UGANDA : YOWERI MUSEVENI WINS 5TH TERM !

To be sincere with my African kinsmen, I am just tired of all these sit-tight African leaders! The question I desperately need an answer to is when would be the turn of the young vibrant Africans to make the necessary changes we deserve?  Yoweri Museveni, 5th Term/over 30 years in Office! They should just make him the emperor!.

Uganda's election commission has declared incumbent Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni ,71,has won a fifth term as president, extending his 30 years in office, while his nearest rival Kizza Besigye took 35%, the election commission said. The country had a voter turnout of 63%.

But Mr Besigye, who is under house arrest, said the results were a "sham", calling on the international community to reject them. "We have just witnessed what must be the most fraudulent electoral process in Uganda," he said in a statement.

EU observers have also criticised the poll, saying the governing party had created an "intimidating atmosphere" and that the opposition alleged vote rigging.

While praising the "remarkable determination" of Ugandans to vote, EU Chief Observer Eduard
Kukan said the governing National Resistance Movement's "domination of the political landscape distorted the fairness of the campaign".

The election has been marred by sporadic violence and opposition allegations of electoral fraud, with social media sites and messaging apps blocked.

ALL HAIL THE KING ! OBI AKAEZE I SUCCEEDED HIS LATE FATHER WHO WAS MURDERED

All hail the King! Ubulu-Uku kingmakers have presented Obi Akaeze I to succeed his father, late Obi Akaeze Edward Ofulue III who was kidnapped and subsequently murdered last month by gunmen.

The presentation of the 15-year-old King followed the fulfillment of different rites that culminated in his crowning as King by the kingmakers of Ubulu-Uku.

He was first presented to the members of the Royal family before the presentation to the council of elders at the palace.

The brief ceremony was attended by prominent citizens of the kingdom including the member representing Aniocha/Oshimili constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Mrs. Onyemaechi Mrakpor and the President-General of Ubulu-Uku Development Union, Comrade Jones
Ofunne.

Also in attendance was the chairman of Aniocha South council, Mr. Isaac Anwuzia, traditional chiefs and title holders in the kingdom, religious leaders, women, youths and other stakeholders of the agrarian community

Speaking on the significance of the ceremony, Secretary of the Palace, Barr. Joseph Obazei described it as “wonderful in our time.”

“This is a young man who was not even looking up to this position because his father was young and vibrant, unfortunately this bad event occurred.

“He has now been thrust upon the throne taking up the mantle of his late father. Ubulu-Uku people are very happy that somebody has taken up the throne because the king never dies.

“When it appears that there is no king, there is already a king. That is what has just happened.”Barr. Obazei told Saturday Sun that in Ubulu- Uku tradition, there were not too many rites to the installation of a new king.

“By our tradition, you can wake up in the morning and see the heir apparent sitting on the throne and issue orders which will be obeyed. That will show that something happened in the night and something has happened now.
“So this young man has taken over the stool of his father, and now he can begin to direct the town,” he explained.

On his part, the chairman of Aniocha South council, Mr. Anwuzia assured the new king and people of Ubulu-Uku of his administration’s unflinching support, adding that measures were already on to ensure the presentation of staff of office by the state government.

'I AM NOT A SPONSOR OR FOUNDER OF BOKO HARAM' -MODU SHERIFF

Ali Modu- Sheriff who recently was appointed Chairman of PDP says he's not a sponsor or founder of Boko Haram.  The former Borno governor who emerge as the new PDP chairman this week was heavily criticized with Femi Fani-Kayode calling him the indisputable founder of Boko Haram.

Exonerating himself, Ali Modu- Sheriff - "Boko Haram wanted to kill me at a time because they believed that I was the one that reported them to President Umaru Yar’Adua to destroy their enclave.

"It was after I left government that they moved to their different camps and bushes. Why should they kill my brother? Why should they kill my family if I am a sponsor of Boko Haram? Is there anywhere in the world that you sponsor people to kill you?”

"Let me give you a typical example. Just a week ago, all the social media planted my picture showing me with the card of APC joining the party. At that time, nobody wrote that I was Boko Haram. They said Sheriff was going back to APC; they were showing a card when we registered with APC before I left the party. We went to our villages to do it; that village they are showing on the social media was a village that was taken over by Boko Haram for the past three years. So, how could I have gone there to register?

"Few days after I became the Chairman of the PDP, Ali Sheriff is now Boko Haram; so if you are in APC you are not a Boko Haram. Throughout my period in APC, nobody said I was Boko Haram. Immediately I left the APC, I was termed Boko Haram," he said.

"Nobody in my family or relation is Boko Haram or close to any Boko Haram member. These people that wanted to kill me, up till today, if they have the chance, they will kill me because they think I reported them to Yar’Adua who leveled their places of worship and along the line, their leader was killed.

"And that was my crime and why they wanted to kill me. But people that are afraid of me changed the story and they keep on doing it. Every day, they write different things but you and I know that nobody is above the laws of Nigeria. I believe that President Buhari, even if it is his son or blood brother that is a Boko Haram, he will arrest and prosecute him. So the allegation is the figment of the imagination of the writers," he said.

WICKED MOTHER ALLEGEDLY KILLS HER SON & WRAPS THE REMAINS IN HER CAR BOOT SINCE 2005 !

Tonya Slaton, 44, a mother, is alleged to have killed her son Quincy Davis, 15, and wraps the remains of her dead son in plastic bags in the boot of her car as long ago as 2005… 10 years!

His death was only discovered when police in her native Virginia in June last year pulled over Slaton's car for expired tax discs and noticed a foul odour coming from the boot.

The stench coming from her boot convinced officers to investigate further and they found a black bin bag wrapped in duct tape.

Inside the bag were Quincy's remains, which were so badly decomposed that a cause of death could not be established.

Slaton, who has previous arrests for violence, is accused of attempting to cover up the body by throwing clothes on top.

Police say Quincy - who would now be 25 - was last seen alive in 2004. He was a seventh grader at Virginia Beach Middle School when he vanished but was never reported missing.

Slaton has now been charged with second degree murder and will appear in court next week.

WOMAN STAGED HER KINDAPPED TO STEAL £25K FROM BOYFRIEND

A CONWOMAN tricked her boyfriend into thinking she had been kidnapped by sending him photos of her gagged in an attempt to blackmail him out of £25,000.

Nadine Smith told Chris Laytham she was taken hostage by kidnappers in Jamaica, who were threatening to kill her unless they received the money.

After receiving the photos, which showed the 38-year-old gagged, bound and wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the words "Gold Digger", Laytham called police - who found her sitting in her apartment in Battersea, London.

Smith borrowed £3,000 from Laytham to fly to Jamaica and visit her ill mum in December last year, supposedly flying from London Gatwick on December 15.

Just one day after she had supposedly landed she sent her duped boyfriend a string of messages to fool him into thinking she had been kidnapped.

Laytham received a string of messages from alleged attackers, referring to Smith by her pet name "Chucky" and saying "we are going to kill her".

Smith called him shortly after sobbing and saying: "They have got me, they want money."
She then sent him two photos, one appearing to show her gagged and the other with her hands apparently tied.

Laytham then received a message from the "kidnappers" saying they would kill her if he didn't send them £25,000.

Speaking about the con, Adams said: "He could understand two other people had been with her and they had been killed because no one had provided the money they had asked for.
