CAMEROONIANS ARE ANGRY....PAUL BIYA PHOTO-SHOPPED INTO SOLDIERS FUNERAL...

Cameroonians are angry with their President Paul Biya and members of his cabinet after this image of him above purportedly showing him at the state burial for 39 soldiers killed by Boko Haram members, surfaced online yesterday.

The President, who travelled to Switzerland yesterday, did not attend the funeral but someone in his team photo-shopped (one of the old tricks) him into one of the funeral photos and posted it on their website!!!

Cameroonians, who were already angry that Mr Biya didn't honour the soldiers with his presence, are enraged........ and are slamming their president on social media. See one of their reactions after the cut...

FULANI HERDSMEN SACK TOR TIV FROM PALACE

Chief Daniel Abomtse, has alleged that the Tor Tiv, Dr Alfred Torkula, has been sacked from his palace by Fulani insurgents.

The Paramount Ruler of Gwer, said this today at his Makurdi Government House Lodge, while speaking with journalists thus:

“As I speak with you, Fulani insurgents have taken over the village of Tor Tiv. His Royal Majesty, Dr Alfred Akawe Torkula, can no longer attend burial and other functions in his community. They walk freely with guns and all I know is that the invasion is a conspiracy against Tiv people and Benue community.

“These insurgents, who disguise as herders, confiscate everything belonging to our people; and if nothing urgently is done, it therefore means that Benue State, and by implication, Nigeria, is sitting on a keg of gun powder due to our strategic location.”

He also said nine districts in his domain, were currently under the control of insurgents, whom he argued were not ordinary nomads.

FAYOSE TOOK HIS MADNESS FURTHER...SAYS HIS MUM WEARS PAMPERS @70

Statement from Kayode Ogundamisi - Diaspora for Buhari - Osinbanjo

Today Ayo Fayose took his madness a bit further by using his mother as an example of why Nigerians should not vote for an elderly person as candidate. Fayose's claim that his mother wears pampers is a new low just to make a political point.

In 1983 Chief Obafemi Awolowo contested for Presidency @ age 74 and Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe @ age 79. Can bigot Ayo Fayose tell us if they both wore dipers? Fayose's fear of Buhari is more to do with Fayose facing justice for corruption than Buhari's age.

DIVISIONAL POLICE OFFICER GETS PROMOTION AFTER RAPE OF FEMALE DETAINEE IN LAGOS

The Network on Police Reforms in Nigeria (NOPRIN) has condemned the seemingly promotion of Mr. Adekunle Awe, a Superintendent of Police (SP) and then Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Onikan Police Division, who allegedly raped a 31- year-old female detainee in his custody on April 15 2014.

According Okechukwu Nwanguma,  the National Coordinator of NOPRIN, rather than be reprimanded for raping a female suspect while she was in his custody, Adekunle Awe appeared to have been congratulated, as latest findings reveals that he is presently the second in Commander, in Area C Police Command, Surulere, Lagos. This is a great leap from being a DPO when he allegedly raped the suspect.

The victim, Miss. Akinwunmi, accused the DPO of rape while she was in his custody.
According to her, she was arrested on a Tuesday about 1: am and the rape occurred on same day at about 10pm.

Miss. Akinwunmi said: “He said I should wash, but I said no. He started shouting at me, saying he would make sure I and my brothers go to jail. I went into his toilet. There was a bucket filled with water. The water contained Dettol. I used it to wash.”

The then Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Abubakar ordered the Lagos State Command to set up a panel to look into the rape allegation. Since then, the case appeared to have been swept under the carpet.
Nwanguma who revealed the latest on Awe, while addressing journalists on ‘Police brutality and abuse persist,’ said: “As you are aware, NOPRIN has been in the fore front of the campaign for justice in this case, to ensure that it was not swept under the carpet.

“We recalled that the then police PRO Lagos State Police Command,  Ngozi Braide, who was a member of the investigation team at the Lagos State Command, had told journalists about two weeks after the incident that the outcome of police investigation would be made public through a press conference.

“Today   nearly 12 months after the incident was exposed by NOPRIN through the media, and contrary to promises by police authorities of impartial and transparent investigation, the police are yet to make public the outcome of their investigation which traversed three levels from Lagos State Police Command, through Zone 2 to the Force Headquarters.”
He said that at intervals, NOPRIN continued to raise the alarm over fears that the police were deliberately delaying and prolonging investigation as a machination to wear out public patience.

He opined: “The police want to sweep the matter under the carpet once public interest subsided and public attention shifted. The police are under a moral burden to convince us that this is not what has happened eventually. Today, we are yet to know the outcome of police investigations in this case.

“But we know that the suspected culprit, former DPO Mr. Adekunle Awe, is still serving in Lagos State Command and working free while his victim has been left to lick her psychological and physical wounds. She has received no justice, despite losing her job, dignity and reputation in the aftermath of the violent sexual abuse she suffered.”

GENERAL MARTIN AGWAI REMOVED AS SURE-P BOSS FOR ATTENDING OBASANJO'S EVENT

Presidential spokesperson Reuben Abati a few hours ago announced the removal of SURE-P boss, General Martin Luther Agwai, and now there are reports that he was sacked for attending former president Obasanjo’s birthday event last week.

According to Premium Times
reports General Agwai was fired for flouting a presidential instruction that no government official or member of the ruling PDP, should attend the birthday event of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, last week.

Our sources said when informed of the president’s warning, General Agwai, who climbed to the pinnacle of his career under the Obasanjo administration, said he will go ahead and attend the function, more so, in view of the president’s directive. Our sources said for daring the president, it was clear General Agwai would be fired.
One source said it appears General Agwai was informed ahead of the announcement of his removal Tuesday, as the former defence chief arrived early at the SURE-P office to pack his belongings.
General Agwai himself replaced Dr.Christopher Kolade, who left office after criticising the president
