NIGERIA IS ON THE VERGE OF SOMETHING NEW...BUHARI

The text of address by General Muhammadu  Buhari ,APC presidential candidate at an Interactive Session with the Nigerian Press Organisation, NPO in Abuja today Tuesday 17th March...

Thank you for honouring me with your presence here today. Thank you for heeding my invitation to this special meeting with key stakeholders in the Nigerian media. Our country is on the verge of something new. The tide has turned and the world can sense the wave of change that is about to flood this nation. In less than two weeks, the Nigerian electorate will head to the polls to make their voices heard.

Through the ballot, without a single shot fired, a change revolution will likely take place. There are two specific reasons why I have invited you here today.

The first is to use the opportunity to say a special thank you to the Nigerian media for the role you have played in advancing our country’s democracy thus far, and especially for being a platform through which Nigerians’ cry for CHANGE was articulated all around the world.

On newspaper pages, TV screens and radio waves, the alarming depth of corruption and impunity in our country, the terrifying level of insecurity, and the grim state of our economy were kept constantly before the world’s eyes, making it impossible for the current government to doctor the truth, despite their meanest efforts. I urge you to not relent in your role as watchdogs, to continue to be the voice of the people. The health of Nigeria’s democracy rests partly on you.

Without a robust and thriving media, the masses would have no voice. The electorate would also not have sufficient information to make sound decisions, such as deciding to vote out a clueless government and vote in CHANGE. Secondly, I want to give you my full assurances that in this democratic dispensation, I will ensure that the Nigerian constitution is upheld. This includes respect for the media, respect for the right to free expression and freedom of speech. Page 1 of 2 any of you are aware of Decree 4 of 1984, which was heavily criticised. I have said elsewhere that I cannot change the past. But I can change the present and the future.

Dictatorship goes with military rule as do edicts such as Decree 4. However, I am a former–former, note the emphasis on the word ‘former’–military ruler and now a converted democrat, who is ready to operate under democratic norms. I am not only subjecting myself to the rigours of democratic elections for the fourth time, but even after being elected, I will continue to promote the consolidation of democracy in our great country, Nigeria, by guaranteeing that the media’s freedom is not compromised in any way.

I give you my full assurances that the Nigerian media will be free under our APC government. I also want to use this opportunity to appeal to you to use your media outlets in shaping positive public discourse and eschew hate speech mongering and slanderous political rhetorics which heat up the polity for the sake of peace and stability of our dear nation.

Thank you, once again, for being here this afternoon. I look forward to working with you in future, and to similar meetings which shall take place on a regular basis to keep the Nigerian people constantly informed about the activities of the government that they will have elected to serve them. General Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR

I LIKE NICE ASS & B@@BS LIKE GENEVIEVE ...JOHN AGOHA

Meet the man who is obsess for Nollywood star, Genevieve Nnaji., he is no other person than designer/singer, John Agoha.

In a recent chat with Nigeriafilm.com, the singer revealed his ideal woman and his plans for marriage thus:

When asked why he likes girls with physical endowment? He stated his reason as;
“That is what turns me on.”

He also said if left in a closed door with the actress, he cannot control his urge to be in bed with her.
“Man! I don’t need to take my bath to do anything with her. I can’t wait to have her on my bed. (Laughs).”

DAVIDO FOLLOWING 2FACE FOOTSTEPS..OLDER LOVER CLAIMS SHE IS PREGNANT 4 HIM

Davido OBO crooner, who says that his other talent, apart from music, is love making, is now following the footsteps of 2face is now in the news for allegedly impregnating an older lover, an Abuja based university drop-out, Sophie aka Belladonna,

The report says that: ‘Belladona is known as a big time runs girl in the whole of Abuja, she and her friends Harriet and Rockxy have practically slept with virtually all the big boys and politicians in Abuja, so the HKN crew know her story and can never be happy especially now that she is claiming to be pregnant for Davido.’

According to source who to speak with NET on condition of secrecy, said:   ‘People like to talk; the fact that the girl is pregnant doesn’t mean that Davido is the one responsible. Anyway, we both know it’s not today that we’ve been having all this pregnancy allegations for Davido.”

NORTHERN TRADITIONAL RULERS' STAYS NEUTRAL ON JONATHAN & BUHARI BUT BACK JEGA

Northern Traditional Rulers’ Council has said they would do their part within the law to ensure politicians do not destroy the country in their desperation for power also said it would neither endorse the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan nor its All Progressives Congress opponent, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.),  but backed the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, to lead the commission to conduct free, fair and transparent elections in March 28 and April 11.

In a statement on Saturday, 14th, by the Etsu Nupe, Dr. Yahaya Abubakar. The statement reads: “The council noted the dire need for the emergence of free, fair and credible elections and resolved to lend a helping hand to the statutory body established to oversee the conduct of the elections that is INEC.

“The council equally commended the good work being done by INEC under the able leadership of Prof. Attahiru Jega and prayed for the success of INEC’s worthy assignment”.

“These challenges, coming at the current stage of the nation’s development have to be addressed very carefully and responsibly. In these circumstances, the country needs statesmen more than mere politicians, for these challenges call for reflective and strategic leadership.

“Therefore, the council calls on the statesmen in the country to come forward and appreciate the need to act like statesmen so as to take the country out of the doldrums.
“As fathers of the nation and custodians of societal values, traditional rulers shall remain neutral and shall ensure that peace reigns. But the traditional rulers need the cooperation of the political leadership,” the statement said.

“Unfortunately, some religious and ethnic leaders have joined the bandwagon thereby making matters worse.

“The vocabulary used and absence of respect and decorum in the campaigns is particularly disturbing for it tends to initiate the younger generation into a culture of incivility and insolence. It will be sad and tragic if this is all the political leadership is able to bequeath to posterity.

“Traditional rulers cannot watch and fold their hands while the values of the society are torn to pieces and sacrificed on the altar of political ambitions. The council was also immensely disturbed by the kind of exchanges that tend to inflame passions and provoke conflicts constituting a clear breach of the peace,” the NTRC stated.

CANDID OPINION: DON'T ALLOW POLITICIANS TO USE YOU TO CAUSE CIVIL WAR!!!

Elections are coming and the politicians are playing there games...doling out money, rice, chickens, abada’(clothes), etc all these gift is to cajole you to vote for them in the forth coming elections!!! To vote in an elections is your fundamental human right, so cast your vote wisely, if your Pastor, Imam,Oba, Obi or Emir  tells you to vote for Burhari or Jonathan, don’t argue with them, but use your brain, if you like vote for them   but never, ever  take up arms, kill or maim on their behalf as currently.

To be sincere with each other, 99.9 % of our politicians, clergies and wealthy Nigerian will run overseas when the catastrophe hits the ground. They'll run with their wives, kids and favoured family members and their dogs!!!

Don’t listen to the likes of   Asari-Dokubo rough statement.... “When some people say they have a right to rule and others don’t have, then there is no sitting on the fence. All of us will have to be in the ring and fight. We cannot leave Goodluck (Jonathan) alone.
“My support for Jonathan will be biased, because charity begins at home. Monkey no fine, but im mama like am. Goodluck, na my person. 2015 is already a settled matter. Goodluck Jonathan would be President in 2015.
“Whether they contest or they don’t. If they say the blood of the dogs and the baboons will be soaked in the streets, or salt water in the streets, we will help them in blood in the streets.”

‘’I will declare for the PDP. We will fight, because in this battle, there is no retreat, no surrender. We will not take any prisoner of war. It will be total battle,” he said.

When the corpses pile in the streets and we cleans our streets with blood soaked rags, as our tears runs over another death of a beloved, in the ensuing anarchy, those that ran, who caused the mayhem, will be in air conditioner 5-hotel rooms overseas, sipping Moet and eating 5-course meal.

Back to my root, The Alayeluwa Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona , Ogbagba II,Awujale of Ijebuland, is blunt and straight forward monarch, told Nigerians that , Obas are politician and they don’t campaign for any party or individuals, “ we don’t campaign for any politician, we have resolved to maintain our dignity and integrity. We are fathers to all, we should not be seen as playing partisan politics and will never be part of such arrangements’’ Be that as it may, I hope all other monarchies will emulate the Awujale.

It would be recalled that Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra on Friday protested in Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, among other locations in the South-East, calling for the immediate removal of Jega. While Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), members who massed at the 7UP/Toll Gate end of the expressway, yesterday, carried guns, cutlasses, pocket knives among other weapons, occupied one end of the busy highway, harassed some motorists and passers-by plying the road. This was an act of lawlessness and police must look into it.
