POLITICS WITH BITTERNESS...FAYOSE ORDERS THE EXHUMATION OF FORMER DEPUTY-GOVERNOR ADUNI OLAYINKA !!!!

Governor Ayodele Fayose has ordered the exhumation of the body of former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, late Moremi, Adunni Olayinka, away from Moremi Park where her body was laid to rest.

A member of the Famuagun family who spoke in confidence said, a letter was sent to the family and was received by the father of Moremi at his residence at Oke Aremu, Ado Ekiti before a meeting was fixed at the family at Saseere lodge in Igbehin.

The news of the state government ugly moved was received in shock and described as an insult to the dead.“We are not finding it funny any longer. Gov Fayose has displayed the height of notoriety even to the dead who served Ekiti State meritoriously”. This idea, as you can does not sit well with any member of the family. We condemned it in totality.

FULL TEXT : PRESIDENT JONATHAN'S BROADCAST ON GENERAL ELECTION

Dear Compatriots,

1.            As we prepare to go to the polls tomorrow, I have come before you this morning to express my immense appreciation for the opportunity you gave me to lead this great nation of ours in the past four years.

2.           I also wish to place on record, once again, my sincere gratitude for the support you have given my administration without which the significant progress we have made in recent years would not have been possible.Continue...

3.           In spite of the many challenges we have had to contend with since 1999, our present democratic dispensation continues to endure and grow stronger in keeping with the yearnings and aspirations of our people.

4.           We have all worked very hard to nurture and strengthen our democratic institutions and promote the good governance practices which they were designed to deliver for the better well-being of  our people.

5.           I believe I can say without fear of contradiction that we all clearly cherish the democracy we now have and will never willingly give it up for any other form of governance.

6.           This much-cherished democracy of ours is about to be put to the test once again.

7.           I urge you all to troop out en-masse to peacefully perform your civic duty of voting for leaders of your choice tomorrow.

8.          As we do so, let us all - political party leaders, contestants, party members, party agents, supporters and ordinary voters alike, be very conscious of the fact that the eyes of the entire world are on us.

9.           We must therefore comport ourselves in a manner that will further strengthen our democracy and consolidate our place in the comity of truly democratic nations.

10.       I made a commitment on assumption of office to progressively deliver freer, fairer and more credible elections in our country. In keeping with that commitment, the Federal Government has given the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) all necessary support to ensure that it conducts very successful elections tomorrow and on April 11.

11.        We have all been assured that INEC is fully ready for the elections. I believe that we can all trust that they are certainly more ready now than they may have been before security issues and other concerns necessitated a re-scheduling of the dates for the 2015 general elections.

12.       As an administration, we welcome the fact that millions of Nigerians who were yet to receive their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) as at February 14, and would therefore have been unfairly disenfranchised if the polls had gone ahead  on that date, have seized the opportunity of the re-scheduling to collect their cards and can now exercise their right to vote tomorrow.

13.       We are also glad that our gallant Armed Forces have successfully stemmed the seizure of Nigerian territories in the North-East by the terrorist group, Boko Haram.
14.       They have recaptured most of the communities and territories formerly occupied by the insurgents, making it possible for thousands of internally-displaced Nigerians to begin returning to their homes and communities.

15.       I heartily commend the very courageous men and women of our Armed Forces for the immense sacrifices which they continue to make in defending the nation and protecting its citizens.

16.       I also thank all Nigerians for keeping faith with us over the past six weeks.

 17.       I call on all political parties and politicians in the country to allow the free, unfettered will of our people to be expressed without any hindrance in the coming elections in keeping with the hallowed principles and tenets of democratic governance which we all profess.

18.      The will of the people freely expressed through the ballot is the bedrock of all democracies and ours cannot be an exception.

19.       Let us all therefore be prepared, as true democrats, to graciously accept the outcome of the elections as the rightful choice of our people from whom all political powers in our democracy must emanate.

20.     My administration has done its utmost best in the past four years to deliver on our promise to positively transform our country.

21.       Tomorrow’s election is another very important milestone as we continue our march towards the fulfillment of our God-given potential for greatness.

22.      The election offers us another opportunity to empower leaders of our choice once again, and to show the world that genuine democracy is alive and well in our beloved nation.

 23.      I will like to restate my belief that no political ambition can justify violence or the shedding of the blood of our people.

24.      I reaffirm once again, my personal preparedness to ensure fair play during the elections and to deploy the resources and institutions of state only in the manner prescribed by our laws.

25.      Let me warn, however, that as President, Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, I am under oath to protect the lives of all Nigerians and the security of our country at all times. I will never abdicate my responsibilities in that regard.

26.      Democracy allows dissent. It encourages differences and even fervent disagreements. But elections must never be mistaken for war or an opportunity to set fellow citizens against each other and tear our beloved nation apart.

27.       Those who may harbor any intentions of testing our will by unleashing violence during the elections in order to advance their political ambitions should think again as all necessary measures have been put in place to ensure that any persons who breach the peace or cause public disorder during or after the elections are speedily apprehended and summarily dealt with according to our laws.

28.     The nation’s security agencies are also fully prepared and ready to deal decisively with any group or persons who attempt to disrupt the peaceful conduct of the elections or cause any form of public disorder.

29.       Our dear country, Nigeria is the largest democracy amongst black nations of the world. We are a nation of great accomplishments, with a proud history of evolving affinities.

30.     Let us go out tomorrow to vote peacefully and set a fitting example of political maturity for other emerging democracies to follow.

31.       I wish you all and our dear nation, very peaceful and successful elections.

32.      May God Almighty continue to bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

33.      I thank you all.

AMAECHI ESCAPES DEATH AS GUNSHOTS FIRE AT HIM ON THURSDAY

Rotimi Amaechi, Rivers State Governor, was reportedly attacked by gunmen suspected to be political thugs in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the State. It was gathered that escaped death by whiskers as some gunshots fired at him during a door-to-door ward campaign in the area.

The incident happened around 6pm today and two people were injured in the process. Obio/Akpor is said to be the home of the PDP governorship candidate in the state, Nyesom Wike.

HOODLUMS HAVE TAKES OVER EKITI STATE BARELY 48 HOURS TO ELECTION !!!

Press statement as released on Kayode Fayemi's website today about the security situation Ekiti state

It has come to our attention that a team of hoodlums in three unmarked Hilux vehicles went round the State, armed with guns, machetes, knives and axes to the houses of APC members and also to the homes of PDP members in the State who are opposed to the political philosophy of Governor Ayo Fayose. Their most recent operation centered on Ijero Local Government. There, they created mayhem, beat and tortured the 90-year old father of the Commissioner for Finance under the Fayemi administration. The hoodlums destroyed shops and properties including cars belonging even to PDP members because of their perceived opposition to Fayose. The APC members were severely bloodied in the process.

This came barely 48 hours after former Governors Adebayo, Oni and Fayemi visited the State Commissioner of Police as well as the State Director of DSS on the security situation in Ekiti.  The Governors had called on the security chiefs to prevail on Governor Fayose to put an end to the ongoing impunity, thuggery, brigandage, political rascality and torture. We had warned that if push comes to shove, the Party and all well-meaning people in the State will result to self-help to protect themselves, their assets and their rights guaranteed under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

During the visit of the Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Ekiti on Monday March 23rd, 2015, members of APC riding to the reception venue in Buhari/Osinbajo and APC branded vehicles were attacked in Ado Ekiti. They were shot at and several of their vehicles, including those belonging to Hon. Mrs. Bunmi Oriniowo, APC House of Assembly candidate and Amb. Olofin, the APC Ekiti Central Senatorial candidate, were destroyed by the hoodlums.  We want to state unequivocally that we will no longer tolerate any further unprovoked attack on and willful destruction of APC branded vehicles and assets in the State.

Keeping calm thus far is not out of weakness or incapacity to respond. We are only mindful of the lessons of history. Please recall that the First Republic ended with the “Operation Wetie” political violence that erupted in Ekiti when similar situation of political rascality as we have now became prevalent in the West. We do not want this to happen again. Notwithstanding, if further provoked, we will have no choice than to respond in kind!

We can no longer continue to live with a situation in which seven lawmakers are making laws for the State in gross violation of our Constitution. It is alarming that this can be allowed to continue without anyone attempting to call the abnormality to order. Ekiti belongs to all of us and we will not allow any group of hoodlums to willfully bastardize our values and heritage. We remain committed to handing over to our children “a banner without stain”. We hope the security forces will actively carry out their constitutional mandate and savethis democracy from collapse.

Signed:
1.     His Excellency, Otunba Niyi Adebayo
2.     His Excellency, Asiwaju Segun Oni
3.     His Excellency, Dr. Kayode Fayemi.

NOLLYWOOD ACTRESSES WHO 'CRASHED' OTHERS' MARRIAGES (1)

Tayo Odueke (Sikiratu Sindodo)
Tayo Odueke (popularly called Sikiratu Sindodo – a name she got from one of the movies she featured In.This University of Lagos alumnus was alleged to have dated popular Nollywood actor cum producer, Kunle Afod, when he just got married, though the affair crumbled like a pack badly arranged cards. This was because she was not all that dedicated to it. No sooner had the illicit relationship crashed than National Union of Road Transport Worker (NURTW) big boy, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly called ‘MC Oluomo’ swept her off her feet. She was bought a Murano Jeep and this caused a lot of hullabaloo between Sikiratu and the man’s wives, who were scared because she was being over-pampered even as a concubine. Because of her closeness to MC Oluomo, other wives were ignored and this got them infuriated. It was rumoured that she had more than two miscarriages; MC Oluomo’s wives tried to use this as a reason to force her to leave their hubby, but she refused. However, those in the know believe this could have been part of her reason for leaving the NURTW big shot as she couldn’t hold on to a pregnancy.

Ibinabo Fiberisima
Ex-beauty queen cum actress and controversial DGN President, Ibinabo Fiberisima, is the mother of five kids from different men. The light-skinned lady who was once arrested and jailed for killing a medical doctor while driving, bore a daughter for Nollywood actor and producer Fred Amata, though the relationship collapsed soon after it started. What still remains a puzzle to many is how and when the relationship started in the first place as they were rarely together. They were so discreet about it until the divorce between Fred and Agatha Amata came to the open.
We recall the marriage between Fred and the ‘Inside-Out’ presenter Agatha collapsed due to irreconcilable differences after she bore him two kids. And Ibinabo claims the affair started after the break-up. Busybodies are however claiming the sizzling relationship had been on between these two love birds before the separation between husband and wife. She is married her childhood friend according to her.

Faithia Williams (Balogun)
After separating from estranged hubby, Saheed Balogun, beautiful mother of two, Faithia Balogun was rumoured to have dated several men in a bid to sustain her career in the movie world. After the break-up many thought she would quit acting because she came into the entertainment industry through Walata – Saheed Balogun. She was alleged to be sleeping with movie marketer and Corporate Pictures boss, Alhaji Razak Abdullahi and had on several occasions fought with other actresses because the man spent on her with reckless abandon. The fact that this man was legally married aided the affair because she wasn’t ready to settle down with another man after the break-up of her marriage.
Couple of weeks back she was sighted with another Nollywood actor cum producer, Goriola Hassan, the estranged husband of Ayo Adesanya, in an odd location and rumour mongers went to town with different stories regarding this alliance. Recall that the relationship between Goriola and Ayo crashed after she accused Goriola of battering her, and many say Faithia has not missed the beating she received from her erstwhile husband, because Goriola also has passion for battering women.
Her relationship with her husband of many years actually collapsed because of the allegation of acts of infidelity levelled against her. She succeeded in dating baritone-voiced Nollywood actor, Funsho Adeolu, who is legally married to his Akwa Ibom State-born wife; and tall and good-looking Globacom ambassador, Odunlade Adekola while she was married.

Ireti Osayemi
Heavily built Ireti Osayemi is the wife of actor and movie director, Bankole Adeoye, popularly called Banky Adeoye. Ireti was said to have dragged Banky Adeoye to the registry even though Banky had another woman who bore him children. Ireti Osayemi Adeoye who got into acting through one of Wale Adenuga’s soaps, Super Story, had been dating Bankole Adeoye whom we learnt had a dutiful wife at home until she surfaced. All that is history now because Shaki, the name she got from Funke Akindele’s block buster Jenifa succeeded in ousting the lady from Banky’s home. She is now the legal wife of Banky Adeoye.

Funke Adesiyan
She generated a lot controversy when she was seen with Saheed Balogun. Learnt she had been dating him before his marriage to his estranged wife crumbled and everybody had thought she would succeed in sealing the sizzling relationship with a marriage. But when she got the beating of her life from Saheed, she quickly ran for her dear life as it became clear to her that Saheed could never change.
She was also sighted with former governor of Kano State who also contested the presidential poll, Ibrahim Shekarau. Although, she refuted the tale of any relationship with him. Dark-skinned Funke is also rumoured to have dated Sati Rahmon.

Mosun Filani
Mosun Filani is one of the most sought-after actresses in Nollywood. She started acting within Abeokuta and before we knew it, she sought greener pastures in Lagos, where she was welcomed because of her talent. This Ikole-Ekiti-born babe who got married sometime ago was allegedly snatching other women’s husbands. She did a secret traditional marriage with Kayode Oduyoye, CEO of Shalom Group in Ibadan. The man’s wife was said to have left for South Africa with her kids when the marriage became unbearable for her.
Before tying the knot , she was accused of having dated Nollywood actor, producer and director Muyiwa Ademola, whose marriage was still very fresh.
After this she relocated to Ibadan for movie roles but Muyiwa’s wife got wind of the illicit affair and it became a mess between her and Muyiwa’s wife. She eventually left Ibadan with shame. She is rarely seen in movies now.

Taiwo Aromokun
She is one of the newest faces in Nollywood and the hottest face in the Abeokuta movie setting. But the fact that she is new in the movie world has not been a hindrance to her. Taiwo Aromokun who has featured in several Nollywood flicks was allegedly warming Odunlade Adekola’s bed, which explains why she is so favoured with roles from him.
She is also said to be enjoying the attention of NURTW big shot, Musiliu Akinsanya popularly called ‘MC Oluomo.’ Although when the affair started remains unclear, busybodies say it has been happening for a while. She is gaining so much from MC Oluomo, who is seen as an ATM machine. She has been sighted on several occasions with him, and they were seen holding hands during Bisi Ibidapo-Obe mom’s birthday bash.
