CRIME: POLICE ARRESTED A PASTOR WITH HUMAN SKULL IN OSUN STATE

Clement Oyetunde (pictured above) who claims to be a pastor with the Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Osun state was paraded by men of the Osun state police command yesterday October 9th after he was found with human skull and other charms at his church premises in the Adeowo area of Modakeke in Osun.

Clement claimed that a friend brought the skull to his house and buried it in his compound but that the spirit of the skull kept calling for it to be returned

"I am a pastor of the Cherubim and Seraphim, Oke-Itura parish, Adeowo area in Modakeke in Osun state. It was Wasiu that brought the skull to me, We buried it at my backyard. Wasiu left immediately and I don't know his where about, now.

Few days later, while I was asleep in the house, I hear strange voices singing and drumming in Christian way as if they were worshiping. The tune suddenly changed into traditional song and some invisible spirits started telling me that I should return the skull of Iya-Orun. They told me that the skull buried in my house was Mama Osun's skull and that the woman was from Ondo in Ondo state.

They insisted that I must return the skull and the noise was too much for me to bear as my head was swelling. That was why I ran out from the house and called for help so that the spirits would not kill me inside the house. It was then that the people in my area gathered and they eventually called the police" Clement said.

RONKE ODUSANYA: I NEITHER GOT ENGAGED NOR PLANNING TO GET MARRIED TO FEMI ANIBABA

Nollywood star Ronke Odusanya, aka Flakky Ididowo, who was rumoured to have married few days ago to her US-based lover, Femi Anibaba, debunked the rumoured in a press statement. Thus:

”I knew Femi back in 2008 through a very close friend who was in America then and not through actress Liz da Silva as is being speculated. When we met via phone, we got talking for while and I asked him what he does for a living and if he had a family,he told me he had children but was separated from his wife .

 I asked him why he was separated and he said things didn’t work out between them .we became friends and talked a lot on the phone and he always had time talking to me even very late American time. Gradually we got very close and I even met with his mum and siblings who lived in Lagos then but I still had my doubts about him then cos we had not seen each other eye to eye before and some men cannot be trusted .

 One day,I got a message on my Facebook from a lady called FOLAPE SOKOYA and she asked me “do you know anyone called FEMI ANIBABA” and I said yes “he is my friend” and she went on to say “please stop talking to him cos he is my husband and I’m carrying his third child  ” . I was very shocked and embarrassed, even though I had my doubts, I didn’t expect that kind of story.

 I immediately printed out the message and went to his people to show them and I called him and explained everything to him but he told me things were not going on well with both of them and asked me if I didn’t wonder how he had so much time talking to me and that even if I called him anytime of the day he always picked my calls.

 He said they both lived in the same house but each person minded his or her own business,when he was done I warned him never to call me again. Later in May 2012 I was in America and I received a mail from him saying he heard I was around and he would like to see me that he had issues to discuss with me,I refused to see him and he went on to say he needed me more than anything because his wife had left him and taken the kids away too.I refused to see him and that was it.

 When I got back to NIGERIA he still called severally and then I decided to talk to him and he told me he would buy me a ticket to come to his house and see things for myself,later in September that same year I went to America and saw that she had truly left him and ever since we got talking again.

 I AM NOT ENGAGED TO FEMI ANIBABA NEITHER AM I PLANNING TO GET MARRIED TO HIM.AS YOU READ THIS NOW WE ARE JUST FRIENDS I DONT KNOW ABOUT TOMORROW.

Please help me beg this woman not to rub my good name that I built over the years in mud . I did not snatch Femi Anibaba from her neither did I separate both of them,she is doing all this because she heard the marriage rumour and thought it is true and jumped in to use this opportunity to spoil my name without any evidence.

Simpson is said to be in fear and that he might be dying from a blood disease, The National ENQUIRER reports, and an HIV positive transs*xual named Jazmena Jameson tells the publication she might have passed on the virus to the incarcerated athlete-actor, dishing intimate details of their trysts.

BREAKING NEWS: MALALA YOUSAFZAY AND KAILASH SATYARTHI WON 2014 NOBEL PEACE PRIZE

Malala Yousafzai , Pakistani, teenage education campaigner shot on school bus in 2012 by a Taliban gunman along with Kailash Satyarthi, an Indian children’s rights activist, has won the 2014 Nobel peace prize

The two were named winner of the £690,000 (8m kronor or $1.11m) prize by the chairman of the Nobel committee - Norway’s former Prime Minister Thorbjoern Jagland - on Friday morning.

Malala, now 17, won for what the Nobel committee called her “heroic struggle” for girls’ right to an education. She is the youngest ever winner of the prize.
After being shot she was airlifted to Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham, where she was treated for life-threatening injuries.

She has since continued to campaign for girls’ education, speaking before the UN, meeting Barack Obama, being named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people and last year publishing the memoir I am Malala.

In a statement, the Nobel committee said: “Despite her youth, Malala Yousafzai has already fought for several years for the right of girls to education, and has shown by example that children and young people, too, can contribute to improving their own situations.

“This she has done under the most dangerous circumstances. Through her heroic struggle she has become a leading spokesperson for girls’ rights to education.”
Satyarthi, the Nobel committee said, had maintained the tradition of Mahatma Gandhi and headed various forms of peaceful protests.

“Showing great personal courage, Kailash Satyarthi, maintaining Gandhi’s tradition, has headed various forms of protests and demonstrations, all peaceful, focusing on the grave exploitation of children for financial gain,” the committee said. “He has also contributed to the development of important international conventions on children’s rights.”

The Nobel committee said it “regards it as an important point for a Hindu and a Muslim, an Indian and a Pakistani, to join in a common struggle for education and against extremism”.

Satyarthi, 60, founded Bachpan Bachao Andolan - or the Save the Childhood Movement - in 1980 and has acted to protect the rights of 80,000 children,dedicated his prize to children in slavery, telling CNN-IBN: “It’s an honour to all those children who are still suffering in slavery, bonded labour and trafficking.”

 “It’s an honour to all my fellow Indians. I am thankful to all those who have been supporting my striving for more than the last 30 years,” he said.

“A lot of credit goes to the Indians who fight to keep democracy so alive and so vibrant, where I was able to keep my fight on.

“Something which was born in India has gone globally and now we have the global movement against child labour. After receiving this award I feel that people will give more attention to the cause of children in the world.”

His Excellency Admiral Murtala Hammanyero Nyako, GCON wishes to express satisfaction with the judgment passed by the Federal High Court in Abuja declaring that the former Deputy Governor Barr. Bala James Ngillari has not resigned as Deputy Governor. This is a further testimony to the fact that the entire process associated with the purported impeachment saga had been just series of acts characterized by extreme illegality and political brigandage. Buoyed by a system that promotes impunity and abuse of all legal and constitutional procedures, the law makers in Adamawa State took it upon themselves to abuse all known legal norms to enthrone a regime anchored on illegalities.

We wish to observe that this is the first step in the judicial process of correcting the wrongs of the Adamawa State House of Assembly. We are confident that the Nigerian judiciary will further confirm the injustices associated with the purported removal of Governor Murtala Nyako which was done in a manner akin to a civilian coup d’état. The process of the reversal of all the series of illegalities connected with the supposed impeachment saga has only just commenced and will continue until it culminates with the return of Governor Nyako to Government House, Yola.

His Excellency Murtala H. Nyako wishes to congratulate Barr. Bala Ngillari on his success at the Court and advises him to take up the responsibilities of his new office with his famed patience and humility. He should be mindful of the nature of Adamawa State as a diverse and plural society and therefore rule the people with justice, fairness and the fear of God. The new Governor is further advised to heal the deep wounds of mistrust and mutual suspicion inflicted on the people of the state by the illegal government of the Acting Governor.

Finally we call on the people of Adamawa State to remain calm, law abiding and to extend all necessary support to the new leadership and to wish Barr Bala Ngillari success and God’s guidance in his new assignment. We also call on the people to pray for the new Governor and the State so that peace will be restored and the State returned to the path of progress, harmony and peaceful co-existence.  We equally wish to assure the good people of Adamawa State that God willing, and in no too distant future, the Courts will return Admiral Murtala Nyako as the Governor of Adamawa State.

LINDA IKEJI NEVER COMMITTED ANY COPYRIGHT CRIME

Linda Ikeji, is no doubt the trail blazer blogger in Nigeria. Am one of her committed followers and she is a friend and fellow blogger too. However, it baffled me on Wednesday 8th, 2014, when i couldn’t see her blog on the Google!  What popped up was ‘’ Sorry, the blog at lindaikeji.blogspot.com been removed. This address is not available for new blogs.’’

However, an acquisition from Mukhtar Dan’Iyan, the Editor-in-Chief of US-based The 15 Past Eight Media Group, said “I spoke up about the unauthorised use of my intellectual property that was taken from my TL (time line),” Mr. Dan’Iyan, who tweets via @MrAyeDee , this and other  multiple allegations of copyright infringement complains led to her blog been deleted from Google !Before I go further on this article, i will love to define blog as follows:

From the above, we can deduce that blog is a new medium to disseminate information in short; informal, sometimes deeply personal at the same time or sometime controversial; that is blog is a means of sharing information and also of interacting: It’s more about conversation than content … so far. I think it is equally tiresome and useless to argue about whether blogs are journalism, for journalism is not limited by the tool or medium or person used in the act’’.

If blogging is then more about sharing information, conversation than content; what copyright infringements are we then talking about here?

Blogs are incredible vehicles of communication, all bloggers are working towards the main goal i.e to inform and educate the people.

What makes Linda the most successful blogger is that she started blogging as a hobby without no creative story behind her, she just wanted to try something completely new! As you deduce from her saying ‘Rome was not built in a day ‘blogging takes time which is our most valuable asset in this life, hence Linda will definitely bounce back.

 Linda Ikeji, once said in an interview that ‘’Nothing good comes easy. She narrated her humble beginning as a blogger with ‘’ 200 visits a day and for me then, it was a big deal, honestly, now I’m getting like 50,000 visits a day from up to 180 countries. It took her four years to start making money from blogging. I never even thought that I would make money from blogging, and I didn’t start with the mind-set that one day I would make money from it.

“I didn’t even think that was a possibility , it never even crossed my mind, I didn’t say to myself that ok let me blog now and maybe in five years’ time, I will make money from it. I never imagined that it would ever happen, infact, in 2008, 2009, I was putting free ads on my blog, I was telling my blog readers, please give me your ads and I will put them for free, but then in 2010, people started asking me for my adverts rates and I was like ‘really’? I didn’t even know what it was until I now asked a few people and they gave me their own advert rates so that is how it stated.”
Linda is a dedicated passionate blogger with mindset of getting to the top, she is a brilliant and a good role model that need all our support at this trial period.

‘’ Find what you love doing and do it well, to all the young girls out there, if you are reading this, you can make it on your own . You don’t need to spread your legs for men, you don’t need this married men who just take your glory. You are strong, you are beautiful, and there is nothing you can’t achieve on your own. God has given you something no one else has found what it is and build yourself. Don’t worry about what it is and build yourself.

LINDA IKEJI: STILL ON COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT AND PLAGIARISM...AYE DEE SAID HE WARNED LINDA

Mukhtar Dan’Iyan, the Editor-in-Chief of US-based The 15 Past Eight Media Group,has spoke up after Linda Ikeji used his tweets about developments in the war against the Boko Haram insurgency without his permission.

“I spoke up about the unauthorised use of my intellectual property that was taken from my TL (time line),” Mr. Dan’Iyan, who tweets via @MrAyeDee, told PREMIUM TIMES in an interview, Wednesday.

“(I) filed a formal DMCA complaint to Google which hosted her site.
“One complaint is not enough. But safe to assume when Google looked through other examples of unauthorised IP usage and other IP owners filing complaints, it all added up.

“I emailed her (Linda Ikeji) repeatedly. And it was not the first time people had plagiarised my content, but usually, I reach out and they take it down,” Mr. Dan’Iyan added.

A Digital Copyright Millenium Act, DMCA, is an avenue to report content that you would like removed from Google’s services under applicable laws.

Mr. Dan’Iyan’s accusations and subsequent threats of organising a class action against the popular blogger drew the ire of the numerous fans who accused him of envy and hate.

However,in her response on Tuesday to the accusations, Ms. Ikeji dismissed the plagiarism allegations and accused Mr. Dan’Iyan of using another name, Emmanuel Efremov, to stalk her, as well as register almost ten of her domain names.

But Mr. Dan’Iyan said Mr. Efremov is one of the directors in his company.
“15Past8.com has owners like any other company. He’s one of them,” Mr. Dan’Iyan said.

“Emmanuel (Efremov) has never tried to sell anything to Linda, nor has he ever demanded any sort of money from her. In fact, I doubt he’s ever had any interaction with here even in passing.”
Meanwhile,Mr. Dan’Iyan said he had backed out.

“People are sending stuff in, but hopefully, when she bounces back, as I know she will, she will be the paragon of accountability when it comes to using material,” he said.

“In other words, she’ll only use that which she got permission for, this way tempers would cool and lawsuit won’t proceed by aggrieved parties (of which I am no longer one).
