A LADY STABBED HER LOVER TO DEATH IN LAGOS BECAUSE SHE WAS HUNGRY!!!

Gift Wahab, 20, was arrested for stabbing her live-in-lover to death at the Ajegunle area of Lagos State. Wahab who claimed that she did it out of self-defence said the trouble between them after she told the deceased that she was hungry, but he told her to go and ‘drinkgarri.’

The two had soon started quarrelling, resulting in Ebi repeatedly hitting Wahab. Apparently filled with impotent anger, the suspect dashed and picked a kitchen. She used it to stab the deceased on the neck.

Wahab said: “Since I couldn't over power him, I sought to defend myself. I rushed to pick a knife to prevent him from coming closer to hit me. But he continued coming towards me. It was in the process of dragging with him, that the knife mistakenly got him on the neck. He started bleeding."
The suspect, who started living with Ebi since she was 18, insisted that she never meant to kill him. She said that the two of them were not just live-in-lovers, but had plans to marry. She added that they once had a baby who died few months after her birth.

The couple met in 2013 in a night club and since then became lovers. She said she was confused when it dawned on her that she had stabbed Ebi. She started screaming until neighbours came. Ebi was rushed to the hospital, but died on the way.

Policemen from Layeni Police Station whisked Wahab away for interrogation. She was later transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, Lagos State, for further investigation.

A police source said: “The suspect confessed that she wasn't in her real sense when she killed the man.”

Wahab said: “I dropped out of school in SS2, after I lost my father. We were four kids. My mother alone couldn’t cope with the four of us. I started going to night clubs with friends. I met Ebi in 2013 in one of the night clubs I used to frequent. We started interacting and later fell in love. We started dating.”

Wahab, who described Ebi, simply as a businessman, added “I got pregnant for him and in December 2014, I gave birth to a baby girl. But the baby died later same month and year,” said Wahab. “We were still going out as usual until on March 19, 2015, after we got back from clubbing. I told him he should give me the key to the house, so that I could go in, especially since I was hungry. But he refused to hearken to my words, neither did he gave me money to eat. Rather, he said I should go and drink garri that night and go to bed. I didn't utter a word until he started raising issues which led to our quarrel and soon he began to punch me.”

 A former professional boxer, Stephen O'Meara, 31, was part of an organized international drug and gun running syndicate jailed for 77 years for smuggling £11million of cocaine into the UK with the help of corrupt British Airways workers.

The men are; Savdeep Atkar, 33, sentenced to 21 years for importing cocaine, David Brown, 51, sentenced to 13 years for supplying cocaine, Harvinder Sanghera, 33 sentenced to a total of 30 years for importing cocaine, smuggling guns, and Stephen O'Meara, 31, sentenced 13 years for supplying cocaine.

According to the Metropolitan Police, they were sentenced at Southwark Crown Court on March 20th, 2015 to a total of 77 years.

Between early 2012 and October 2013, officers from the Special Intelligence Section of the Met Police's Serious and Organised Command (Organised Criminal Networks) carried out an investigation into the activities of a sophisticated cocaine supply network that stretched from Mexico, the USA, and Canada to the streets of London.

This conspiracy, involved organised drug distributors based in Mexico City using British Airways transatlantic flights and a sophisticated team of distributors in London.
In total, police intercepted 40 kilos of cocaine with purity levels of over 90% with a street level value of £11 million, together with 100 rounds of 9mm ammunition.

A SERVING COUNCILLOR ARRESTED ALONG HIS KIDNAPPING GANG MEMBER IN OGUN STATE

Lateef Agboola, a serving councillor in Ogun State has been arrested alongside four of his gang members other for alleged kidnapping. Mr. Agboola, who claimed to be from Ward 4 of the APC, is a member of the legislative arm of Odogbolu Local Government Area.

The arrest of the kidnap syndicate was effected on Friday, when the Special Anti-Robbery Squad led by Mohammed Tijani, a superintendent of police, stormed the gang’s hideout located in Oke-Sopin area of Ijebu-Igbo town in Ijebu North Local Government of the State.

The suspects (: Lateef Agboola, Tunde Akilo, Sunkanmi Dacosta, Ahmed Adebanjo and Mukaila Olatunji

) were arrested in their hideout with a number of charms and guns, while two are still on the run.

The arrested councillor in a statement to journalists admitted that his vehicle was used for the operation.

“I regret my involvement,” he said. “My political career is finished. I only gave them my car when my brother told me the vehicle they used for the operation had flat tyre.” . Lateef Agboola, said.

All suspects admitted their operations within one month earned each of them a minimum of N300, 000 from ransoms paid by families of their victims.

The Commissioner of Police, Valentine Ntomchukwu, during his visit to the kidnappers’ hideout on Saturday said the building used by the gang has be taken over and sealed by the police.

NIGERIAN LADY LATE SAMIRA ADAMU: AN ASYLUM SEEKER WHO DIED IN THE HAND OF BELGIAN POLICE

It was just like yesterday that a Nigerian lady Samira Adamu, 20, was allegedly killed by a Belgium policeman on 22nd of September, 1998.

Sémira Adamu, then an asylum seeker died at the hands of five Belgian policemen in 1998, during a botched deportation attempt aboard a Togo-bound plane after police employed the "cushion technique" to restrain her. Ms Adamu , who was then fleeing a forced marriage to a violent 65-year-old man in Nigeria who already had four wives.

The manner of her death then forced the country's then interior minister, Louis Tobback, to resign. While a Brussels court handed down suspended sentences to four of the five officers, who claimed then that they were only following orders.

The court ordered then that the Belgian state to pay undisclosed damages to the dead woman's family.

 Hein Diependaele, a lawyer for Ms Adamu's family, welcomed the judgment. "It is symbolic, but it shows something went seriously wrong," he told the VRT TV network.

Samira’s case was a landmark and a turning point in Belgium's #immigration and deportation policy which eventually make the Belgium’s police union immediately announced its members would stop forcibly repatriating refugees and would seek talks with the country's interior minister to discuss the government's policy.
