adding that several alumni of the school were “willing to testify that they were classmates at SAAPADE and were both admitted into JSS1 (Class 1) in 1986.”
The petition also included evidence that Mr. Adebiyi inadvertently exposed his own lie when he recently hosted a meeting of the 1986-1992 sets of the Old Students Association of SAAPADE Grammar School. Mr. Wasiu enclosed a copy of the official minutes of the meetings of the Old Student Association held on April 19, 2014, August 2, 2014, and August 1, 2015, proving that Mr. Adebiyi was a “bona fide, founding and financial member of the Association.”
The petitioners also provided some documents to demonstrate that the lawmaker never earned the National Diploma he claimed to have received from a polytechnic. “Under the ‘Freedom of Information Act (F.O.I) 2011,’ we requested to know if truly he graduated from the institution, and to know on what basis or result he was admitted, if at all the ND result was authentic,” the petitioners wrote, adding that the polytechnic’s registrar, H.M. Baboko, wrote them to confirm that there was no record of Mr. Adebiyi in the school’s archives.
Noting that Mr. Adebiyi’s forged school certificate identified him as an “arts” student, the petitioners wondered how the legislator could have gained admission to a polytechnic solely focused on science courses.
According to the petitioner, Mr. Adebiyi was known to be a full-time photography apprentice at a local photo shop in Isara, his hometown, in 2000, the same year “he claimed to have finished ND.”
The petitioners urged the state police command to investigate the lawmaker’s claims to ascertain from the Federal Polytechnic that he had never attended the school. They also accused Mr. Adebiyi of lying about his date of birth.
“He failed to provide his original birth certificate to INEC but claimed to be born on 16th of July 1974. However, his original registered date of birth is 17th of December 1974,” said the petitioners. They added Mr. Adebiyi’s correct date of birth could be verified from his primary school record at archive, Wesley Primary School, Isara, which is part of his admission register at SAAPADE Grammar School as well as on his international passport.
The petition also accused the lawmaker of fraudulently and knowingly declaring and signing a false declaration before the Commissioner of Oath on December 15, 2014.
The petitioners observed that Mr. Adebiyi had committed criminal offenses punishable under Chapter 43 and 44 of the Criminal Code of Nigeria. They also noted that the Nigerian constitution “states that a person is not qualified to be a member of the State Assembly” if he has presented forged certificates to INEC.
The petition was copied to the Nigerian President, the Inspector General of Police, the chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission, and the chairperson of the Ogun State chapter of the Nigerian Bar Association.
In response to the petition, Mr. Adebiyi mobilizing his aides and thugs to the Nigerian Union ofTeachers Hall in Abeokuta to abduct his accusers.
In broad day light,  Adebiyi watched as thugs loyal to him kidnaped Taiwo Gbadebo and Okiki Ola. Shortly after the abduction of the petitioner, Mr. Adebiyi posted photos of the abduction on his Facebook page, bragging that he had nabbed the fellows that defamed him. He later dumped his victims at the police station in Ibara -Abeokuta where they will be charged by police for defaming Mr. Adebiyi.

EMIR SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI'S 18-YEAR OLD QUEEN plus SOME NIGERIAN BIG MEN WHO MARRIED TO YOUNGER BABES

Recently media have gone agog with the news that Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi took an 18-year old "wench" for a wife. What an insult! Is it now a crime to get marry to a younger girl in Nigeria? When lady in question is 18 and therefore legally of age to marry under all laws and certainly under Muslim law. What is a big deal about all this even?

Tony Anenih 81, aka Mr. Fix It, chieftain of the PDP, got married to young lady who is in her early twenties, amidst pomp and pageantry, heaven never falls.

Billionaire businessman, RazaqOkoya, hooked up with a younger wife known as Shade. The couple whose union had produced four lovely kids, earlier got married in a quiet ceremony years back before having an elaborate wedding not too long ago.

Also, the Former Governor of Kogi State, Prince Audu recently got married to a far younger wife who is an undergraduate of University of Jos .

Ok, let me step-up, the paramount ruler of Oyo dynasty, Oba LamidiAdeyemi has shown his brides and showcased his delectable young wives to world in a shopping spree in UK as one of his ways of celebrating his 76th birthday recently!
Then what are we saying here? The point is not whether it's right or wrong. The point is, from the North to the South, West to East, they all do it. “We should be less hypocritical and stop feigning ignorance that we don't know that a lot of Nigerians politicians’ businessmen, Christians and Muslims alike are CHEETAH--meaning older men dating and marrying much younger women”.

MY HUSBAND NEVER BACKED MY RE-ELECTION INTO SENATE....REMI TINUBU

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, representing Lagos Central Senatorial District, has revealed that her re-election into the Senate did not get the backing of her husband, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. She made this revelation during the "Women in Government’ conference organised by the South-West Region of the Department For International Development, DFID in collaboration with the Office of the Deputy Governor of Lagos State on Tuesday September 29th.2015.

The former Lagos State First Lady noted that"Tinubu likes his wife to be at home and what is more confusing to me is that most Muslim men do not want their wives to work, but I am a hard worker’ and according to her, it was her district leaders who got the form for her and talked her husband into allowing her to run for the position.

“People have been saying that I got to this position because I am Asiwaju’s wife. What they did not realise is that in the past election, my husband asked me not to go for a second term. It was the leaders in my district that got me the form and talked to him that they wanted me to go back. You can go to my district, the elites might not know me but the grassroots are the ones supporting and voting massively for me. I think that is enough for me and that is how you can get elected, you have to really identify with your people; if really know your people, they will stand up for you,’’ she stated.
Tinubu noted that she worked hard in order to win the support of her constituency.

"When I got the bill to run for primaries, I told my husband that I needed money and he said no money. I fought with the people in my constituency because they said I have to give them more money and I said no, what about the ones I have been giving to you before? If you are not going to vote, so be it. They said that they were just voting for me because of Asiwaju and I responded that Asiwaju is not even supporting me, then, you can go and vote for him." She is however appreciative of their massive support.

"But I’m grateful they voted for me. I have realised that when you are elected, you have to go back and work with your constituency because that is where your support and vote rests,’’ she stated

CATHOLIC BISHOPS TELLS NIGERIANS TO STOP CONDEMNING HOMOSEXUALS & LESBIANS

The Catholic Bishop Conference of Nigeria, CBCN has appealed to Nigerians, especially Nigerian media to stop condemning homosexuals and Lesbians in Nigeria. The bishops stated this in an article titled “Still on Same-Sex Union and the Stand of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria”, which was shared by the group’s director of social communication, Chris Anyanwu.

According to the article, the bishops welcomed the Nigerian government's anti-gay law but they do not seek the punishment or jailing of persons who err but to help them unto salvation.

The excerpt:
“There is certainly an obsession by some journalists about ‘severe punishment of gays or lesbians’ and they try to twist the Bishops’ statements to articulate their views. Nigerian Catholic bishops are very responsible pastors who do not seek the punishment or jailing of persons who err, but to help them unto salvation. In wrongly reading the letter of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) in January 2015 to President Goodluck Jonathan, some international organizations mischievously reduced the CBCN position to advocating severe punishment of gays or lesbians with long prison terms. What the CBCN supported, blessed and commended in their letter of 21st January, 2015 to former President Goodluck Jonathan was because the Nigerian government upheld the dignity and sanctity of marriage even in the face of all sorts of pressure. When, therefore, the federal government resisted the attempt to impose this culture on Nigerians by legislating against ‘same-sex union’, the Catholic Bishops of Nigeria felt a sense of great relief and issued a statement to affirm government’s decision. The Archbishop Kaigama we know is a careful and pastorally-minded prelate who would not have used such words as: ‘shameful’, ‘barbaric’, ‘madness’, etc. to refer to anyone. Our stand was and is ‘no to same sex union’ and ‘no to spreading of the homosexual culture’ which can only complicate our struggle to uphold traditional/ religious/moral values in our country,” he said.

MUST READ STORY: WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ATTEPTING TO USE HER FRIEND'S TWINS FOR FRAUD

A woman simply identified as Victoria, was on Sunday September 27tth, arrested by police in Lagos for allegedly attempting to use the four-month old twins of Mrs Ruth Uche, whose husband fled after she gave birth to them, to defraud a retired police commissioner.

According to reports, Victoria who is a wife and mother of two is an acquaintance of the Uches and had asked that they "lend" her their twins so she could feature them in a movie. Unknown to the Uches, Victoria wanted to use their twins to extort money from the police chief who is the father of her ex lover.

Mrs Uche and Victoria arrived at the ex police chief's house at College Road Estate in Lagos. The man was so excited to see his "grandchildren" but when Victoria could not correctly state the sex of the babies, he became suspicious. Mrs Uche who also suspected foul play immediately owned up that they were her babies and provided facts regarding their age and when they were born

“I did not understand what was going on. I do not even know the place we went to. She has been pleading with us that she wanted to use the twins (youngest set) in a film. My husband initially denied but later since she said it was to act film; I begged my husband and he agreed on the condition that I go with the woman. So, around 11:30am on Sunday, we all left the house and came to Agege. She took us to one big man’s house, I do not know the place and she told me to sit down that it is she and the kids that will act the film. But when I sat down, I heard the man asking her whether my children are two boys and how old they are. She said two months and that they are boys but I told the man that they are a boy and a girl, and that they are four months old.

The man asked whose children they were and I told him they are my children and that the woman said she wanted to act film with them. That was when the man started shouting and saying that she told him that my children are his grandchildren. That she has sent their picture before and that she told him his son impregnated her before travelling abroad. The man now said that we were in it together and that I knew about it. I told him I do not know anything that the only thing she told us was that she wanted to act film with my babies. Before she did not want to talk, but when people threatened her, she now told them that I am innocent. That she wanted to get money from the man. That woman is a criminal,” Mrs Uche said.

When interrogated, the suspect said she wanted to use the twins to get money from the retired officer for her children’s school fees.

“Please I am sorry, have mercy on me. I am a poor widow and I have two children. I begged their parents that I wanted to act film with the twins and the twins’ father told his wife to follow me. I wanted to use them to collect money from the man because I used to date his son after I lost my husband. Before he travelled abroad last year, I got pregnant for him but I aborted the baby. So, because I needed money, I decided to use the twins and show his father so that I can get money from him and pay my children’s school fees. I did not plan to sell them and I did not know that things will turn out this way,” she said.

Contacted, the command spokesman, Joseph Offor, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), confirmed the woman’s arrest.

'WE ARE NOT GAYS'...MUGABE TELLS WORLD LEADERS @ UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY

President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, yesterday took his anti-gay campaign to the ongoing UN General Assembly where he bluntly told world leaders  that Africans are not gays and totally reject attempts to prescribe new  gay rights in Africa. Mugabe said:
